I'm so so glad that everything has slowed down and Brooks is staying put for now. I've been worried all weekend!! According o Katie's twitter it sounds like they might come home today if things stay the same. I hope they put her on bedrest as bad as that sounds, Katie is the kinda woman who isn't going to slow down unless shes forced too (not a bad thing!! You get what i mean). She reminds me of myself in the sense that i feel like i should be able to handle all the things all the time no matter what is going on. I'm so glad she has Cullen and their family to help her out.

I don't think they were any less concerned either. It's just apparent that every interaction on social media is treated like a work task.

It seemed normal to me... IDK.. I pose for pics with my family, make sure lighting is good and sometimes use cheesy poses, ect., its for sure not work for me. I understand what you mean, but it was a semi work related post. when you make your life your job, and have thousands of people worried about your well being, i think its a good move to update people. No shame in looking as good as you can in a pic for that reason.

Wow.. I'm starting to feel like she'll be there until she delivers. I hope they can keep him in there for just a few more weeks.

I'm so worried for them... And I know they're sick of that hospital. Just 2 to 3 days in there and I'm ready to bust out! Hope everything goes ok, but glad they are able to monitor Brooks during the contractions. Scary stuff! She's 33 weeks now, right? Glad this is all happening later in the pregnancy rather than earlier. I'd wager that they do put her on some type of bed rest if they don't keep her there. Stay put, baby Brooks!

A five-minute contraction would be hard for Katie _and_ Brooks! Scary that his heart rate dropped. I know she must be tired of the hospital, but I would be wanting to stay if contractions are making his heart rate drop. Especially with how fast she dilated last time.

I am thinking she will not be released any time soon. Mag is a nasty, nasty drug, I feel horrible for her.

May sulfate can be used for a short period of time to stop/decrease contractions and then also to help prevent seizure activity in those with preeclampsia. Plus it's recently been shown to decrease the risk of cerebral palsy in preterm babies so lots of benefits from it...but it also hits people pretty hard and can cause all sorts of scary side effects. I just finished my OB rotation in nursing school lol so I'm all up to date on the info but I also looked it up and saw that only 10% of women who get mag go on to have the baby within 7 days but the majority stop preterm labor, so hopefully that's the case with Katie!

Poor Katie, fingers crossed that he stays put a few weeks longer but if not from my experience of working with preemies 33 weekers usually do very well, a lot of it is just growing them more with that gestation and NG feeds until they get the hang of feeding. My youngest baby was a 35 weeker, she didn't stay in the NICU and we were home in 5 days.

So it sounds like she is going to try for a VBAC since Brooks is in the proper position. But if that fails, she'll ultimately do a C-section. Correct? Is that what they said in yesterday's vlog?

Anyone who has ever had to have a magnesium drip knows how absolutely HORRIBLE it makes you feel. Katie is such a trooper!! I have mad respect!

Funny, Misery SO badly (literally: badly) wanted the pregnancy 'drama' that poor Katie has had--to the point of trying her hardest to create it.. Cue the slow-mo montage of the expensive trip to the hospital when she urinated on herself while shopping, the faking labor at Disney, etc.
The maturity difference between the two of them is as Bry Bry would say, "for shizz, epic".

I suspect they wouldn't mind more but I also wouldn't be surprised if they stop at two. Considering Katie's history with both miscarriages and issues during pregnancy, combined with the fact that she isn't getting any younger and statistically these issues become more likely the older you are, it would make sense. I'm sure they're thrilled to have both Gaines and Brooks regardless
