Exactly! Even if she has a girl, there's no guarantee that she'll have her fantasy best friend relationship. Her daughter could be a tomboy daddy's girl and have no idea why Mom resents her so much for not being a girlie girl. And an inability to let go of the fantasy smacks of immaturity.

Exactly. She needs to accept that kids will have their own personalities etc. and you should be supporting them to be themselves, not trying to force them to fit your fantasy (Ellie could also pay attention to that!!) Personally I am more terrified of the idea of ever having a girly girl - I was never into that stuff growing up so I'd have no idea what to do!!

Based on Missy's demeanour alone after the ultrasound in her video today, I'm guessing they're having a boy. I could be wrong. But by "it's the craziest thing" I got the impression she meant it was crazy that they're going to have yet another boy in the mix and that they're both mothers of boys. She seemed genuinely excited. If it is a girl, I think it's safe to say Missy doesn't look upset or jealous. But if Missy is as petulant and immature as we all know she can be (haha) I think her excitement points to boy. I could be way off base, that was just my gut reaction.

Missy doing the gender reveal party makes sense as a cross-promotion. I'm sure Kelsey and Corbin's numbers spike every time they're in a Daily Bumps vlog. Plus Bryan and Missy know a thing or two about over the top parties that get lots of clicks. I personally would feel weird about my friend knowing the gender before my husband and I did.

I'm assuming Missy took Kelsey to her fancy boutique ultrasound place. I wouldnt be surprised if the Lannings picked up the bill.

Am I weird, or is it strange that Corbin always calls Kelsey "my love"? It sounds so stilted. I know I'm nitpicking.

I'm leaning toward boy as well. I also feel like Missy masterminded this whole thing and didn't really give Kelsey and Corbin a choice in it. She probably framed it like she and Bryan would pay for the ultrasound only if Kelsey and Corbin let her do a gender reveal exactly the way she wanted it and be the first to find out the gender.

I think girl. I think even Missy knows it would be poor taste to appear disappointed after finding out what her friends are having. To be honest I think her reaction was a bit for show, since all the attention was on her and everyone was studying her reaction for a hint. But I imagine Missy has fantasizes being told "it's a girl" in an ultrasound room like that, and I could see her reacting exactly like that if her own baby was a girl.

In their own vlog today, they shared that the technician said it was "very obvious" and she was able to tell right away or something along those lines. It sounds like someone who saw the male genitalia easily and knew it was a boy, as opposed to looking for the absence of something to conclude it was a girl. They said that this comment lead them to think boy. Has anyone ever had a girl and heard the tech say that it was obvious and she could tell right away? I'm not an expert. That's part of why I think it's silly for them not to find out until this party- they're already picking up on clues based on comments from Missy and the tech, so they have an inkling and are just waiting for confirmation. i think if it is a boy, it won't be much of a surprise at this point, because they both already think boy.

Sometimes these two do things I don't understand...like trying to order ten drinks and twenty slices of pumpkin bread through the drive-thru. I know that might not seem like a big idea, but as someone who used to work at Starbucks, it's common courtesy to not take up that much time in the drive-thru and to order inside. People behind them must have been waiting fifteen minutes. Also, making cotton candy two days before you serve it. Maybe they're putting it in a plastic bag. I don't know. They just seem clueless about a lot of things.

My daughter gave the tech a really obvious crotch shot in her ultrasound. I wanted to wait to find out what I was having, so the doctor showed me after I had her. She had her butt towards the transducer, and it was definitely a girl's bottom. But usually when the tech says something like that it's because it's a boy.

Yes, they did ordered that much. They are inconsiderate and lazy.
I found out that it is their tendencies after watching their videos. In the past, they sneaked their dog into a restaurant, flew drone at Lake Powell, badmouthing National Park Service because dogs are not allowed on trails, etc.....

Looks like they did this package, they also bought the DVD and did 2D shots too. Wonder how much it came out too in total and who payed.

Am I the only one who thinks that under the chin "beard" looks awful on Corbin? I know it's not nice to rag on people for the way they look, but that's a choice he's making, to have that weird beard.

yep. i can't decide whether he looks like he's a cast member on breaking amish or if his beard just looks he's shaved all of his pubes off and glued them to his face.

Yes. 3 pregnancies and 3 girls, and the techs always said I can see it right away. What they see are the 3 lines forming the labia and the clitoris. This current pregnancy I was 15 weeks and the tech was so sure it made me think it must be a boy to be confident at that gestation, but sure enough, we have our three lines, and hopefully a living little girl to take home (we lost our second at 23 weeks due to a fatal heart defect.)

Yes! I've never met anyone who is not Amish and yet insists on grooming their facial hair like that and wearing suspenders over a t-shirt. Just, why? They're on video almost every day, you'd think he'd have more self-awareness. He must think it's a good look.
