I laugh at her idea of what future wages would be. There isn't exactly a shortage of x-ray tech qualified people either. It has to be one of the hardest jobs to find unless someone retires. At least hair stylist was something that she could have probably found a chair somewhere, like at one of those $10 places. But no, she's just like Tayler, always has big ideas, never finishes anything and thinks minimum wage is beneath her.

She can't even finish HIGH SCHOOL but she wants us to believe she'll make it in anything medical. Ha! The only thing she knows how to see all the way through is pregnancy (unlike Tayler).

In this case she's probably right. There's a shortage of qualified professionals in Northern BC and if she's good she can probably get an x-ray tech position at the hospital, medical unit there or in one of the outlying areas. She'd be union and would have benefits and job security. Even if she sucked they couldn't kick her ass out. Probably perfect for her!

Hairstylists rarely stick with it, so that was a poor long term plan to start with. There definitely isn't a shortage of those either. Beauty school is a lot easier to get into than the X-Ray tech program though. I don't see her standing a chance. Living off the system will always be easier.

I could only find one job listing in that field in PG, and anyone with any experience would trump someone coming fresh out of a program. I agree though, she's never going to be smart enough to make it through that kind of a program. I don't think she realizes that she's in a small market for anything she tries to do, and there will be a lot of competition. She doesn't come off as either smart, or competent. I don't see her making it through an interview. But it's not like she will ever complete anything either. She's only on her third kid. She'll have a couple more most likely. It would be different if she got cut off welfare.

It's actually pretty difficult to get hired in most of the tech jobs in the PG hospital because there's only a couple of positions per specialty. Most people have to get jobs in other, more remote, towns and wait for someone to retire.

She could probably do medical admin or something like that. Maybe psw.
Realistically she won't ever finish a program and she'll be working entry level jobs her whole life (if she even does that)

A few people a year do actually get hired on as casuals in the department. There is a surprising amount of turnover as people are able to find jobs in better areas. She could work her way up if she was good enough to get hired on and waited for her own position.

Of course she'd have to not suck for this to happen so its very unlikely at any rate.

She's looking for an administration or office job at the moment so I don't see her doing school for healthcare anyway.
