janem wrote:All the pottery barn kids stuff...kitchen, new table and chairs, play food sets and wooden tools for Finn were close to $1000. The Tiffany arrow necklace is $300. Beauty and the beast thing was about $100. Coach reversible belt about $175.
There were a lot of things that could only be seen in passing. Didn't they buy Disneyland passes for people too? These are $329-$1049 for 3+ years old. Depending if you get the cheaper ones with the black out dates.
Just amazing the amount they spent with all the parties with catered food, decorations, etc. my guess is close to $50,000.
Don't forget to add in the dog and the pjs for everyone and that car.

Dog alone is probably close to a grand in start up costs (stuff for it, vaccinations, desexing, the dog itself, etc.) - I've got a 6 month old puppy and they are not cheap
The htc vive thing they got Jimmy, too. Google says it's $700. I saw a set of $2600+, too. But don't know which one they got him..
He's never going to know how to behave at the table if they don't teach him to sit peacefully and enjoy spending time with the people who are also at the table. No wonder he didn't bond with Zuri! He only bonds with screens! He needs to learn how to form relationships with actual people!

Technically there was one mention of Jesus after Papa got his leather apron and Bryan said something like 'I bet Jesus had one like that' which came across to me as such a strange and random thing to say...
Double post sorry: they're really taking a hit in E &J comments. Sounds like even young minions are commenting about the excess in DB gift giving. Also how the mechams made sure that their boys were aware of the real reason for Christmas. They even went to church. I have a feeling, like many have said on here, all this excess is going to eventually be their downfall. Viewers get tired of watching it. Kids start feeling bad b/c they don't have it all and will stop. It's been said before how most of the vlogs are full of their excessive buying, eating out and laziness. What kid wants to see that?
Did anyone else catch Missy's ticked off expression when Ollie was driving the car and ran into stuff? She was not happy.
They really are a train wreck.
Getting fin from his crib in today's vlog, previously Missy has stated that fin always wakes up screaming. And almost everytime we see them get him from nap his poor little face looks like he has been crying for atleast 15 min.
Today
Ollie: "he's not crying!"
Bry: "ya"
Idk...I really feel like they just leave fin to scream and cry when he wakes up until they feel like getting him or notice he is crying (After an extended period of time)
And not that today was solid proof of what I said..I just find it weird, it looked like they were anxious for him to get up ( camt keep prince ollie waiting to open presents)so they were right their to get him as soon as he awoke instead of him sitting their screaming and crying for a long time.
Mabey I'm just over analyzing.
Surprised they left another tantrum in the vlog (the "we can't open presents because we're gonna eat breakfast first" one). As usual though, no proper follow-through.
This guy I rather burn my gift card than to buy this bs...

I don't remember him being this desperate last year preorders not going well Bryan?

You don't remember him buying expensive headphones for everyone on Christmas last year? Then every time someone opened one he would look at the camera and say: "so you can listen to my new EP Like a Lion now available for preorder on iTunes"
Makes you wonder what - if anything - Bryan got his mom and sister. I wonder if he even let the boys call/FaceTime their grandma and aunt! It seems to be all about the Hollisters!

I don't think you're over analyzing, that's exactly what I thought too. They really have no interest in Finn it seems.
Most of the time when my son wakes him he hangs out in his crib for a while before he starts crying, he's probably left in there until they just have to get him.
They act like Finn doesn't even count because he's "so little" that is so sad. This was yummy sons first Christmas & I didn't even want to get an ornament with his, mine, and my husband's name, because I thought it would be unfair for our future child (who isn't even conceived yet) lol
i have been a lurker on this website for a few months now, but after today's vlog, i just could not hold my tongue anymore. i am honestly livid.
before finley was born, i watched daily bumps religiously. i thoroughly enjoyed them. but after mithy failed to have the perfect little girl she wanted, things took an obvious turn for the worse and i could not stomach watching them anymore - i almost completely stopped last april. from watching here and there and reading her, i think i am pretty up to speed though. this vlog just did me in. i am appalled.
first of all, for the first five minutes, finley was not seen or heard of. i get that he is just a baby and he needs his sleep, but they could have at least waited for him to wake up. he completely missed out on waking up to see mimi and papa and all they gifts that were waiting for him. but no, he's just the step child that nobody wants. their is no unity between the two of them. it's just their perfect golden child and then finn just walking around in the background. finley is getting to an age where he isn't just a newborn they can toss over to the side. he's still a baby, but that side of him is going to start to fade away and he's gonna need him momma and dada just as much as The Prince. it hurts my heart though, because his baby innocence is all that is left and Bryan and Mithy are just gonna throw that away just like ollie. he's gonna turn into an ungrateful brat too...which isn't really his fault, or oliver's. it's their fault.
second of all, the elephant in the damn room, all. those. presents. oliver is completely numb to gift giving because it is his every day routine. he has no real value when it comes to receiving or giving gifts. this christmas, i literally had one present to open, and it was a dollar store shirt from my sister...and i value that more than anything. all i cared about was that my brothers had gifts and with each one they opened, it was as if they had won the entire world. but ollie opened one, looked at it, and moved onto the next one. it's sickening. and they don't even incorporate Christ into Christmas. cullen and katie are my absolute favorite vloggers, and each year they instill the love of Christ into Christmas while still making it fun for Gaines. they always have the most exciting time with their family and you can tell they really enjoy it. that is what christmas is about. not how many toys you can buy your kid.
last but not least...the dog. the freaking dog that will disappear in three weeks, just like zuri. and don't even get me started on zuri. they got that cat knowing that she would be high maintenance, and then they just shrugged her off like she was an inconvenience to the world. i have had my cat for four years and i have done things for her, cleaned up things for her that i don't even want to talk about outside of the walls of my house. but you do that because PETS ARE FAMILY and they deserve forever homes. not to be a youtube prop. and then to go out and get a dog? let's be real, that is mithy's dog...and it will be gone once the puppy stage really sets in. these people are beyond me.
