Re: DailyHomeImprovements: Part #81
Sad thinga happened guys! 1) it was raining and it makes it hard to take the dog out and the kids can't go outside to play.
2) Missy's flight was supposed to originally come in at 1am while Bryan would be asleep
3) Missy's flight was cancelled, rebooked for the next day. Don't worry she rebooked it.
4) Corbin and Kelsey went home
5) Missy's rebooked flight was delayed and she missed her connection
6) Missy gets another rebooked flight but was laid over until 10:30pm
7) Missy lost her wallet on her previous flight, but she has a Starbucks gift card on her phone that she can use.
8) Her phone was dying and she forgot her charger (the charging port) at Kelsey's mom's home. Although I'm pretty sure there are charging stations there.
9) Missy makes it home at 2am

Corbin let the cat out of the bag "Thanks for flying me out man, I'm blessed..." so they paid for his flight...

She didn't even try to use that app! Why complain about being hungry if you don't use it?!Sevan116 wrote:Missy had to use her Starbucks app to buy food? What is this world coming to?? So sad.

Missy loves throwing herself pity parties! Let's make a big deal she can't charge her phone or doesn't have money. Oh wait, she does have a phone charger, giftcard and Apple Pay. She can't even think cause she's so caught up in her pity. I've lost my wallet and phone before and I never have cried , i panicked and worried but never cried or called everyone about how sad I was.

Re: DailyHomeImprovements: Part #81
I had so much second hand embarrassment watching Missy cry over losing her wallet. I almost had sympathy for her until I realized that she was crying because she couldn't buy a phone charger, and not because she was worried about her cards and identity theft! Only Missy would get upset about not being able to replace a charger that SHE LEFT at Kelsey's mom's house! Money is disposable! That's why she didn't care if someone was out charging up a storm on her cards! No! The scary and sad thing was not having a fully charged phone!

Re: DailyHomeImprovements: Part #81
And it's her own fault for losing that wallet. My mother always told me as soon as you're done with it it goes back in your purse ASAP. And when travelling I or my husband always put a card or two in a seperate pocket or wherever we can in case we lose our wallets. Also she has more luxury than most people would have had in that same situation.heymallie wrote:Missy loves throwing herself pity parties! So all that carrying on was over a flight change and a phone charger?
Cue a rant about how she's never traveling by herself again. I'm sure it's coming soon if she didn't do it in today's vlog (haven't watched yet).

Re: DailyHomeImprovements: Part #81
I understand Missy crying. I cry at stupid frustrations all the time. I can't even have a simple disagreement without getting flustered and tearing up.
I also understand her feeling panicked and stupid at her own ditziness. It takes some time to get over the anxiety and take stock of what you have.
Honestly, it sounds like the King of Hyperbole saw a great vlog opportunity, riled her up more and made it more dramatic for the vlog.
She was clearly embarrassed, or else she would have been tweeting about this like crazy while her phone charged.
Hopefully this is a wake up call for her to be more responsible. It won't be, but it'd be great if it was.

Re: DailyHomeImprovements: Part #81
I'd love to see her on some of the horror trips I've taken or dropped off somewhere with no phone or wallet and see how she'd handle it. I mean even if her phone completely died and she had no charger whatsoever, she could have went to any store and asked to borrow their store phone. She could have had Bryan wire her some money if the airport was close by a western union or Walmart. She could have requested a free glass of water from any of the restaurants. She also could have probably told her sob story to a restaurant employee and they might have slipped her some free food. I know a few times I've bought people's food when they've come through the drive thru and forgotten a wallet (nothing outrageous, just like a burger and drink). She was totally fine in that airport.100midas wrote:So all that carrying on was over a flight change and a phone charger?

Re: DailyHomeImprovements: Part #81
Jeeez missy really cant go anywhere without someone with her..lost her wallet again, no money, battery low etc. She almost had a mini break down in the airport. She needs to toughen up she's incapable of doing anything herself and when she comes to the first obstacle when things go a bit wrong she breaks down. Missy! Get a grip!...

I would cry if I lost my wallet and couldn't charge my phone as well. It is kind of sad and ditzy of her.

Re: DailyHomeImprovements: Part #81
I can understand why she cried. If she already had anxiety about traveling alone, she was probably imagining being stranded with no money and no way to contact someone to help her. I would have cried to! ...... that being said, she's a grown woman and needs to be more responsible lol this seems like it may be a learning opportunity for her though.

Re: DailyHomeImprovements: Part #81
But she could charge her phone. She had the charging cable she just couldn't find the outlet at first and left the port at Kelsey's mom's house. I think that airport also has free charging stations where you just plug your phone into a provided cable charger. Some Starbucks also have wireless charging that Missy probably could have used. I'm also sure someone would have gave her some food or let her borrow their charger if she would have asked. I've provided both to people before in situations like hers.MommaLindsey2 wrote:I would cry if I lost my wallet and couldn't charge my phone as well. It is kind of sad and ditzy of her.

Re: DailyHomeImprovements: Part #81
Maybe I'm missing something, but how did she pay for the car back?
Re: DailyHomeImprovements: Part #81
I agree, but she's a mom of two kids. She needs to get it together. I feel like these are the things that you learn when you graduate high school and become an adult. You learn how to be responsible for your belongings and how to travel without your parents. I guess you miss those life lessons when you graduate from high school and immediately get married.Theirmom wrote:I understand Missy crying. I cry at stupid frustrations all the time.
