Re: DailyKingsandQueensofLie-daho (Part 80)
What was with the face Missy pulled when they were talking about wanting to stay in Hawaii and bringing the boys out?
Oh wow.. Mimi and Poppa actually found time to fix Ollie's hair. But wait... later in the vlog his hair isnt fixed but hes in the same clothes. what on earth..I do like that Mimi seems to take the time to help Ollie pronounce words correctly.
Why is Ollie so terrified of the stove? wonder if M&B have made him that way by telling him he will get burned or if he's been burned in the past. He seemed really terrified of it.
No one wants to hear you sing Bryan, have you not realized that yet?
When Bryan is telling Finn hello he doesn't even look at him, he's staring at himself in the camera the whole time. So sincere Bryan..
"shhh dont tell your brother but we got you more presents.." the favoritism is disgusting.
So the puke bowl is now a leak bowl and will be used in the kitchen.. again.. gag

Re: DailyKingsandQueensofLie-daho (Part 80)
Wait, their million dollar house has a leaky roof? Good thing they have that new refrigerator and dishwasher and have ignored the roof.
And this is old, but the talk about the stove made me think of it. When Bryan cooked lunch for Missy on his birthday, it was plain gnocchi. Just sauteed gnocchi. No sauce. Gag. Little balls of pasta with no sauce.

Oh C&K are having Gaines learn how to empty the dishwasher and put stuff away. How long until B&M have to one up them and teach Ollie how to do something productive?

OKay so thoughts on today's vlog, as it's the first I've watching in a while...
Bryan and Missy's interactions were weirdly cute and normal? They must've fucked on this trip come on guys
Props to Mimi for making sure not to make Ollie even MORE afraid of the stove. Yes, he should know not to touch it, but he would hardly get close enough to pour anything in the pot lol
I cringed SO MUCH when Bryan walked in singing. Please.
They did get a present for Finn. They got him a truck and Ollie a dinosaur crane??? toy. From Hawaii (or the airport lol). If I went on a trip, my family would be getting gifts themed around wherever I was. Seriously!!!
Bryan: What's that bowl for?
Ollie: Um, it's for popcorn.
Bryan: Popcorn?
Ollie: Yeah.
Bryan: I know, but what have we been using it for? Do you know what?
Me: Vomit?

Re: DailyKingsandQueensofLie-daho (Part 80)
The roof thing doesn't surprise me actually. Flashy people tend to prioritize the things that people can see and that they can buy. Maintenance is sacrificed. Drive through a really nice neighbourhood that is about 10 years old and you'll see a surprising of eun down fences and cracked driveways for a neighbourhood with an affluent reputation. I can see E&J having this problem because Jared just isn't handy. Bryan and Jared can hardly change light bulbs, unless someone else is helping them with maintenance or encouraging them to call a repairman I just see things getting put off.lmmomSD wrote:Wait, their million dollar house has a leaky roof? I kind of see their roof being leaky and them just now finding out. They live in California where it hardly rains, sometimes it takes a lot of rain for the leak to show up.
That said, I'm surprised they didn't get an all new roof when they purchased the house.

It also could have something to do with new lights being installed as well. The electrician installed recessed lighting in the foyer (i think thats where it was) just a short time ago (before they had all this rain i think) and he could have installed that one at the same time. I agree that with the dry weather they have had virtually since moving in, and then with the mass amounts of rain they had in the past few days, it could be that it was something new. Maybe damage from some storms? Don't know if they have had high winds but that could be a factor as well (roofing material lifting or torn off).MommaLindsey2 wrote:I kind of see their roof being leaky and them just now finding out. Re: DailyKingsandQueensofLie-daho (Part 80)
Do you guys think that it was part of the deal with Four Seasons that they HAD to 100% positive about the review of the resort? I really think they just didn't like the place. Sure it was Hawaii and i would have been more than happy to take a free trip there, but since they have been several times i would say they had expectations for this place that didn't live up. I would have rather them be like "this is a gorgeous place, wonderful food and service .. but it just wasn't for us. If you are looking for a upscale, kid free, luxury vacation in modern accommodations then this is perfect for you, but if you are looking for a family centered adventure i wouldn't recommend this resort." I don't think thats a negative thing to say, its for sure the vibe that i got from this visit... and probably more truthful than anything they tried to fake. I just like honest reviews of things, and you can't sit there and watch how bored Missy looks the whole time and really believe it when she gushes about how much she loved it.

Re: DailyKingsandQueensofLie-daho (Part 80)
Tomorrow's vlog. Just wait for it.. we will see him doing some sort of chore. I love how in yesterday's vlog (i think) Cullen and katie said that she cleared her dishes and rinsed them and placed them in the sink all on her own. She's for sure being raised to know that cleaning up after yourself is part of life, unlike Ollie who hardly ever has to do anything productive and sees others doing simple tasks for his parents everyday.Sevan116 wrote:Oh C&K are having Gaines learn how to empty the dishwasher and put stuff away. I was happy to see Mimi trying to cook with Ollie but I don't understand why he was so afraid... Each time he managed to do something (with Mimi's help) he was saying "it wasn't too bad" (which was very cute!) as if he expected something bad to happen if he cooked... Maybe if he was more used to his parents cooking he wouldn't be so scared of it??? That's the only explanation I have unless something happens in the past that I don't know about... Mimi said he was"afraid of being burn but I still find it weird, was he hurt before?...

I was going to say something like that lol, he has probably only seen B and M use the stove like 3 times in his life, he would probably have no issues using the microwave lol. (it's actually kind of sad.)Midia wrote:I was happy to see Mimi trying to cook with Ollie but I don't understand why he was so afraid... I'm so grateful for all of you. I haven't had a single desire to watch these people in months and I come here and get every bit of info I could possibly need. maybe I'll watch a few of these Hawaii vlogs tonight. I need a good laugh.

Re: DailyKingsandQueensofLie-daho (Part 80)
That's the only thing I can think of-- that the roof was fine when they moved in, and was damaged by the storms. I would hope they had it inspected before moving in-- doesn't the bank insist on that? I have a fenced in concrete patio and the drain got overwhelmed by the storm on Friday, and I actually had to bail it before the water got up to the sliding glass door. But it just seems ridiculous to have a house like that and have a leaky roof.Playsinrain wrote:It also could have something to do with new lights being installed as well. Re: DailyKingsandQueensofLie-daho (Part 80)
HIs little "it wasn't too bad" was awfully cute. I agree that it seems strange that he acted so scared of the stove and things cooking. He has helped Bryan and Missy cook before, i know i remember seeing him up on the counters while they are making pancakes and cookies ect... BUT .. it's been a minute since we have seen that. It really makes me wonder if he grabbed something he shouldnt have or got splattered with popping food or something. He kept covering his eyes like he expected it to get him in the face. (TOTAL SPECULATION WARNING>>>LOL) IF something like that happened then i can understand why he would be scared. Also, if he got hurt cooking, I wonder why it didn't make it to the vlog? "TODDLER BURNED BY HOT GREASE" sounds like something right up their alley. Makes me think something happened when they weren't paying attention to him or some other accident that could be deemed as their fault, bc we can all admit that things happen and little ones can get a burn even if you are right beside them while they help. But if it showed B&M being less than what they want to perceive then it would be left out. Or all this could just be weird toddler fears as well. Maybe he got a tiny splatter of something hot, not even enough to burn him, but enough to scare him... just bouncing around situations...Midia wrote:I was happy to see Mimi trying to cook with Ollie but I don't understand why he was so afraid... Re: DailyKingsandQueensofLie-daho (Part 80)
Home inspections are not always required for conventional loans (which i assume they have) but it is required for FHA, USDA type loans. Even if it's not required for a mortgage, I ALWAYS strongly suggest getting a home inspection (unless the buyer is an investor(or "flipper"), paying cash and knows up front the home is a fixer upper) no matter the financing, and no way on earth would i suggest anyone to skip an inspection on a million dollar plus home. Way too much invested in something like that for you to be having roofing or electrical issues a few months down the road. With all the leaks they found right after moving in, it really makes me wonder if they had one. (Remember the "spring" on the "property" that was actually a water leak? Yeah... and it was even on the listing as a spring.. lol A home inspector would have more than likely found that issue.)lmmomSD wrote:That's the only thing I can think of-- that the roof was fine when they moved in, and was damaged by the storms. Re: DailyKingsandQueensofLie-daho (Part 80)
They've probably just drilled it into him not to touch the stove because it's hot and you'll get burned. Perhaps not the best way to go about it, but he's three, he doesn't understand the difference between it when it's on and off. Ideally they'd just watch him when the stove is on, but at 3 it's probably for the best to just keep him away from it unless someone is helping him.

Re: DailyKingsandQueensofLie-daho (Part 80)
Okay, I'm at 5:11 in today's video and I might be alone in this, but I'm completely charmed by Ollie covering his eyes. The kid is starved for new EXPERIENCES (new stuff, he gets plenty of, but there's not a lot of variety in things he experiences ... even when they go to a completely different continent). No wonder he's so freaked out! When he said "... that was not too bad." I actually cracked up and "awww"ed.
No, I have not been drinking.
Might be ovulating, though.
Edited to Add: Okay ... it gets progressively less cute over the next two minutes.

Bryan's album is now #132 on the charts here in Canada!
... is it awful that I'm happy that his album flopped? Lol one of my 2017 predictions came true already

Ollie freaking out about cooking was a clear indication they don't teach this kid to experience anything...he had no idea what Mimi was even doing.....only because Missy doesn't do any cooking and Bryan mostly cooks while Ollie is shoved in the "play" room watching a movie with his chokit milk!!

Re: DailyKingsandQueensofLie-daho (Part 80)
Theory from watching Ollie cooking. The chicken popped onto Ollie and burned him and that's why he's so scared.
I've drilled into my 3 year old the stove will burn you but he has never acted like that before!
