Re: Steps to Wander
If they travel in a third-world country, they may be correct. But in the US and Canada, there are grocery stores, gas stations and 7-Eleven everywhere. They were eating lobster rolls in Portland, Maine. Hunting for food my butt. I travel with my trailer and boondock all the time and never ran out of food.

Oh yes, the PO box is totally an attempt to get free baby stuff. I wonder if they'll share their registry with viewers too. I'm in the "get a job already" camp when it comes to these two myself. I'm not so sure their YouTube channel is viable without the Lannings making cameo appearances. They just remind me of those in my generation who expect everything to be handed to them on a silver platter and don't want to work for a living. I strongly got that vibe from Corbin's video about quitting his job. YouTube plays perfectly into that narcissistic mindset.

Re: Steps to Wander
I said this on another thread, but I think it takes a special breed of narcissist to do daily vlogging. And for some, an unfulfilled yearning for the spotlight. Assuming people are going to be interested in watching you go about your day: "good morning, guys! We're at the grocery store!". I don't believe people want to watch me get gas for my car. I don't understand the mindset that does. And trying to make drama out of little things: thunderstorms, going to the pharmacy late at night to get meds you should have gotten earlier in the day (SlyFox), etc.HashtagBlessed wrote:Oh yes, the PO box is totally an attempt to get free baby stuff. Re: Steps to Wander
Anyone else think it's strange that they have mentioned looking for a house, car, and birthing center, but they have said nothing about looking for work? I don't know how much YouTube pays, but they are not a big enough channel to not have at least one person working.

Re: Steps to Wander
Isn't Corbin still working parttime for some place? That was why they were seperate for part of the trip when she was in ID with her fam and he was in Portland?
True, a part time job and potential YouTube income is not the wisest plan when you have a baby on the way.

Re: Steps to Wander
These two are acting like they are 19 and pregnant. They are playing house in his aunt and uncles house. They are borrowing a car from family. They are two grown adults with college degrees. Why aren't they getting real employment and getting their life in order before this baby comes. They are acting like children. It's nice that the family is helping, but they should be getting themselves established.

Re: Steps to Wander
I assume Paris must have separation anxiety when he's left alone, but it's still strange that Kelsey and Corbin sneak him everywhere with them, to places he obviously is not allowed. They took him grocery shopping and to the pumpkin patch. If he really can't handle being alone, just one of them should go at a time rather than toting him along. Plus once the baby is born there's no way they will be able to juggle taking a baby and Paris everywhere.

Re: Steps to Wander
paris needs to be crate trained. What are they going to do when shes in labor? Sneak him in to L&D? Is he tagging along to all the prenatal appts? Gonna sneak him into the pediatrician's? Our dog is my 3rd child, I'll fully admit to that, but she is also A DOG. Who stays home and is only brought to places that it is acceptable. I get that some dogs have some wicked separation anxiety, but those things can be handled with training and worst case, medication when all else fails. I really like K&C overall but some of the things they do (and dont do) are really starting to get on my nerves. I was hoping they would prove me wrong about the housing situation but it doesn't look like it. I understand Kelsey not actively looking for a job right now, but it would be my number one priority to find a permanent home (at least permanent for now, and that is THEIRS, weather rented or bought) for my growing family at this point. If that means Corbin gives up this dream of being a YT star like Bryan then thats what he needs to do. If they didn't have super supportive parents/family they would be SOL right now.

Re: Steps to Wander
Sometimes it reaches a point where supportive family is just enabling irresponsible behavior. His parents are coddling him big time. Driving from Idaho to the Oregon cost to loan him their car? You know the parents weren't pleased with their inability to plan ahead. Like others have said, he's an almost 27-year-old man with a wife and child on the way living in someone else's house and driving someone else's car. I wouldn't be surprised if his parents have the means to co-sign a mortgage with him and put very little down on something like a two bedroom condo near Portland, but they would need the job stability to know they could make the payments every month. I don't know how mortgage lenders feel about YouTube as a source of income, but I wouldn't be surprised if that's what happens over the next year.

Re: Steps to Wander
So on today's video they went to Ripley's Believe It Or Not, but when they were traveling around the country they skipped over museums because it was too expensive. This was at really cool places too like Salem, MA. Really poorly planned on their behalf and yet again immature.

Re: Steps to Wander
Well, they don't have to pay for as much gas or campground/park fees anymore, and they need to come up with exciting content for their videos, so I guess that's why they decided to go to Ripley's.Nothankyou wrote:So on today's video they went to Ripley's Believe It Or Not, but when they were traveling around the country they skipped over museums because it was too expensive. I think they make over $1000 a month just on Patreon alone. Considering they aren't paying for housing or car bills, they could probably survive quite nicely on that amount, especially if Corbin's working a few hours a week.
I have to admit their lifestyle seems pretty great right now, just being able to relax and kick back (seemingly).

Re: Steps to Wander
Their Patreon page shows there are now only 8 patrons paying them a total of $77 a month. I guess some people stopped supporting them since they are done with their Van Life.

Re: Steps to Wander
They announced at the end of the vlog today that they were closing the Patreon page. I was wondering what they were going to do with that page now that they aren't on the road anymore. Props to them for closing it and being appreciative to their supporters.melonyogloo wrote:Their Patreon page shows there are now only 8 patrons paying them a total of $77 a month. Re: Steps to Wander
It's safe to say they're staying in the beach condo through the delivery if Kelsey's midwives are in the Gleneden Beach area. These two are so strange and live in their own little world.

Re: Steps to Wander
So with Jared's brother and these two, and Jeff and Tal, Bryan is going to be making lots of "squad goals" posts. The one good thing is that with so many people, the "Friends" references will hopefully decrease.larissaledingham wrote:Guess who else is going to vloggerfair

Re: Steps to Wander
I'm embarrassed to admit it will be interesting to see how all these personalities mesh together. The dynamic for Bryan/Missy and Ellie/Jared is definitely changing now that they have family and old friends hoping on the vlogging bandwagon. The circle is expanding so much I can't see the original six maintaining their clique. I thought Cullen and Katie seemed like more fun when they roomed and hung out with different vloggers that they had more in common with, and they're the only couple who hasn't had people they know in real life start their own channels. I do think it takes a special kind of personality to make daily videos interesting. I think Bonnie is very personable and just a natural, whereas Kelsey and Corbin don't seem to have the personality to see a lot of channel growth without the Lannings.

Re: Steps to Wander
If it's embarrassing, than I am embarrassed with you. I am interested to see how the personalities are going to mingle and what happens with the original clique of "CKEJDB". Cullen and Katie are older and it's always been odd to me to see them hanging out with these younger couples who never really had a real career outside of YouTube. Not that they're old, by any stretch of the imagination, but they are better educated, and had real careers, not just jobs.
I would be interested to see Katie and Bonnie together.
But this is probably straying off topic.
