This is probably the most minor, nitpicky complaint they will ever receive, but does their opening music just...grate on anyone else's nerves? It's almost as bombastic as Sam himself.
Maybe this is rude. Maybe u don't understand because I don't have children of my own, but I really think Nia overreacted at the zoo. Yeah it is scary when your kid gets hurt, but you can't scream at the top of your lungs. You have to be calm and assess the situation. Make sure your kid is okay. Then break down.
I've had a lot of accidents in my lifetime. Once I ended up in the ER, and I always ask my mom how she handled it. She plainly said that she wanted to cry and freak out, but she knew I was in pain. She said as soon as the doctor took me she burst into tears, but she knew I was okay at that point.
If I was at that zoo, and I heard her screaming, I probably would have run to see if they were okay. I would have run over to find a crying baby and screaming mother, but ultimately a baby with no physical injury. I just don't get the reaction.
Honestly I don't think she over reacted.
Especially because it could have easily been her eye if she turned her face.
When things happen so fast like thst you panic before you are able to assess the situation.
In the clip after you can see how swollen and red Juliet's ear was.
I would be pretty upset if it was one of my boys.
I do agree the ostrichesshouldn't be able to get their heads that close to the people walking by. But they are wild animals... you can't predict what an animal is going to do
I just watched it and I think it was warrented, I'm sure she just panicked in the spur of moment trying to figure out if everything was alright.
I think they should have been paying more attention to anything but the camera. Sam mentioned that they needed to put up signs but I highly doubt a place like that doesn't have signs. Emus are not cuddly, friendly animals and if the owner is including them in a petting zoo without warning signs he's stupid and neglectful. It's stupidity all around, not paying attention and holding your baby next to an emu, and not putting up a fence tall enough to contain your emus.

Yeah I got to agree, I totally understand her reaction but they should have been more careful. That's not really even a dig, because it's a mistake that could easily happen to any parent, I'm not even sure I'd call it a mistake. As someone who got bit by a cow I think it's safe to say all animals can bite while most in the petting zoo probably wouldn't, Emu's tend to be a little more hostile, or at least can be compared to sheep for instance. I think blaming the owner is just Sam's way of making an excuse, even Nia was like "I should have not got so close."
It's _really_ stupid to hold a baby next to an emu. Dumb of the owner to include them in a petting zoo too, but the internet is full of videos of people getting picked by them. Anyone who has ever watched America's Funniest Videos has seen it. They should have known better, but then again, this is Sam and Nia.
So a lot of people are commenting on how bad the emu was.... I mean really?? I saw one say it should be put down, another said they should sue. I know many of their followers are young but my goodness. I hope they comment on it later that it's just an animal, acting like an animal, so some of their viewers can calm down.
I'm glad the baby didn't get hurt, because she could have lost an eye or had an ear ripped off. In those cases I'd sue in a heartbeat, but Juliet was relatively unscathed so I think it's just one of those things that happens and you move on.
Hopefully the owner will be a bit more proactive about visitor safety, and hopefully Sam and Nia will be a little more careful. It'll be a fun family story when she's older.
Most people know (at least I thought they did) that you shouldn't hold a 5 month old baby so close to an enclosure where a long-necked massive bird is up against the fence. Juliet didn't need/want to see that emu. She should have remained in her stroller. Yes, luckily she didn't get pecked in the eye. One could hope it would be a wake up call to these parents to be more careful and pay attention. They aren't big on child safety, that is for sure. How about showing the "attack" 3 times in slow motion in the vlog? Drama Drama Drama.
Okay so that was actually pretty scary and I'm glad their baby is okay.....but can we focus on the most important part of that vlog...Nia put down the camera!!! If it was Sam...the camera would be there while he consoled Juliet and he would be staring at the camera the whole time!!
I do have to give them props for not going to Build A Bear and getting Abaraham another toy....in fact they are teaching him to and Symphony to share....I know there are other family vloggers and that is what they would have done for sure!
So yeah...let's talk about the end of the vlog...Sam brought up a story from their first date and he got mad...NO WAY...I would never think that could ever happen!! He thought Nia was staring at some boys and let go of her hand?? What about Nia found out you were on Ashley Madison...did she let go of you?? Hmmmm...something to think about!!
This family is so far from "family vlogging" it is ridiculous. Everyday has to be something "epic" with some awesome title/thumbnail combo that will get them tons of clicks. I miss the days when Sam was at work and we would just follow Nia around to Hobby Lobby and the post office. This ridiculousness is so obnoxious they seem like the craziest family on YouTube.
I love how Sam takes the time to film everything...and can't even spend some time on his kids!!
Bo and Shel must get so irritated with them since they always tag along everywhere they go hahaha
Abarahm had this scared expression when Sam was going insane with the chainsaw on the pumpkin....poor kid....why would he let his kids watch him do that? What if he accidentally got hurt....his son would have witnessed that horrific moment!!
Sam was saying to cover up Juliet when she was lying on the change table....Symphony was shown wearing a night dress for the vlog...I'm sure they read everyone's comments about their parenting skills and not letting their kids having any privacy....but we all know Sam is a sick pervert and will film anything for views!!

You'd try to sue an emu for it's natural animal behaviour?
This kind of explains to me why Americans are so litigation happy. It would be unheard of here.
Don't bring a child too close to an animal, and it wouldn't have happened. It's not a hard concept.
If my hypothetical child suffered long term physical damage I'd try to get as much money as possible to cover medical bills and improve quality of life, yeah. It was stupid to hold the baby up near the emu, but it was equally stupid to keep an emu in a petting zoo with a low fence that it or someone else can easily reach over. Why keep a dangerous animal in reach of anyone? Especially at a place where you're encouraged to touch and interact with the animals.
Bottom line they should have been paying more attention, but the owner should have never allowed a way for it to happen. If you're going to own an animal you need to contain it properly.

I agree! They both seem crazed and hyper, especially lately.
There are starving families in America...but let's go buy some eggs and waste the entire carton on this stupid game that is only going to make a mess and not teach our kids any good valuable lesson. I love how Symphony started crying towards the end (shocking) and Sam just threw the left over eggs on the ground?? Who is going to clean up that disgusting mess on the trampoline? Don't they live in Texas where it's always hot....I can only imagine what those eggs will smell like the next day!!
Nia did her clever over-acting....talking about how much her kids love each other....which Symphony did a great job of showcasing towards the end where she was practically beating her brother's back like crazy!!
Sam claimed he got some "alone/me time"....yeah Sam you get that all the time so don't even start with that!! #Loser
What wasteful, wasteful people. Their children seem to eat eggs every morning, so wasting almost an entire carton is just unbelievable to me. The stench is going to be unbelievable and the trampoline will probably be sticky too, considering Sam never takes five minutes to clean up anything properly.
