If Brooks were born right now he would most likely be ok, but he would have to stay in the NICU for several weeks. If they are able to stop the contractions Katie will probably be put on bed rest. Hopefully he will stay put for a few more weeks.
I was surprised they didn't call the doctor the other day when she was having painful contractions that were 4 mins apart. I would have especially since her labor progressed so quickly with Gaines, and she is only 32 weeks.
I just saw that and was coming to post the same thing. I didn't look through all the comments (on IG) but was surprised that what I was seeing were ones praying that he stays put and not "hurry up, I want to meet him". But then all the little teen minions that did that when they had the scare a few weeks ago are probably still asleep and those comments will be there soon enough.
I agree that she should have called the doctor the other day, especially when she said something about they would just make her come in. Yeah, that's kind of the point. It was stressing me out watching, I kept saying "go in! You shouldn't be having painful contractions that close together yet. Call the doctor." I would have thought, especially with their history, she would have been a little more concerned about it.
*Personal, but with a point. My first baby was born at 33w1d. She's a perfectly healthy 4-year-old now, but she spent the first 34 days of her life in the NICU. It was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do and I wouldn't wish that experience in my worst enemy.
Praying they are able to stop the contractions and Brooks baby stays put at least a few more weeks.
