Cullen and Katie: Blame the Mailman Part 7

Seems like Cullen didn't plan very well for this trip. First a sketchy air bnb and now a super small hotel room. Poor Katie lol

They seemed pretty annoyed in this video. That hotel room looks average size to me for a hotel in a large-ish city. They also should have taken a different airline than Southwest so they didn't have to have a layover, making their travel time more than twice as long as it had to be.

They're probably staying in the hotel where Vlogger Fair is being held. It did look like a normal size hotel room to me. But I imagine it would feel small. Bet Bryan and his Entourage have suites. Of course it wasn't easy to find another room-- there's a big vlogger convention in town, and it's a holiday weekend!

Any guesses why they didn't travel with the others to Seattle? I was thinking either a) Bryan and Co. were dolling out big bucks and C&K are saving b) They planned it so they could meet Grandberry at the airport, although I'm sure if they had really wanted to stay with the group something could have been worked out or C) they simply didn't want to travel with them.

I think Bryan and Missy have the same bedroom and it does look like a regular sized hotel room (if you don't have kids). If they wanted something bigger they should have gotten a junior suite. I think it was poor planning on Cullen's side, and there are still nice and affordable airbnb places available around where the convention takes place.

It says a lot (and it's good) that I have not come to this forum in almost 2 weeks, but I only had 5 pages to catch up on.

Because of other things going on, I haven't been watching the vlogs. I'm about 7 days behind and with the convention going on (or more the company they are with), I'm not too excited to get caught up.

So because I haven't been watching, when DB & EJ (and their kids) starting popping up on my IG feed the other day I couldn't figure out what happened at first, then realized they were in pictures on C&K's feed because of the convention. I immediately unfollowed them because my disgust level has already peaked for the week (1 guess why!) and I can't handle it. I hope that C&K genuinely do like hanging around those couples (I'll never understand why, but whatever) because they sure don't get enough new subs to make it worthwhile.

I will refollow them when I know it's safe. lol

Just looking through the comments of their vlog and someone asked how they got stuck with a room like that and they replied saying it was the room the vloggerfair folks booked for them (booked but not paid for they made sure to say). They had requested adjoining rooms and/or another room but they don't have adjoining rooms at that hotel which is a bit ridiculous

Ugh, poor Brooks. Ellie who is sick all the time, and Jackson who is coughing and is so sick he has a chapped nose, are all in his face, repeatedly touching his pacifier, etc. Why don't they think, and say Sorry, we'd love to hold Brooks but we're sick. Or at least not touch his face and things that go in his mouth.

Cullen and Katie come off as spoiled. Waah, our airbnb was subpar. Well then, read the reviews, plan ahead better. Waah, our hotel room that vloggerfair arranged is too small, we're too famous for this. It reminds me of when they lost a couple night's sleep when Brooks was brand new, or MG was vomiting, or something. And they acted like they were so tired it was the end of the world.

It is a small room for a family of four and being in the cities I bet it isn't cheap. Today you can see pictures of the room and description online so I bet they'll look at this next time. To me, they just seem tired traveling all day and getting this really crummy room. If they had two adjoining rooms this might have helped. I am with Katie looking at cramped sleeping arrangements and they'll have to make due with no rooms available elsewhere.

To be fair, the reviews on their airbnb were all great so that wouldn't have told them anything. The place used to be an office which is why the kitchen was weird, it had a conference table vice normal dining table, etc. But the photos were all exactly how it looks so they should not have been surprised by anything except the outside. If you want to look it up, look for rentals of eight pax in the SLC area at eighty dollars a night.

Sorry for the double post but just looked up the hotel in Seattle too, and whoever suggested it from the conference side must be nuts. It's a hipster hotel that seems to pride itself on its small rooms/European feel. It is not family friendly. It's not even particularly close to the two venues for the actual events. They have a king suite but I'm sure not many so they were probably taken by others.

Since Cullen said they were booked for them, I wonder how much say they had in it? Could they have stayed somewhere else? It's apparent from photos online just how small the rooms are.

I would have been pissed too. Traveling all day with kids to show up at a teeny hotel room with nowhere to put your kids to sleep. How absolutely inconvenient.

I'm guessing the hotel gave everyone a group rate and that's why Vloggerfair booked it. Or they paid for the hotel room in exchange for their appearance.

I'm a control freak when I travel. There's no way I would let someone else book a hotel room for me, especially if I'm travelling with my kids. Given the disposable income we assume these vloggers have, I'm surprised they didn't book their own place.

I felt just awful for her. It looked as though she could cry. That room was ridiculously small. It reminded me of a Survivor confessional when she was describing the accomodations and the day traveling.

In Cullen's pic on twitter, I got the impression that Gaines has taken a liking to Peyton and has found someone to play with in Seattle. That sorta makes me glad the Johnson's came, whilst Ollie and Jackson are there, I think from previous vlogs they can overwhelm Gaines, so its nice she has a friend
