I hope that C&K take Finn being there to their advantage. Meaning they should try and do a lot with Finn, carry him, help feed him, things like that, so that it can give MG a small dose of the reality that is about to hit her. I'm worried that she is going to have a really hard time adjusting to Brooks, i'm sure that C&K will deal with it appropriately, but them showing Finn a little more than normal attention would be a great indicator to them as to what they can be working on with MG these last few weeks before he gets here. Plus we all know Missy would LOVE having someone taking care of him for her...

But she's been the special oh-so-wanted baby for so long, that she is not going to know what to do when she's not the center of attention.

Yep!! i agree 100%! At no fault of C&K's of course, i dont think they give her too much attention or anything like that. But she is totally the center of attention for them, and she seems to be a very needy baby. Once again, not snarking on that at all, i had a needy baby too and you really cant control that (to a point). Especially with the playing alone struggles that they have been trying to deal with lately, i think its a precursor to some rough months ahead. I'm sure that C&K will take it ni stride and deal with it the way that they should, but i do feel bad for them and hope its not going to be as bad as i think its going to be. I think Cullen needs to think about spending more one on one time with MG right now as well. (not that he doesn't already) but i think that he needs to get MG prepared to spend more time with him than she does now, bc we know its going to have to happen once Brooks gets here.

I just have to say that physicians and other health care providers are some of the most secretly (and most clever) snarky people I've ever met. I can only imagine the things that get said about Doc's daughter's friends, BM & EJ..

I don't think MG is spoiled at all-- never meant to imply that. I just think it's going to be a rough adjustment for her. I agree that C&K will likely handle it well.

I feel like because B&M and E&J are so highly criticized (for good reason) everyone wants to make it out like they aren't real friends or that Katie doesn't like them and it's all Cullen. But I don't see that. Friends can be different, and you can get exhausted with friends after a full week. But just because Katie makes different choices than Ellie and Missy doesn't mean she's not their friend.


I don't think the families are imposing on C&K, and I don't think Katie secretly hates them. I think they're just friends who are different, but formed a friendship because of youtube and genuinely get excited to get together.


I get that it may be hard to see what they have in common, but we don't have to see that for them to be friends.

That could be the case. My impression is that they're not as close as they would like viewers to believe. I think they have YouTube in common and their kids are the same age, but I think otherwise the women especially would not pursue friendships with each other.

They're in the same business and share viewers, so it's a good cross-promotion. But there's a forced friendliness and general awkwardness amongst the wives. Jared and Ellie were strange when they vlogged themselves giving Katie the baby present, it was a nice gesture but something about it felt like acquaintances rather than good friends. "Thank you for letting us stay here, we're happy for baby Brooks." And Missy didn't even know how far along Katie is in her pregnancy, she thought she was around 20 weeks. I just don't see Katie, Missy or Ellie genuinely enjoying each other's company in any of the vacation vlogs over the last year. The husbands make each other laugh and get excited, the women seem to ham it up for the vlog and are just along for the ride. I don't think it's just a YouTube thing, lots of adults have people they're friendly with but not necessarily close to. Maybe the wives will bond and interact more than they have in previous vacations and I'll change my mind.

Katie and Cullen have to be rolling their eyes every time Bryan puts on a southern accent and starts rambling about sweet tea and southern belles. Haha I'm secretly looking forward to it. I also don't think they play along with the running gag of trying to pair up their toddler daughter with one of the boys.

I think they are all friends because they see each other in the best circumstances. Vacation. Their friendship is convenient because none of them work so there's zero stress about finding a good time for everyone to take off work. Only c&k have friends that aren't vloggers or family. I'm sure their regular friends work all the time and can't go down to the beach whenever. I used to have an odd work schedule and it sucked because I had to take time off to see people on the weekends. I would have loved having a friend or two that could set their own hours.

I don't know when the 3 couples became friends, but I feel like it happened when they were all struggling with their fertility issues and it was the main thing they had in common, but now that those issues seem to be mostly cleared up (or at least not currently happening) the women don't have much to talk about even though they have kids the same age. They each parent so differently, I'm sure Katie isn't going to ask Missy or Ellie advice on how to deal with a new baby in the house with another child who is used to be the center of attention.

I think Cullen and Katie do great with Gaines. She's getting used to playing alone (or at least more alone). She seems to be ok with just having Cullen or Katie watching her play instead of them also having to play with her. I agree it would be good to "use" Finn to see how she reacts to them paying more attention to him than to her.

I agree that the women aren't really that close and that it's the relationship between the men driving things.

My husband has a business partner that he's known since school. He met his wife at the same time as I met my husband. We've known eachother for YEARS now, and are great friends whenever we get together for celebrations and staff parties. The rest of the time though, we don't really talk and hear more about what the other is doing through our husbands. It's not that we aren't friends or even good friends, but the relationship is definitely being sustained by our husbands.

Also, I think everyone has that friend in the group that drives them crazy, but whose made their way in anyway so you just kind of roll your eyes at some of the decisions they make.

I think they are all friends, but definitely not close or best-friends. It's pretty obvious they don't even watch eachother vlogs half the time! Pretty weird for so called best-friends since we know they all watch YT. That's like not following your best-friend on FB!

Well I guess I won't be watching Katie and Cullen until those moochers all go home! The difference in their ages really is obvious when they get together. I agree with everyone that has posted so far regarding the fact that these friendships are driven by the husbands. I bet Katie would have just liked to have gone home and worked on the nursery. The vlogs comments about Ollie and MG being so cute together. Sorry but I see Ollie becoming more and more of a bully and I wouldn't want my kids being anywhere near him. Mark my words after this "vacay" is over we will see less and less of these 6 getting together!!

The Cullen and Katie friendship with Bryan and missy started when missy was pregnant with Ollie. I remember an old vlog where missy says that "Bryan had been texting some guy named Cullen" and then Bryan proceeds to read the text. Cullen had sent him a text that said something like "it's so nice to see another young couple vlogging" or something along those lines. Of course, missy just rolled her eyes. Cullen seems sincere in being their friend. Can't say the same about the other couple
