I saw it as minor product placement but if you hadn't have pointed it out I probably wouldn't have looked twice, if it was paid for then props to the company, not as in your face as other brands which turn me off them *cough* best fiends *cough* I don't think it could have been officially sponsored though, I think I read somewhere lately YouTube is getting tougher making sure people aren't profiting twice from videoslmmomSD wrote:Let me guess-- today's vlog was sponsored by Oreo. That Christmas train was very cool. Wish they had had something like that where we lived when my kids were little!

K, so either I haven't noticed how big Brooks was or how small Gaines was. They looked almost the same size from the angle it was at. Its cute to see Gaines interact with Brooks, even if it was a bit rough! (I think C&K handled it pretty well tho). Gaines looked so excited after the train trip!

I look for those things in movies, so I noticed it. I thought the Oreo thing was pretty obvious. I did have to laugh when Cullen asked Gaines if she liked the cookie candy bar, and she said no, and he tried to play it off.Lurker4Life wrote:I saw it as minor product placement but if you hadn't have pointed it out I probably wouldn't have looked twice, if it was paid for then props to the company, not as in your face as other brands which turn me off them *cough* best fiends *cough* I don't think it could have been officially sponsored though, I think I read somewhere lately YouTube is getting tougher making sure people aren't profiting twice from videoslmmomSD wrote:Let me guess-- today's vlog was sponsored by Oreo. There wasn't an ad before the vlog, so that made me think it was sponsored. Companies are doing a lot more product placement than overt ads. They have to disclose it to YouTube, but not necessarily to us.

That's odd, there was an add on my video which is why I said I didn't think it was sponsoredlmmomSD wrote:I look for those things in movies, so I noticed it. It's okay. I don't watch a whole lot of Youtube anymore lol. I've been watching "abandoned places with josh" lately, though. I mainly keep up with the other YT people on here these daysLurker4Life wrote:Lol, I guess you won't be watching much YouTube at all thenzipadeedodah wrote:Once they stop this stupid clickbait shit I will watch another video

That is odd, Lurker4life! Didn't want to create a huge quote tree. I don't have adblock on the TV. Oh well.

I'm pretty sure it was last year's party, not sure of the exact date, but probably same time of the year.

Re: Cullen and Katie: Blame the Mailman Part 7
I didn't take the PB as product placement. Katie showed it much closer during her shopping trip, but also did the same for everything else she bought. I think she was making peanut butter balls for one if the parties and just had it out on the counter. Either way it wasn't something i really even noticed, the Oreos were pretty obvious. They both could have been product placement, but the oreo's too me seemed a little more "placed" than the PB.
About the Suburban.. My mom dives a Yukon, and it's just her and my stepdad so i can't really comment on her parents driving a Suburban when its just them two. C&K may only have 2 kids now, but with the dogs and the kids and all the trips they take, they will love that car. The kids are growing up fast and even if they don't have anymore kids, it won't be long before they are driving around their kids, plus the kids' friends. Katie has Kelley and Jay's kids pretty often as well. I think the Suburban is a great choice for them. Especially given how many road trips they take to PCB and Tuscaloosa a year.

Re: Cullen and Katie: Blame the Mailman Part 7
It's getting a little ridiculous with Brooks safety. The other day they ate in a restaurant with his car seat on a different table feet behind them. Today he was balanced in the recliner in his car seat UNBUCKLED for at least 2.5 minutes while they were searching for the elf who knows how long before that. Not to mention numerous times in his electric swing unbuckled. I know they are good parents but they seem a little unsafe with their second baby. I was crazy with my kids when it came to this stuff. I wouldn't let their car seat be more than arms reach in a public place and always placed it on the floor rather than furniture especially at brooks age where he is starting to move around more.
Re: Cullen and Katie: Blame the Mailman Part 7
Cullen is so whinny sometimes. If he talks anymore about how hard it is to edit/vlog, help his sister-in-law with setting up a channel and the busy holiday season going to parties...I say go back to a forty hour week job and see how life is treating you. He said "just kidding" with setting up Kelly's channel, but I think he isn't. I am also wondering how much he can ask his viewers to like their vlogs without becoming too annoying. There has to be something with YouTube and the business aspect to vlogging for both Katie and Cullen to keep doing this.

Re: Cullen and Katie: Blame the Mailman Part 7
Did you miss the vlog where Cullen tethered the drone to the baby swing while Brooks was in it and they all stood around? This isn't new. They wouldn't buckle Gaines in the swing while she napped alone in her room. I think she napped in it until she was 6 months old.MommaLindsey2 wrote:It's getting a little ridiculous with Brooks safety. Re: Cullen and Katie: Blame the Mailman Part 7
Yes I remember the drone being tied to the swing. and wow I didn't know they did the same with Gaines. I didn't start watching till gains was about 8 months old. I know gains didn't roll till 7 months. Brooks has already rolled, the swing is NOT safe for him to be in without being buckled and neither is the carseat.Lovethesnark wrote:Did you miss the vlog where Cullen tethered the drone to the baby swing while Brooks was in it and they all stood around? Re: Cullen and Katie: Blame the Mailman Part 7
Katie comes from money. They both had jobs before YT, they'd probably be making these purchases regardless.
I'm confident they're not going to turn into the Lannings

Ok I feel like this is an awful thing to say but I think Emmy (i?) is an unfortunate looking child. I have no doubt she will grow into her looks, just look at her family! As for right now though, something just looks a little off to me.

I feel sad to say this but I think you are right. I think she may have a learning disability and with her speech you can barely understand anything she says. I hope i'm wrong she just seems very robotic. I used to think she was just very shy.liveyourlife22 wrote:Ok I feel like this is an awful thing to say but I think Emmy (i?) is an unfortunate looking child. That's funny because I've always thought she was a really cute little girl.liveyourlife22 wrote:Ok I feel like this is an awful thing to say but I think Emmy (i?) is an unfortunate looking child.
