Kelsey can't qualify on her own because they are married. They might still qualify as a married couple if their income is really low. I am curious if they are reporting all their income, like the Patreon income.HashtagBlessed wrote: I'm pretty sure Kelsey is on the Oregon Medicaid program for her health insurance, so I'm assuming if they qualify for that they qualify for whatever the nutritional assistance program for pregnant women is in their state.

Re: Steps to Wander
Correct, all household income would have to be considered in the application, including her husband's income. But I'm pretty sure neither of them have a steady income, so I think she would qualify.ewokfan11 wrote:Kelsey can't qualify on her own because they are married. Re: Steps to Wander
Me too. Also $290 for 5 people is $58 each. That's nuts. My parents are in Portland and going out with four family members for Thanksgiving (McMenamin's Kennedy School - very hipster for their age, LOL) and it's only about $32/person for full service and NO cooking, cleaning or work!Dailybuzz24 wrote:I wonder who their guests will be?

Cassie snapchatted earlier some cabin thing and about sharing a room with 3 other family members. Might be unrelated but thought I'd add it anywayDailybuzz24 wrote:I wonder if it's the DB's or some YouTuber. I think the Lumps are going to Idylwild again. But I could be wrong. They said they were responsible for whipped cream.

I have never heard of that name before in my life. Reminds me of Jupiter!

Re: Steps to Wander
HOLY SHIT! I was going to joke it was that name because it's literally the #100 most popular girls' name in Oregon!!!!
Also, I would HATE it if that were my name. Horrible, horrible name!!! I knew they would pick something awful!!!
Rose, River, Sage or Meadow would have been better. Poor kid is going to be "that kid" with the weird name forever. Junipers aren't even pretty. They are ugly bushes.

I really like the name.
The video was creative, but the pacing was so slow. So it seemed very dragged out.

Re: Steps to Wander
It's really that popular?! I really don't like it & there aren't many names I actively dislike. With that said, I do love the middle name they chose. I know it's not considered trendy or unique but I'm glad that she will have a more "normal" name to go by if she chooses to, when she's older (of course she might grow up to love her first name)! I just had to come on here to see what everyone else thought about itewokfan11 wrote:HOLY SHIT! Re: Steps to Wander
Well, it's #100 specifically for Oregon. I'm from Oregon and have NEVER met anyone by that name. I guess she can go by June for short, but that's sort of an old lady name.lilwhiteindian wrote:It's really that popular?!

Re: Steps to Wander
Juniper is on my guilty pleasures list, so no snark here. I'm sure it seems totally OTT to people who aren't interested in names, but if you are, I'm sure you see the appeal of it.
Re: Steps to Wander
I actually think it is a fine name - I've heard plenty of worse ones! She can always shorten it or go by her middle name which is a perfectly normal one if she doesn't like it. Also while the reveal was slow paced I did think it was sweet and they obviously put effort into them. I don't really enjoy their daily vlogs but I think they do the reveal vlogs well

Re: Steps to Wander
I really liked the name reveal. I thought it was well thought out, executed and perfect for their hippy, hipster, trendy selves.
Hate the name, but i have a made up name so I cant really pass judgement.

Re: Steps to Wander
I think as far as trendy, "unique" names go (we knew it was going to be both) it's a pretty good choice, could definitely have been worse. It's kind of hard to imagine the name on an adult, but she'll be an adult with Kadens and Nevaehs so I don't think it will be too bad. (No offense meant if you or your kids have the names mentioned)

Re: Steps to Wander
Not a huge fan, but I'm glad it is a name that can easily be shortened to a nickname if she chooses later in life.
Personal: My son has a super unique name, it's from the Bible, but hasn't been in the top 1000 names ever, and has no way to be shortened and Now in hindsight I sometimes worry that he'll hate me when he's older, even though we love the name.
I agree that the video was slow. I skipped ahead to the end and even though I don't love the name I was so relieved when they switched the letters and it was Juniper and not Jupiner.
