Re: DailyCambodiaLiving (Part 74)
I thought the music video had too much going on with the three simultaneous storylines. They should have just had Bryan and Missy playing their own teenage selves as the actors looked nothing like them and didn't even look much younger, lol.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the story that he had a fight, barricaded himself i the room and ran away?Cgl33 wrote:Agreed that the music video did not go with the music. But he's done a music video about them as teenagers before. I get it, teenage romance is wonderful and you have wonderful memories. I agree with whoever said that it doesn't matter if Bryan'/ stepdad died. He was still a monster to him.
My best friend had a very "vanilla" upbringing to say the least, and i remember her having more than one argument where she would block the door to her room with her dresser to keep her mother out. She would have moved out in a heartbeat if she had a boyfriend encouraging her to do so. That wouldn't make her mother an abuser.
Sorry to disagree with everyone but Bryan lies and I don't think we know enough about his stepdad to call him a monster. Bryan's gran was still alive at the time, wouldn't she have taken B in if it wasn't all about being with the Hollisters? Doesn't make sense to me.
Plus it's been my experience that most people who love to talk about their abuse (mistreatment, misfortune, etc) at great length, are quite often embellishing for attention. Most abuse victims do their best to move on from it, not dwell on it and bring it up all the time.
Re: DailyCambodiaLiving (Part 74)
He hasn't addressed whether that's the same person has he? Also, we haven't seen any interaction with his family since then. Not even face timing with his mom or sister. I wonder how supportive they are.spotsanddots wrote:Exactly. Bryan had a supposed shit time growing up because of this man. However, the man is only recently deceased and he's someone Bryans mom loved, he was also a dad, son etc. Imagine how the people left behind will feel knowing he is being portrayed in that manner to be thousands of people. Didn't he come out to LA to support Bryan when he released his EP? What if he had changed his life around since Bryan was a teenager? I think it's disrespectful.thenightowl wrote:I agree with you.monkey837 wrote:I found it disrespectful to his mom that he made a video portraying her recently deceased husband like that. Sure he might have been a horrible awful person, but he legit just died.

Also, parts of his stupid video with the kids looked like a rip off of the Lindsey Stirling video for "Something Wild" which was actually amazing.

Re: DailyCambodiaLiving (Part 74)
The video wasnt bad- definitely too much kid footage (and why was little missy blonde?) But I actually enjoyed and felt emotion at the video. However it doesn't go with the song at all. The song still sucks haha.
While watching it I was uncomfortable for his mom. And this is coming from someone who dealt with childhood abuse for many years. I hope he got her blessing prior to doing this so shortly after her husband died.

Re: DailyCambodiaLiving (Part 74)
Bryan never mentions his family/mom and sister. Why would he? They look like trailer trash and his life is amazing now compared to then. He doesn't want any part of the life he ever had with them. Why would he consider his mom's feelings? He only thinks about himself anyways.
I'm sure they are nice enough people, but he's a star now, they are so below him. *sarcasm*

Re: DailyCambodiaLiving (Part 74)
Missy was being a brat the whole time - they really spoil her way too much...now we know what Ollie is going to be like when he gets older...except he will say "I makin chokat cakeden.....yeahhhhh"
Did you see Ollie take a huge spoonful of frosting? I'm sure every 3 year old does that right?? Its so rude that Bryan just starting to eat the cake and they didn't cut it up and serve their family....like give a piece to the grandparents that trek all the way to their house on a daily basis to watch their kids for them!!
Missy is just a giant child....for someone who's 27 and has 2 kids she seriously does not have her priorities set straight or her responsibilities.....thank god for Mimi and Papa!

Damn, Missy! Bryan spent a small fortune on creating this ego-stroke of a video! Can't you even pretend to look like you love the guy, instead of looking like you just smelled a skunk?

Re: DailyCambodiaLiving (Part 74)
I defend these two about as much as anyone here, but I think Missy was jokingly acting like a brat. Like the candle thing, it definitely seemed like she was trying to be funny. Also, spoiled brats don't react so nicely to presents, especially sentimental ones like the pole. And I do think she was thankful for the piano, it's just that she's awkward about gifts (I think the pole was an immediate reaction she couldn't control). I'm the same way, I'm not the jumping up and down, screaming with joy type, even if I'm doing it on the inside.
The cake thing was so weird, though. I honestly would understand if she made a cake from scratch that was a special recipe that she didn't trust anyone to do right, but it was a Betty Crocker boxed mix. Why does she have to make it?????

Re: DailyCambodiaLiving (Part 74)
Also, as someone already mentioned, Missy blew out her own candles because she's a 27-year-old who knows how to blow. Finn is a one-year-old who doesn't.
Re: DailyCambodiaLiving (Part 74)
I completely forgot about him barricading himself in. Not dramatic enough? He had to add a baseball bat?HelloSweetie wrote:Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the story that he had a fight, barricaded himself i the room and ran away?Cgl33 wrote:Agreed that the music video did not go with the music. Re: DailyCambodiaLiving (Part 74)
I go back and forth over Bryan and the allegations of abuse. His stepfather could have gotten drunk on multiple occasions and been violent. Or Bryan was a teenager who didn't like to be told what to do. Both are believable tbh.
Did Bryan then live with the Hollisters? Did they really go from Missy is not allowed to wear pants to her teenage boyfriend could move in?

And I don't want to think about them being "wild and dirty".thenightowl wrote:I can get where they were going with it but I didn't get why they showed the kids so much (like others have said)

As long as we're nitpicking, the thing that makes me twitch about Like a Lion is that he keeps saying "fearless like a ly-in" not "lion". Ly-in. God, he needs lessons!

Are we going to start assuming she has a drinking problem now too? Lol
Re: DailyCambodiaLiving (Part 74)
I agree about the piano. I think if she didn't like it, she wouldn't have been just sitting at it the way she was later in the vlog, with Finn in her lap, & again when she closed the vlog. I think her initial "we don't have room for that" was explained later when she talked about how she originally wanted a Baby Grand in their dining room, but realized it would be too cluttered with one. That's why Bryan was quick to point out it wasn't a baby grand when she said they didn't have room (he could have shut up at that point, instead of rambling on like an expert salesman!). It was also obvious she knows how to play to some extent. I can't even get fiddlesticks right, she played that chord like a pro (& like you, I love picking these two apart as well, but sometimes ya gotta give credit where it's due ).tintin15 wrote:I defend these two about as much as anyone here, but I think Missy was jokingly acting like a brat. As for the cake, meh... she has everyone else do everything else for her, the least she can do is make herself a birthday cake! Lol

Re: DailyCambodiaLiving (Part 74)
Is it just me or did Bryan delete a bunch of videos from his personal channel? I remember a couple of unboxing and challenge videos that are gone now, the ones about what he got for Christmas are gone. It's mostly just music videos now but not entirely, I wonder why he deleted them?

Re: DailyCambodiaLiving (Part 74)
Please don't assume everyone is the same. I was in a very abusive relationship where I was almost murdered and luckily got away. Every day I have to live with the memories and certain things trigger memories. As much as I would love to move on and not dwell on it doesn't make it not true.HelloSweetie wrote:Cgl33 wrote:

For some reason the part of the music video with the kids made me think of Where the Wild Things Are.
