Re: 8 Passengers: Part One
Omg the whole time I thought you guys meant Julie, Rubys sister... So I thought you were talking about Jennifer being a scary mom behind the scenes.
I'll have to watch when i get time tomorrow! Julie is the one with the short bob, right? Because she's the one who does seem nervous and quiet in the vlogs.

Re: 8 Passengers: Part One
i felt so bad for Julie- she was so nervous to open her bag. Sometimes I forget she is only 7 because she is so tall. It seemed like it was the first time Ruby was hearing about her favourite stuffed animal which was also sad- I can't imagine being 7 and not being tucked into bed by my parents.

Re: 8 Passengers: Part One
We've been talking about Jennifer being a "Mommie Dearest". But today we've focused on an interaction between Ruby and her daughter Julie, who was named after Ruby's sister named Julie. Get it? The consensus so far is that Ellie and Ruby are much like their mother Jennifer.PostyMcPosterston wrote:Omg the whole time I thought you guys meant Julie, Rubys sister... And yes the fact that ruby didn't even know about the stuffed animal!? Thank gosh Julie can lean on abbey, you can tell abbey is protective and in tune with her sisters feelings. Abbey was trying to do the explaining for her and act light and funny to help Julie not feel so anxiety ridden it seemed.
I can't imagine not tucking my daughter in when she's 7 (well the nights I'm not working shifts work evenings )

8 Passengers: Part One
Abbey was so sweet and protective!!!
Ruby has a really nice figure, was not digging the high waisted on her. Chads reaction when she went outside in the jeans was hilarious.
I do like seeing when she acts like a friend with them and not just strict mommy.

Poor Chad, why does he always wear slipper with socks?
Besides the fashion faux pas, why not trainers so he can run, not get his socks dirty?
When he was on the roof he definitely didn't have the proper shoes.
Although, I did enjoy the vlog when they went to the grandparent's house and they climbed in the tree house and Russell said it was the best day.
All in all, I think Ruby was extremely lucky on how well her kids turned up I think it wasn't necessarily because of her parenting.
Her figure could be because they don't seem to have much food...

Sandals and socks were a popular choice in my highschool (8 years ago lol) especially among the athletic students. I don't know why, but it's just a thing. LolVincere wrote:Poor Chad, why does he always wear slipper with socks?

In Europe sandals with socks it's a huge no! Sandals is ok, but why socks? You either let your feet breath or put on proper trainers.
Usually old people wear things like that.
Re: 8 Passengers: Part One
Canadian, but oh yes it's a huge fashion faux pas here too lol just not with my group of friends who were all track and field runners/competitive cheerleaders lol. Maybe because we would wear the sandals in between sprints for track and in between routines in cheer. And then it became normal.Vincere wrote:It must be an American thing.gymchick43 wrote:Sandals and socks were a popular choice in my highschool (8 years ago lol) especially among the athletic students. Re: 8 Passengers: Part One
I get you wore them because they are comfy between sport activities but you didn't really go out in public wearing them.

8 Passengers: Part One
I think she has a nice figure due to genetics. Their entire family is lean. But I do agree that they're used to meager portions.
And the type of socks with sandals was popular amongst athletes in my high school too. Esp basketball kiddos.

My highschool was more about fashion than athletics.

Right? I was thinking the same thing! The editing on that video was so weird... I hate when ruby "interviews" herself by putting the camera like that. It's so weird!gymchick43 wrote:She was sponsored by huggies- BUCKET LIST Y'ALL- lol the way she filmed and edited it.....idk why but it reminded me of one of those independent horror documentary films lmao . Re: 8 Passengers: Part One
Socks and sandals makes me cringe haha. Here in Australia it is like a big joke to do it at costume parties. Our sports team would just throw on some pluggers (flip flops) and off they went. But then again 90% of Australia lives in pluggers

Re: 8 Passengers: Part One
Mismatched socks or Nike socks with UA, Nike or Adidas slides/sandals was a huge thing at my high school 3/4 years ago and then it fell out of style around late 2012 - early 2013 where I live. I always thought it was a dumb trend and never fell into it though thank god.

Re: 8 Passengers: Part One
Lol rubys favourite fairy tale was Cinderella because she could relate to how she worked hard in the beginning, was kind to everyone (aka keep sweet), and rewarded (aka marriage)- Cinderella was a slave to her narc step mother. Makes sense though that she relates to that one. Lol she was raised by a potential narcissistic mother , and seems she repeating the pattern lol

ETA she even said her mom used to call her Cinderella.....I actually grew up relating to Cinderella the most and I grew up with a narc father lol...creepygymchick43 wrote:Lol rubys favourite fairy tale was Cinderella because she could relate to how she worked hard in the beginning, was kind to everyone (aka keep sweet), and rewarded (aka marriage)- Cinderella was a slave to her narc step mother. Whoa. What? She said her mother used to call her Cinderella? If you happen to be able to direct me to the source, it would be much appreciated. I believe you, of course. I just want to see the context in which Ruby made that declaration. This is incredible!gymchick43 wrote:ETA she even said her mom used to call her Cinderella.....I actually grew up relating to Cinderella the most and I grew up with a narc father lol...creepygymchick43 wrote:Lol rubys favourite fairy tale was Cinderella because she could relate to how she worked hard in the beginning, was kind to everyone (aka keep sweet), and rewarded (aka marriage)- Cinderella was a slave to her narc step mother.
