I can't believe she actually gave Hannah crap for being on her phone.

For me at least it makes sense that Bryan would want to speak more at a YT panel. Missy does nothing for YT. Would we expect to hear Ellie talk about "the business?" Its all Bryan's thing. Sure in the beginning they made it look like it was Missy, but that was just a con because they were following other YTer's models. It's clearly mostly Bryan IMO.

Yeah I agree Bryan isn't a bad guy. His ego is huge, but I think his heart is in the right place. Sure, the horse ranch scam was very shady and low of them but other than that he seems like an OK person.

OT but does anyone know how soon they got pregnant with Baby Boy Lanning after they got back together? I think it was kind of irresponsible of them to decide to get pregnant so soon after a divorce. It probably didn't give them enough time to work through their problems imo.

I had this written down in my FAQ draft (one day I'll get back to that and post it). I don't remember the exact timeline but it was pretty damn quick.

Well she gave birth to him September 2011 so pretty damn quick because they got back together in April and she was 20 weeks when she delivered him. I could be off on my timing though.

For me at least it makes sense that Bryan would want to speak more at a YT panel. Missy does nothing for YT. Would we expect to hear Ellie talk about "the business?" Its all Bryan's thing. Sure in the beginning they made it look like it was Missy, but that was just a con because they were following other YTer's models. It's clearly mostly Bryan IMO.

I get that, but even going back and rewatching it now.. the interviewer asks "How did it change your life?" Missy starts talking about her life "I was an office manager in a little tiny office.. " and shes MID SENTENCE and Bryan cuts her off and starts with "I waited tables for SEVEN YEARS.. I waited tables..blah blah people stop us and we are so famous!!" (condensed version lol) It's like the second the attention in on Missy he grabs it right back to him, like oh you worked in an office? WELLL IIIIIII waited tables.... When she asks Missy how SHE feels about the album he talks over her several times. I know in the longer version there were even more times that he did it. And i do agree that he should talk about the business side of it, he has no right to jump in over her when someone asks her how she feels about something or how her life has changed... (that part especially got me, he doesn't even let her finish before he has to jump in and talk about himself. He could have at least let her finish her sentence. It was just horribly rude and self serving.) Missy looks annoyed AF the whole time.

That was Gabriel, he was born at 20 weeks in Sept 2012, their first baby boy was miscarried at 10 weeks in February 2012 (he was conceived in December 2011)

But we've seen Missy control Bryan in literally every other instance in his life. Dude lives with a Narcissist that won't even give him an ounce of attention, not even on his birthday. Clearly he has issues, but I don't think they come from a place of wanting to control Missy. I think the guy is beyond needy and desperate for some form of recognition and he saw an opportunity to finally shine.

I guess I just see the Missy/Bryan dynamic as being moe a shame for Bryan, than it is for Missy. I've said Thetis about Jared and I believe it applies to Bryan as well. I think he could have been a better person had he chose a better partner. Missy I think was always meant to be an ungrateful, miserabke sloth just like her mother.

I completely get what you are saying, and maybe i should cut Bryan some slack about it, bc you are right, he grovels at her feet 99% of the time. It just came off as insanely rude and off putting to me and ive never forgotten it. I havent forgotten about him buying her earrings for his birthday either, and her acting like they were dog turds in a fancy box. There is a whole lot of unhealthy relationship red flags with them..

There is more than one way to be a nasty person! Missy and Bryan are not bad people because they actively act mean and nasty (except on Twitter occasionally to their 10 y/o fans, it seems). But, in my opinion anyway, they are the sort of people who are bad because they fail to be good people.

Things like Missy not ever telling Bryan she loves him, never posting about him on social media but posting about all her other friends and family. Not ever thanking viewers unless they are simultaneously asking them to do or buy something. Being extremely wasteful with money, material possessions, the world's resources, food, and careless regarding animals while claiming to love them.

They have complete control over their 12 minutes vlogs and what they show to the world, but somehow from what they do show, the list could go on and on.

Just to weigh in on the whole good people/bad people debate, I don't think they're bad people. They're just very naiive and lazy. Their attitude towards their fame and wealth makes them look selfish, but they seem to be nice enough people. They hide a lot of things but they aren't malicious or shady. I can't speak on their relationships with their friends since who knows how many are real friends and how many are payroll friends? But they seem to treat them well either way.

Where are you getting the remarried date of 2011? I know they are lying liars who lie, but their draw my life made it seem that they divorced shortly after getting married. I think Missy later clarified that they broke up after not even a year together. And they were only apart for 4 or 5 months. That would make it only 2010 at the latest that they got 'remarried'.

Or am I missing some key piece of info?

So the Lumps go out for breakfast before church....to eat the same food they could have eaten at home The most annoying thing is Finn's nose running and Missy never wipes it!! She also didn't wash his hands after he was playing in the garbage....EWWWW!! I can guarantee he must do that a lot since right now Missy is actually watching him since he didn't take his nap!! So Missy and Bryan are busy with the lego car...Finn is seen taking off with the mop stick and you hear a loud noise but neither Missy or Bryan attend to him....like it's just ridiculous at this point, they should really hire a nanny to watch the boys - they might end up eating properly and learning to speak correctly as well!!

Ollie took a nap in the room with the light on and it was such a mess....there was also clothes lying on the floor in the hallway....why are they so sloppy when they have no excuse for a messy house? They go to the roller park and Finn is sitting on the floor playing with someone's roller blades....that is beyond disgusting...first off those shoes have been worn by numerous sweaty feet and that poor little boy is on the floor underneath a table which I'm sure hasn't been cleaned in forever!!

Bryan looks like a giant sweaty mess trying to roller blade....it's so sad that he has no athletic skills what so ever...I really hope the boys get bigger and drag him out to play some sports so he can at least learn how to do something productive!! They need 3 adults to help Ollie roller blade?? REALLY?? Bryan kissing Missy's ass like always....we don't need to see you praise her in every stinking vlog....it's seriously obnoxious how much you obsess over the lazy slobby wife of yours!!

not to be too philosophical, but they are being bad people in my eyes. at least currently.

they are selling their kids´ privacy for money and basically owe everything they have to them. they are living a consumerist, wasteful lifestyle, do not care about the environment (I don´t need to repeat why, it has been said so many times on this board before) or about anything else than what happens to themselves and their closest family/friends.
WORST of all, they are promoting and spreading this ego-centric, boxed way of thinking between millions of young and impressionable minds.

then again, being "good" means something else to different people. meh.

They were officially divorced April 15, 2010 per court records. The amount of time they were apart is fuzzy, in the Draw my Life they said their marriage started having problems around their first anniversary (so August 2009). They said they were separated (living apart) for four months before getting divorced, that they hadn't spoken in months before reconnecting after the divorce, and Missy says they were apart for 4 months. (Side note, they mention that Bryan got an apartment and Missy moved back in with her parents, for whoever was wondering about that earlier)

However, Missy says in the "50 facts about me" video that they were separated for 5 months before the divorce, and only officially divorced one month before "getting back together" and were remarried April fools day. Unless she's lying, it would have to be April 1st, 2011, because you can't get remarried before you are officially divorced.
