Vlogger Comparisons [DBEJCK, Samika, etc.]

So.. Roman Atwood is at Shay's house, and he gained over 35,000 in 24 hours (per Shay). Cue Bryan and Jared fangirling all over Roman..... Gotta pay for those McMansions, and Casey just isn't that into them.

I get those "on this day" things on Facebook about whatever I've posted on that day in past years. Ok so one of yesterday's was that a year ago I posted a screencap of that day's thumbnails for DB's, EJ's, and CK's videos and said how much I loved the 3 families. How the mighty have fallen. Now I can't stand DB or EJ. I still love CK though.

Was just watching the Samika vlog from a few days back called 'What's Your Name' and I find it hard to believe sometimes that Noah is nearly a year younger than Ollie. You can tell Sam and Jenn put a lot more effort into teaching him things than the Bumps do for Ollie, Noah is already starting to talk a lot more and more clearly, and learning colours. Just shows what actually putting some effort into teaching your child can do I guess

For some reason, the video doesn't seem to be working, just the audio is. Anyone know how to fix that?

Now that Brooks baby is here, I think it will be inserting to see how Cullen and Katie adjust to having 2 kids compared to Samika, DB, and EJ. I see them going the way of Samika and paying attention to both children and focusing on both kid's needs.

I completely agree! C&K and Samika are the best parents out of the bunch IMO

So happy for C&K!

I feel so bad for all of these Family Vloggers. As soon as they have a baby, the crazy annoying young viewers start asking for another baby! The comments start coming in at around 3 months postpartum, it's sad.

I love how C&K started posting picks of Brooks right away instead of waiting until the birth vlog. It's so calculating and clickbaity the way vloggers post one evasive photo of just a baby foot or a blurry artsy shot from behind with a caption like "welcome to the world #babymoneybags. Be sure to watch the birth vlog tomorrow!"

I get the thinking behind why vloggers do that, but I don't understand why they actually go through with it. Most people who are subscribed and also follow them on social media are going to watch the birth vlog whether or not they post pictures of the baby before that birth vlog goes live. I normally wait until night when everyone else is asleep before I watch vlogs, but I watched Brooks birth vlog 5 minutes after it went up even though I've seen all the pictures that Cullen, Katie and the grandparents have been posting since yesterday. Who is going to honestly say "Oh I saw the picture that the dad posted, no need to watch the birth vlog now"?

Also how Daily Bumps didn't even mention on social media that Missy had a c-section, just that "it's getting pretty emotional". Weird that after live tweeting everything, including the status of Missy's cervix, he leaves out that rather significant detail. It was just to build anticipation and drama for the birth vlog

I've loved seeing how different Jackson & MG reacted to their new brother, whose parents actually took the time to prepare them for, compared with Ollie, who wasn't prepared in the least! Jackson & MG bonded immediately, while Ollie is still warning up to Finn (tho seems to be doing better lately--finally). All DB seemed to do was tell Ollie he was getting a brother, like a toddler is supposed to just know what that is, & understand the concept of. Tho suppose Jackson is just a much sweeter-natured kid than Ollie (could ever dream of being)! Not sure how much E+J prepared him, especially considering he was so young, yet was immediately so very sweet with Calvin, while Ollie wanted nothing AT ALL to do with Finn. C&K spent 9 months preparing MG, & she, like Jackson, was immediately interested & bonded right away. Amazing what a little explanation & preparation (aka parenting!) can do: For both siblings!!

I agree with all of this!!! I feel like we've only seen a handful of moments with Ollie genuinely interacting with Finn (not being forced by his parents for the vlog) in his 8ish months he's been here! I agree it's getting better but I'm guessing they didn't show a whole lot more of Ollie struggling to adapt to life with a baby brother (because that doesn't fit their perfect image). I'm sure there were a lot more tantrums and stealing of Finns toys. They still don't seem to have much of a bond. Jackson has always been very sweet with Calvin and they play together great and clearly look like they're having a ton of fun. I don't think it's because Calvin is older either because Finn is doing practically all the things Calvin and is a pretty interactive baby. It's still too early to tell but it looks like MG is bonding very well with Brooks.

I wonder if Bryan called Cullen to tell him be missed an opportunity for a 'baby trapped' title, the way he tweeted Shay about how he should have used 'toddler trapped' on one of his videos.

Jared and Ellie only had a little over 100k subs wen Calvin was born. They have blown up since his birth. C&K have worked very hard to gain their subs. It's taken them years to gain the 400k that they have. It will be interesting to see if they begin to gain tons more subs, now that Brooks is here.

I remember that E&J started "changing" around 400k so it'll be interesting to see the comparison between them and C&K. I have a bit more faith in them. Hahaha.

Cullen and Katie aren't typical family vloggers. They had a life, a full life, before they began vlogging when they moved to Florida so Katie could do an internship. They both worked full time and did daily vlogs. Looking back, it was Cullen losing his job due to a corporate restructuring, along with a generous severance package, that afforded Cullen the opportunity to have a go at making a living doing what he loves. Two years later, I'd say he is a huge success and they didn't ride anyone's coattails to get to where they are. Other vloggers are money hungry, even viscious, because they know they could circle the bowl at any time and lose their current standardof living. C&K don't have that worry. They are a true positive force in family vlogging and their videos just keep getting better.

This definitely isn't a bad thing, because I enjoy both of you ladies very much.. However, since this is the comparison thread, am I the only one who finds similarities between HS's love for Bonnie, & WhatSheSaid's love for C&K?

I know the Nulls aren't really discussed on here anymore since their scandal and no one watches them anymore, but I'm asking if some of you could please go and report one of their latest vlogs, He's Really Sick. In the first 30 seconds there's footage of Audri walking around completely naked that Austin left in the video. Britt claims to not watch their vlogs anymore and since the scandal Austin's creepy behavior with Audri and the exposing of her underwear and body has gotten out of hand. Austin is appealing to the perverts out there and I'm convinced he's a pervert himself. Please report the video and protect this little girl whose mother has decided to check out and remain oblivious to the antics of her disgusting husband. I'm truly worried for those kids while Brittany is away from home this week.
