Her dad drives one too. Wonder if they have a family friend or something at that dealership?

I doubt it. I think they just like Suburbans. If it were a friend they would have mentioned it on the vlog. My comment about them needing it was just mostly sarcasm, but they do seem to be keeping up with the Jones.

But the carbon footprint of a Suburban is just awful. They could have gotten something with much better gas mileage. Maybe some will think I am nitpicking, but our dependence on fossil fuels is a real problem.

I agree. Unless they are planning on having another baby very soon then i dont see the NEED for a suburban. But maybe im just jealous because i cram my family of 4 into my tiny clown car.. but we make it just fine LMAO
And just to be clear, I seriously side eye anyone with only a couple of kids getting a car the size of a Suburban. It's not just Cullen and Katie. They could have gotten a crossover with much better mileage and plenty of room. I guess this means that they're pretty sure they want the third kid. When Brooks was born, they said they weren't sure.

Wait, they _needed_ one because her family all has them? What do her parents need with a Suburban? The kids are gone. "Needing" one because your sister and parents have one is just silly. So, I guess none of them care if there's any planet left for the kids.

In their defense, they never said they needed one and they actually appeared very grateful for having the viewers/support to be able to get one. It was very genuine IMO.
Y'all I left a comment and tried to be as polite as possible giving them some criticism on the new vlog titles/ thumbnails and it was the number one comment and I think they deleted it.
I drove an Expedition for years with only one child. We also keep our cars for years and by the time we were done we had 3 kids. They mentioned that they keep their cars forever and will probably have more kids. Why buy something small when they will need something bigger in the future?
Why buy a new car when you are house hunting though? I thought the car they had was fairly new? I just hope this isnt the beginning of the end of them being relatable.

I still see your comment (I mean I guess it's yours). I just had to scroll a little bit.
I was on the same boat with getting a suburban and the carbon footprint, but I understood when the talked about wanting a truck because that is a debate my family went through when I was younger, and a suburban is a phenomenal car to load up with all the extra space in the back. They'll love it when they have to move.

Remember he said the other day if he likes your comment he'll bump it up to the top? I guess that kind of tells you how much he liked your comment/critcism. Oh well right? Lol

Think her car is newer, they traded his in, he said they had it for 6 or 7 years
They are all at the mercy of YouTube and the sponsors. I remember one YouTuber saying how he felt it necessary to diversify with other jobs in case there are changes with YouTube that could be costly.

I was listening to Clintus TV who once in a while talks about the YouTube business which is interesting to see his perspective. He said since August, views are down for not only him, but others vlogs. He said the only thing that has changed was the recommended area or what I think is autoplay on the right of the screen was once all of their vlogs were there and now there are other recommended/autoplay channels or vlogs. I think he is right since his dirt bike vlogs were big numbers and if there are not any or as many there in the recommended/autoplay this could see his numbers go down. So his channel has a half of million subscribers, and only thirty to forty thousand views daily, but he has a gaming channel too with low numbers. You would think with this many subscribers, you would have more views.
I wonder if YouTube is weeding channels out somewhat to grow the larger channels and see the small channels go away. This way they can focus their advertising sponsors to ones that are worthy of these dollars spent with YouTube channels.

One thing vlogging, is big purchases are a vlog event for sure. I think you are right and they are keeping up with two familiar YouTubers who have new homes and cars. I doubt they've closed on a house since I think the search will be vlog worthy and they will show the process. But it is interesting the timing of a big purchase and if they are buying a home.
They were talking about how Cullen wanted a truck so he could haul stuff, do they not still have his dad's truck? I know they still had it after Halloween because he used it when he got rid of the corn that was in the pool, but I've missed a few vlogs lately and didn't know if I've missed something about them getting rid of it. I know that's not the same as picking out what you want and it being "your" truck, but if they still have it, it's not like they don't have the ability to haul anything they would need to haul.
I've heard from multiple youtubers this week that youtube is changing. I know it was discussed briefly here. Does anyone know more about it? I guess I don't really understand it, people are acting like they are just going to stop getting views all together.

I think his dad's truck has only one row of seaging? I could be very wrong though. I think the thing is he wanted a "family" truck. Meaning if they are all out together and possibly might need to haul something he has the space for his family to be comfortable. My husband and I own a Juke while we both love it I'm constantly wondering how a car seat will work out in our car. We want to trade it in and our thoughts were a truck but it just doesn't seem family friendly.

They traded in his Jetta. I do totally understand wanting to get rid of the stick shift. It's fun to drive for a while, but if you're in traffic, it sucks. But as far as I know, they do still have the truck.
I gotta say it, they're starting to get obnoxious about the likes. And too bad going to buy a big new car only got 3,000 likes. Oh well. Not surprised Kelly's channel already has 10K subscribers. Wonder if C&K are a little irritated that they have worked for so long to grow their channel, and Kelly starts one and two days later has 10k subscribers.
