I've never thought of it that way, these kids don't know how to be complimented without being called turds or jerks...not to mention, when Tayler does say something nice about them, she has to over exaggerate and compare them to other children ("their eyesight is better than most kids their age", "Alesana is reading better than the other kids in her class" etc).
I think she does that because she was probably never complimented on her school work, knowing her mom, she probably called Tayler names because of her lack of learning. So maybe that's why Tayler needs to always compare her kids to others.

There are organizations all over the country, such as National Network of Abortion Funds, that raise money to help poor women get abortions. It's all private donations that go into a pool. Whatever clinic counseled her for her abortion probably contacted an organization to help pay for it. Kind of a waste of donors' money for her to just go and get pregnant again the next month tbh.
