To be honest, take what Anna said with a pinch of salt. She says she has OCD when that's obviously not the case. So if she falsely diagnosed herself with OCD I'm sure she'll do the same with a phobia. She was probably just a little nervous about pregnancy but exaggerated it a lot. I think it's normal to feel a little nervous about pregnancy, you lose control of your body and then you've got to fit something the size of a watermelon out of you.
agree but i dont think its fair to talk about poor emilia only being born because anna couldnt get an abortion, thats cruel!
She's not motherly at all, did you see the most recent photo she uploaded to facebook? Emilia and jofus' faces disorted, i assume using the ipad or something? Anyway, it could be just a lighthearted little bit of fun, but seens as we always over analyse everything (haha) i got thinking, maybe this is a sign of things to come, her always making emilia look 'less cute' as she gets older as anna will be jealous of the attention her daughter gets?

I think that some of you are getting a bit too speculative about accidents etc and I suppose I hate to hear of such a gorgeous little baby being called a mistake when it is just speculation. I agree that Anna does seem a little distant in the vlogs, and I agree she does indeed seem spoiled and lazy in general unfortunately when you add up hundreds of days worth of vlog footage, I.e. it is not just one snapshot of one day but a snapshot of EVERY day.

I do wonder. If she is suffering a little from pnd though, which must be extremely difficult whe she is being filmed and watched every day, and if that is the case, it certainly will not help her recover seeing all the feedback and comments, so I would hope that if pnd is an issue that her health would be put first.

One thing I have to say is that recently I disagree with a lot of the criticism that he has been getting, simply because it looks as if he is just holding them together and keeping baby, wife, dogs etc on track and functioning. He is very irritating obviously but he truly seems to be managing everything himself? Which makes me pity him a little despite all the other stuff. He is extremely hands on as a husband, and I think that he sadly feels he got the prize with a young 'hot' wife without realising that their partnership from the outside at least looks very much as though he must pander to her demands to keep her happy.

However they did make a beautiful little baby girl and I just hope that they both put her needs first

AMandaPanda wrote:So I commented on yesterdays vlog last night before I went to bed. I wasn't rude, or hostile, or a "hater" at all. I was only curious because Emilia is already 2 months, and she's ALWAYS in that damn swing. I asked either of them if they ever let Emilia have tummy time, play with her, read to her, give her toys to play with, etc. All of these things are extremely crucial for her development. Even my cousins doctor recommended that it's usually a good idea to start exposing your baby to this stuff early so that they can learn and reach their milestones.

When I woke up this morning and checked my email, OF COURSE, my comment got votes down and J&A's minions were like "just because they don't film it doesn't mean that they don't do it". I'm just... just so seriously BAFFLED beyond words. I find it so incredibly disturbing how these people will immediately jump in to defend these two without knowing anything about what it means to raise a child. Somebody even said this:
"To all the haters, Emilia is still practically a newborn. This means that there is no point doing 'tummy time' or reading to her or trying to teach her things - she is still a baby!!! Let them learn and grow as parents without your unwanted, rude comments. My mother told me if I don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all - take a leaf out of her book."
At first I was really surprised, annoyed and angry at how anyone can say that it's "pointless" to give a baby tummy time or even read to them, but then I decided to just let it go. These people are all most likely teenagers who just watch J&A for entertainment. None of them are mothers and they know what it's like to raise a baby so obviously they'll say stupid shit like that. Heck I wouldn't even be surprised if one day Dofus decides to put Emilia in a cardboard box and ship her all the way to Timbuktu because they think its a "funny" joke. The minions will defend that too. They'll defend anything J&A do.
Tummy time IS for newborns! I bought my new nephew a 'tummytime' mat which was made for 0-6 months old! It's so annoying hearing 12 year olds dispensing words of wisdom on parenting. Get back to your Bratz Dolls :x

That said, if Anna hadn't wanted her baby I'm sure she and Jofus would have just gone to the UK for an abortion. In her position I don't think she was trapped into it.

if she didnt want emilia its her own fault for not making him wrap it. She needs to step up and be a mother and stop lieing around blaming breastfeeding for doing nothing. Shes a horrible excuse for a mother atm and needs to step it up. that swing is not the parent, SHE is the parent and needs to start acting like it. atleast he takes a bit of a step in the right by carrying her a little.

I also don't agree with the accident theory. She was on the pill, there was no reason to stop for her. She used the pill for several years without problems and she's not the type to think "Oh, hey, maybe messing with my natural hormones isn't a good idea." or anything similar. She does what authority tells her, with sheep mentality. She well may have had a fear of pregnancy and no desire to have kids but whether it was an actual phobia is highly doubtful. A person with such a phobia would not have had an accident. If she forgot to take her pill, she'd be sure to take precautions or not have sex. You don't need a phobia to do that, regular old fear would do. Anna doesn't strike me as someone who'd have qualms about abortion. She'd fly over to the UK and have it done.
They were in a slump post-wedding. Their moods and the vlogs were more dreary than usual, many commented on it. Some said that they gave into the pressure of viewers to have a kid. Hell, no, I don't think so. Well, not in the sense of pleasing the viewers, we know they don't care about that, and that would be too stupid even for them. They may have had the baby for the views--"Hey, the minions keep harping about a baby, it's bound to increase our views. And if we make a big deal of having it on YT, it'll be huge."--so for more cunning reasons.
Dofus may have made some kind of a deal with her. Maybe he whined about kids and guilt tripped her into it. Maybe he promised her things. Who knows. I also don't think she was completely against having a baby. Maybe the thought of spending all her future hours alone with Dofus scared her, lol. Also, for someone like Anna, who strives to project this traditional image--marrying, having kids, dogs and a house with picket fence--was simply the mindless path she chose for herself. It may have been accelerated by the friend who also had a baby around the same time. To me, it seems that in a way she enjoyed her pregnancy and having a baby because it gives her that outdated but age old status symbol. o yeah, not for all the right reasons, and she may not have allowed the enormity of it to dawn on her, hence the avoidance tactics like sleeping all day, angry outbursts, not becoming involved in anything deeper and just following some old worn out path and Dofus.

I think he does the lions share of what's done but what actually gets done really isn't a lot. He has a been a complete and utter twat over the past few weeks with the showing off and bragging (and telling lies about stupid things like cars) so I think these criticisms are pretty warranted.
Yes he tries a bit with the baby but it's very evident neither of them prepared much and that she still spends the majority of her time swinging back and forward alone.

True. Even if he does most of the work, it's not a lot. And he fools around most of the day anyway. It would be different if he worked like he did in the past. I don't know exactly what's going on as I haven't been watching, but before baby, both of them stated, and we saw, that Anna did all of the house cleaning (I think he vacuumed once in a while and that miscarried nesting attempt at cleaning the oven, eww) and laundry. And yeah, we made fun of their home being gross and it well may have been in the areas the dogs peeing all over but it was usually pretty neat and the bathrooms looked clean. Not much clutter or old pizza laying around. And I remember seeing the laundry often drying or folded on the table. If Anna is genuinely not doing anything, though I'm skeptical, Dofus should get her some help. It's not normal and I doubt she's being willingly that lazy.

Anyone else notice when Anna says "But all my friends, that have babies have camera monitors.... By friends, I mean online friends." Jonathan then laughs.

So they clearly read here, it's kind of weird. I feel a bit bad now. I do try to keep my comments constructive but sometimes they make me despair.

Im not going to get into an abortion debate. Im just going to say that people need to stop using this for their own personal agenda's. No one know's what happened and won't know until the results of an independent report are released.

From the information that was released is was clear that abortion had little to do with this. I have a science degree and can tell you that any woman who is left with a dilated cervix for more than 24 hrs will develop septicaemia. Something drastically went wrong at this point. A strong IV antibiotic would have dealt with an E.coli infection.

Abortion does not cure septicaemia. Even if the baby was aborted she would have had a bacteremia which would have led to the same result as obviously something went wrong with the antibiotic therapy. An educated guess is that it may not have been administered quick enough.

Septicaemia can be highly fatal if not treated regardless if a person is pregnant or not.

I had a mild septicaemia last summer and I was so so sick. If it had spread to my organs I would have been in serious trouble too.

I think the abortion debate is way too sensationalized in this story. It was poorly dealt incident that unfortunately led to the death of a woman. I read that the doctors could have induced labor to get the baby out without actually performing the normal abortion procedures. The doctors were too scared to meddle IMO.

I do think there needs to be some more reform with abortion laws even in developed countries like Ireland.
