The snacks in the car. Oh my. You have six children and you drive an hour to your parents' house after and you've never had snacks in the car? Maybe I'm being a little harsh on Ruby because I am a huge snacker, but that was crazy to me. Then when she freaked out about the fruit snacks wrapper! What? Isn't that the point of the snacks, to get eaten? I felt bad for Chad getting defensive saying "it wasn't me", he sounded terrified.

Lol rubys favourite fairy tale was Cinderella because she could relate to how she worked hard in the beginning, was kind to everyone (aka keep sweet), and rewarded (aka marriage)- Cinderella was a slave to her narc step mother. Makes sense though that she relates to that one. Lol she was raised by a potential narcissistic mother , and seems she repeating the pattern lol

ETA she even said her mom used to call her Cinderella.....I actually grew up relating to Cinderella the most and I grew up with a narc father lol...creepy

Whoa. What? She said her mother used to call her Cinderella? If you happen to be able to direct me to the source, it would be much appreciated. I believe you, of course. I just want to see the context in which Ruby made that declaration. This is incredible!

As much as Ruby irks me in so many ways, I'd much rather watch her than her sister Julie. Julie and Landon just seem so depressed and unhappy with their lives even though they "pretend" to stay positive. I watch them anyway, of course, but I kinda cringe when I see a new video lol. I dunno... At least Ruby with her craziness is entertaining!

Haha I know what you mean! You feel like you'll miss something important. I'm like almost a week behind on my subscribed to vlogs, so I'm trying to hurry and catch up, because I feel like I'm missing something! Maybe sad, but oh well! We just got rid of cable, so this plus social media (after my husband and kiddos of course) are my only source of entertainment!

Why does Russel look always tired. He has bags that are red under his eyes.

I also find that if the kids do something Ruby don't like she puts the I'm mad at you front on. Sometimes accidents happen.

He has allergies. There was one video and I think the thumbnail is with Russell having very inflamed eyes.

They have done a couple of things that really made me irk.
1. When they got the t-shirts for CVX and Ruby had a bigger logo than the kids and the kids were a bit upset. She said that it would have been expensive to have a big logo for their tshirts (I doubt) and that she was happy with hers.
Really? Is she a kid? If I think of my parents they would sacrifice (a strong word in this case) but they would put small logo and let me with a big logo.

2. When they got a Sheri a new phone and Kevin said (I can't remember exactly) to present reasons why she would need a phone because they are a rational family etc. They are mormons...

This woman baffles me. She only buys the kids a few outfits and then when they wear them out to play and they get dirty or ripped, she's instantly pissed. Kids are bound to get dirty and wear out their clothes so get them clothes that they can actually move around in and play in.

Also, it is not like she spends a lot on the kids' clothes, she buys from thrift stores and as presents she mostly gives them clothes that are her duty as a parent to provide anyway. She is making good money with YT now so she should not complain, and according to Google a BYU professor makes 97k.

Yeah, I don't get the clothes thing either. I remember one time Shari said that by babysitting her siblings, her parents paid her by buying her clothes. Really? Did ruby miss out on the fact that clothing your children is a necessity?

I have Public Television and Netflix, no cable. I'm not afraid I'll miss anything per se, I feel like they know I've failed to watch and then I feel a bit guilty. Oh well, I know they don't really know I can't be bothered so when I do return I play it off like I've been there. Crazy shit, huh? Lol

Ruby was a bit harsh on Julie over the money for penny wars in today's vlog. It must be hard having a mom like Ruby sometimes My boyfriend was sitting beside me while I was watching and he said "Jeeze what the heck is that woman's problem??" lol.

Poor Julie couldn't even look up from her food bowl, she was just hanging her head like she knew she was in trouble. Those poor kids!

Poor Russell trying to ride that too small Strider. Ruby was telling him to lift his legs but there was no space to do so. She was laughing all the time he was struggling thinking it was funny. For me it was painful to watch. She could try and lift the seat.

Poor Julie, I swear Ruby's voice changes when she says or hears about money. I think Julie was about to cry and she did not react when Ruby told her she loves her and then demanded to hear the same. (true love)

I would be thrilled if I had a kid and would donate his own money, it would mean I did something right.

Yea, something is off there. The look on Julie's face made my stomach clinch. I think we are getting a glimpse into what life was like at the Griffith's growing up. Ruby seems like someone to withhold affection as a form of punishment..

You could tell once again Julie had tear in her eyes, abbey was protecting her by speaking up for her and explaining again, and no eye contact, quiet- pure anxiety and fear. She was trying very hard not to cry. God breaks my heart because it's like a flash back to my childhood with my dad. He used to tell me I would cry if the wind changed direction, it's just I wasn't blind to his narc behaviours, feared his horrible discipline and more sensitive to negative moods just as Julie is I am sure.

Ruby even wrote in the comments that Julie only brought $5. Smh. Julie was so excited to tell her mom that she won, and Ruby just shot her down.

Jeez. Julie's face totally fell and Ruby's tone totally changed when asking where she got the money. That made me so sad! It's a good cause and it's from Julie's piggy bank... not like she stole it off someone.

Ruby said it was about $5 in the comments and "no biggie" but she wanted to make sure it wasn't Julie's siblings savings. But she kept badgering Julie even after Julie said it was from her own piggy bank. Ruby seems so controlling.
