All this talk about Finn being so neglected is a little extreme. lol I hardly ever see the kid walking around he is constantly being carried by his mom. He seems very spoiled, babbles all the time, is interactive, claps, points, says a few words. Babies don't learn all those things if they are completely ignored. The only attention he doesn't get is camera attention for some reason. Lately they have done a lot better though. Not saying I like them or anything. I think their kids are going to grow up and be jaded, spoiled, and crappy people but never have I questioned Finn being properly cared for. I believe off camera he gets just as much attention, if not more than Ollie does. The only interaction Ollie probably gets is on camera, the rest of the time is is locked in the playroom.

If you want to look at someone who seriously favors one child over another watch Ellie and Jared. Their favoritism of Calvin is disgusting to watch.

I've never heard Finn said any words... Not calling you a liar or anything, please PLEASE prove me wrong, bc that worries me more than anything. He's over a year old and ive never even heard him say mama or dada ;(
Maybe he talks up a storm but we never see it bc they always have the camera on Ollie and his mumbled mispronounced talkden.
Thought I heard him say mama or dada? Maybe not. Even so he does jabber which is good for his age I heard it today, i swear when he grabbed the camera the other day it sounds like he tried to say "hey guys" he mimics and does all the other things either ahead or on track for his age. Not all babies are talking yet. My son 2 weeks younger than Finn says and says only 4 words mama, dada, bye bye, and wow.
Look at kerens baby Jackson all he does is whine and screech for comparison.

But I also get the impression that Finn is a quiet baby. He seems very observant of his surroundings. He seems to love to play and follow everyone around. This is likely going to change as he shifts from being an infant to an actual toddler. I'm holding out hope for him. In my opinion, Finn doesn't get camera attention or real attention.

Remember when she took Finn with her to Hawaii and the comment section was in uproar because she didn't bring Ollie. I don't know how people on here felt about that at the time because I wasn't on here. But I found it annoying. They were acting like Ollie was going to be upset that he couldn't go. People have always looked out for Ollie. Finn is really just afterthought in their lives. And if that changes after he shifts into toddlerhood, then I will give them credit.

I've seen him babble, but haven't heard any actual words. But then again, I don't watch every single vlog. I can't. I get too angry. Then I start yelling at the TV and blood vessels start popping in my head.
I don't think he's "neglected". He's obviously cared for and gets attention. It's the bitching about him that bothers me. Missy complains that he's "so clingy" and only wants her, and then they're filmed with everyone carrying him except her, and Finn runs to Natalia and Mimi when Missy is right there. Then when they were in Seattle, they were bitching about how they never get one on one time with Ollie because they always have to change Finn's diaper.
The "you're too little" stuff, they actually did with Ollie too. Their excuse for not having him have art supplies was that he was too little, (which he wasn't) and Bryan would say he couldn't wait until Ollie was "big enough to play Legos" even though they make Duplo, which are Legos aimed at toddlers. He was just wanting to play with particular Legos. They just have a weird idea about what toddlers can do. I just don't get giving a kid a toy for Christmas and then telling him he's too little to play with it. Of course, the minions will say "Santa brought it".

I don't think Finn is neglected, but I do think he's ignored. I don't get the impression Missy engages and interacts with him much. Yes she wears him, but there's more to parenting than breastfeeding and baby wearing.

Edited to add: I don't think Missy is that great of a mother and fully engaged and bonded with Oliver either. Heck, she's not even bonded with Bryan!

I think neglected is a pretty strong word to use as well. But I do think Bryan is a bit detached from Fin. I don't think he really bonded with Finn as much as he did with Ollie. Perhaps he was too busy shoving a camera into the kid's face. Admittedly I've seen vlogs where Fin was really squirmy whenever Bryan held him or he just didn't seem very happy being held by him. Could be Fin is just a mama's boy too, who knows. My issue is, as you pointed out, that Fin hardly gets any camera time and is left out of a lot of things. Then there's the whole *Ollie's* playroom and toys for fin = toys for Ollie thing they have going on. There was one particular vlog when Bryan was walking ahead of Fin and he kinda just left him behind. That didn't sit well with me at all. Like what parent does that. Unless Missy was somewhere close, even though I didn't see her around at that point.

Idk, there's just something off about the way Fin is treated on camera.

Meh I disagree on a few points. I have a three year and we bought lego duplo's when he was like two and it was pointless. He didn't get the idea of putting them together and got frustrated when he couldn't do it himself. Waiting until you think your child is old enough is fine.

It definitely seems like they don't know how to set boundaries with siblings. Like everything that is Finn's is also Ollie's but not the other way around? Doesn't make sense. If there are particular toys that are meant just for that child or that the child doesn't want their sibling playing with, then they should go in that child's room. I think they should make more of am effort to allow each boy to play in his own room alone a little more.

That's actually sometimes that bothers me a lot with vloggers. You never see them just leaving their kids alone. Like let them play by themselves a little.

I don't think Finn is neglected at all. However I def think they don't gush on him as much as they did Ollie. That's pretty normal though. Ollie was their first and he was kind of a miracle baby after her two losses. I think Bryan is more guilty of this then Missy is though. I can't stand Bryan way more then Missy. It's always all about him and I hate it.

Missy and Ollie seemed to have such a good time today and it was actually enjoyable seeing them together at Disney.

Also Bryan and Jim's interaction with each other is so awkward. Like why?

Bryan and Missy are definitely not guilty of not leaving their kids alone. There have been plenty of times when they've "found" Finn, meaning they're not paying attention to where he is or what he's doing. Ollie and Finn both eat meals alone, and they frequently put them in the playroom with a movie so they can do what they want. What really irritates me I'd that they don't put them in the playroom just to play. They talk about the kids using their imaginations (well, Ollie, anyway), but they never have them in there without the TV on. I notice this with a lot of vloggers. Even if they're not actually sitting and watching anything, the TV is always on. C&K do it, Shay, Bryan and Missy-- all have their TV'S on constantly. No wonder those kids can't sit still for 2 seconds without a screen in front of them. That's one thing I can say for Bonnie. Not having the TV in the living room upstairs keeps them from having it on constantly.

This giant toddler acting like she's never been to Disneyland before. Don't get me wrong...I'm sure everyone gets excited when they are there but she doesn't put extra effort in making Ollie feel the same way. He's scared of the characters and they have been there how many times? Clearly this is the first time she's actually stopped to ask him what rides he wants to go on - Pey and Liv were so adorable and well behaved, I'm sure Jeff and Tal have a wonderful time going anywhere with the girls.

Bryan and his stories of his kids "finding" things....like seriously how about you go and "find" the diaper bag so you can change his diaper, and how about you "find" some time to give Finn the same love you give Ollie! Missy and Bryan were showing so much love for Ollie and Luna at the end it's almost like Luna is their second child and Finn is the adoptive one!

Do you think it's because they pick up on Missys INTENSE gender disappointment and just emulate it? Kids (ie the main chunk of their viewer base) are pretty impressionable after all.

Sent from my SM-G930R4 using Tapatalk
Their child viewers see babies as easy, fun, loving dolls. Kids (and a lot of adults) have the idea that there shouldn't be two genders in a row. That it should be boy-girl or girl-boy, not girl-girl or boy-boy. They were probably all expecting a girl (like Missy) and were disappointed when it was a boy. It was really their own gender disappointment, rather than picking up on Missy's.

They do definitely pick up on the negativity, though. Kids hear an adult say "ugh it's his fault" they'll repeat it. They talk down Finn because they think they're supposed to.

They also talk down Finn because most kids on the internet are brats. Like, the type of kids who probably have their own younger siblings that they hate. So they're going to blame Finn

I had to laugh at your post because I "actually" stopped today's video during Missy's intro after the 7th use of the word in the span of oh, about 45 seconds. I couldn't go on; maybe I'll be brave and go in later.
