Ok these dumbed down vlogs and titles the last few days, seem to be desperately trying for the child viewers that the daily bumps have is killing me. I seriously thought when I saw the thumbnail I was in my son's YouTube kids app.

New drinking game: watch vlog and drink every time Cullen says "old school".
I want to send all the vloggers a thesaurus for Christmas.
And the title had so little to do with the vlog. They spent a few minutes in Katie's old playroom, and the rest was decorating Grand-dolly's house for Christmas.

Lol, I just caught your additional post regarding addressing doctors. Jared does have a college degree but was denied entry to ten Physical Therapy schools. He really should look into getting into graduate school. My son is an accountant and works full time. He is going to graduate school for a Masters in Business Administration and will be taking his CPA exam as soon as he qualifies. Jared comes across as lazy as well as obnoxious to me.

Do you see Cullen equal or better than Jared? I agree with the obnoxious part with Jared, but he must be doing something right to see continued growth in his channel. Cullen work hard to improve his channel so I am not thinking it is luck that one channel does better than another or you live in Utah which seems to be a plus for some reason.

Well, honestly, I like Cullen and I don't care for Jared for a number of reasons, so I don't think they are "equal". But I don't know if that makes Cullen "better". I do know that Cullen has worked in a professional setting so I suspect his earning potential was far different than Jared's prior to youtube. Also, while far from perfect, I don't see the rehearsed and staged fake stuff on Cullen's channel that I do on Jared's. Cullen doesn't preach or act in an over the top romantic way with his partner, yet I can see that C&K truly love each other. When Cullen pulls practical jokes, he can carry them off because that is who he is/was. It just falls flat for me when Jared tries because it doesn't feel genuine. Cullen has soft skills, he can get along with all types of people. Jared, in my opinion, is lacking those skills. He can't see that he is often times purely annoying. I'd much rather work or interact with Cullen over Jared, no contest. Finally, Cullen is a much better father. If all of this seems to apply that Cullen is "better" than Jared, so be it. It is only my opinion.

I agree, Jared is way over the top and he also has Ellie to contend with. Cullen is six years older so at the time they both started YouTube full-time, I would think Cullen would be further along in a career and that doesn't surprise me he was more established. Jared's degree was not a great one without further education and he put all his eggs in one basket assuming he would get into physical therapy school. If it weren't for YouTube, both of them would have worked to advance their careers. As far as good fathers, I believe their parenting has some part of their wives involve or their influence. I have seen good parts with both Cullen and Jared being dads.

Cullen at some point will be too old to continue to pull off practical jokes. He doesn't act like what I see as a mid thirty year old adult, but this is part of the YouTube game to attract viewers. I agree Cullen and Katie are so much better at not showing their relationship or keeps it private.

In the end, Jared must appeal to more viewers based on numbers and the shorter period of time he has vlogged compared to C&K channel. It would be an interesting Sociology Thesis on the details of success with YouTube vlogs. My first thing I would do in this research is go to Utah! The land of vloggers lol.

I believe a lot of popular vloggers do do it primarily for money but I believe a lot of older vloggers who have vlogged for many years do it both for memories and to show people their lives/for finances. I know people who started because their families lived a distance away, because they were doing cool things in their life or just because they enjoy vlogging. Heck, I'd probably start a youtube channel just to keep all my videos in one place. If all vloggers were just in it for the money, after not going big in a couple of years you would think they would give it up, but to actually maintain a channel for that long with little to no monetary reward typically indicates to me that theres stuff bigger than money driving the channel. This is just my opinion though and to reiterate, I'm talking more about some other vloggers I watch than C&K, though I don't think they are money hungry/as money hungry as certain other people.

I think C&K's relationship is so comfortable by now that they don't have to declare their love constantly on screen. They do say things to each other, and the way they were reciting "How Sweet it Is" that one time was cute, but things like Cullen decorating Katie's parents house for Christmas, and simple gestures like that are more telling and meaningful than all the flowers and Lush bath bombs and scripted statements Jared makes. You can see that they love each other. But 10 year olds like the grand gestures. To me, C&K's relationship is much more "goals" than E&J, and certainly Bryan and Missy!

I totally agree with you on their relationship vs B&M and E&J's. Cullen and Katie both show affection in real, relate able ways. They don't have to shower each other with gifts, constantly call each other hottie with a body or tell them to "slay". They show it by helping each other, doing nice things without being asked, and they seem to genuinely enjoy just being around each other, unlike the other couples. Cullen tweeted a picture last night of an elderly couple holding hands as they walked across a parking lot together and captioned it "Goals". It was the sweetest thing and is actual goals. The type of goals most mature couples who are really in love have. I just like that they set examples like that, and not like B&M who let their kid "fall" (not convinced it was an accident) into a fountain on more than one occasion and have children commenting to them that, that is a parenting goal.

Okay for real, I think they are throwing shade at BM now. If you don't watch DB there's some major speculation that Bryan told Ollie to touch his elf then played it off as if Ollie did it on his own. Now Cullen is praising MG for getting near her elf and not touching her. What do you guys think? I'm just a daily bumps hater lol I'm seriously waiting for the day Katie puts her foot down and says no more to the fake friendship

Wow awesome.....they're plane lands, they don't even have their luggage yet, but they make sure Ollie gets a new toy. That's what l would do too after stepping off a 10hr flight with my 3yr old 1yr old and in-laws. What do you think....taking all bets...my bet is Ollie will get a new toy daily. Fin may get 1 the whole trip.

I am almost positive that some of the "joking" comments C&K have made are passively throwing shade @ Bumps. The other day Katie commented on how Brooks is 4.5 months and she feels like he is still a newborn. She said 1.5 more months and he's ready to start baby led weaning. She then said "That means he'll be ready to eat pizza." Cullen starting laughing. That can't be a coincidence. They have made several jokes like that. Another one l am almost certain was mocking Bryan was when MG was potty training they kept saying "l went to grab the diaper bag and realized WE DON'T NEED ONE ANYMORE" in a mocking and sarcastic way, and then they'd both laugh. It was at the exact time as Bryan said that in his vlogs a few times to get the "when is Ollie gonna potty train" questions to die down.

I totally forgot to mention the camera thing also, Cullen said something like "I wish we could watch it back to see if she touched it, but it's not recording". Bryan and Missy make me sick. They don't even try and parent without help. I really do think they are only friends strictly for business. You'd think if they really liked each other they would try and attend each other's events, such as birthday parties get togethers things like that. Maybe they don't kiss bryan and missys ass enough so they don't get invited.

Well, Jared does seem to attract the teeny boppers, but that isn't a real positive in my book. However, I think you're talking about income and he seems to make more. Indeed, if I were doing a paper on family vlogging I'd certainly research in Utah. I've heard the LDS church encourages it. Also interesting to me is the abundance of vloggers who strongly identify as Christian family vloggers. They read a lot of scripture, go to bible studies, homeschool their children, the man leads the family in no uncertain terms, their lives revolve around God. I have to wonder if vlogging is their way of "spreading the word".
