I don't know how the school system works in the Us, but could it be possible that she had very bad grades so she knew she couldn't have graduated? (she would have had to repeat the year)

Well usually they are easy on them. I've seen teachers be more lenient on them. And sometimes I've seen girls just get the work sent to their house so at least they're still going to school from home. At least that's how it is where I'm from.

It truly baffles me as to why she quit high school so soon after finding out she was pregnant? She could have graduated well before Levi was born. I wish she would answer that as a comment of the day question. I'm actually interested in hearing her reasoning behind it all. I'm thinking maybe she lost a lot of friends because of the whole stealing her best friends boyfriend and perhaps she couldn't face being at school pregnant for him. I'd really love to know though.
I remember reading somewhere or hearing her say that her school didn't "allow" pregnant girls or something. i think she went to a public school so that doesn't really make sense to me. & in the "secret private graduation" video she was barley starting to show. She could have finished high school without people knowing she was pregnant. Sure they would have speculated, but she could have just kept it to herself and did what she had to do. But then again, I understand what it's like to at that age, and it was probably hard on her with all that "drama." Not that any of that even matters once you graduate. I believe they found out about the pregnancy in March? & she only had 2 months left of her senior year?

However I also remembering hearing her say something about how she regrets not being able to graduate because it was hard for her to finish up online. I wish she would have just paid the consequence and finished up online so she can get on with her life!

I know a girl who got pregnant when she was 19 or 20, she took a year off (after delivering her son) and the year after she passed competitive tests and entered in Business school, (that's where I met her actually, we entered the same school, the same year). The first year in my school means around 45 hours/week of classes to validate the bachelor degree and for the master degree you have a certain number of credits to validate by going to classes and also being part of an event (She and I worked together with UNICEF for example and we were working a lot to organize everything while going to classes and doing our homework) and finally, to get this degree (on top of writting a master thesis) we need to go at least 6 months abroad and she did all this while raising a young child! So I am sorry but I don't get how Kyra didn't try to at least graduating from high school, is it so difficult to obtain you high school degree in the US??

PS I asked her how she was doing to take care of everything and she told me she was doing it for her child (I highly respect her for that!)

I see A LOT of kyra in this picture!
The eyes especially.

And as far as oscars big nose. Idk.
Kyra has a long pointed nose too.
So only time will tell. She could <hopefully > get kyras nose!

Wow that is great! Although not everyone can be capable of doing that much to be honest. But that does not mean Kyra isn't even capable of finishing high school and taking one class at a time. A part of me thinks that she doesn't believe in "baby steps." She may think by doing a little bit at a time, she will never reach her goal. That can be really discouraging.

I don't get it, I found out I was pregnant and I had just over two months left of college left (I'm in the uk so college for us is like an extension of high school you do till you are 18/19) I didn't quit I made sure I took my exams and finished so that when the time is right I have options my little boy is 8 weeks old and I can go on and do something to better the life for my child, I just don't understand why you wouldn't especially when she had so little time left to complete

Kyra has stated before that she was already slacking off on school and not showing up before she even found out she was pregnant so I think she realised she wouldn't be able to graduate with her class and stopped caring. Also, at least where I am in the U.S., if you miss a lot of school without a legitimate excuse you face certain consequences such as not being able to graduate or getting your driver's permit/license revoked. Then her school had an online program so she tried doing that while living in Montana with a newborn but she couldn't keep up with it. When Oscar quit his job they said that Kyra wanted to focus on getting her GED since she couldn't graduate and Oscar wanted to get his real estate license just like his dad. Neither one of these things have been mentioned again or have been done, it's ridiculous. Youtube isn't going to last forever and if they really want to have 4-5 kids then they're going to have to find alternate ways to provide for them. Like somebody else mentioned, without a high school degree/GED not even McDonald's would hire Kyra. I think her only job before has been nannying and that wouldn't count as a job on a resume so she's got nothing to back her up. I really wish they would devote these next few years to getting proper careers while doing youtube on the side and then maybe focus on growing their family more.

Guess their priorities are babies and buying a house. They're going to be really busy to even enjoy the moment. I don't see the rush.
LOL no rush? Tell that to them when youtube falls thru, they run out of money and cant provide for their family and are stuck living on minimum wage barely getting by..or what about being an example for their kids? they should profit now while they still can. before their 15 mins of fame are over.

Of course, I don't expect Kyra to do the same (my friend did great and work really hard but she has the motivation to succeed and when you think you can do something generally you will) but you know, when I see what some persons are able to do in the same situation as Kyra was, it's hard to understand why she is not even trying to get her high school degree... Maybe you're right she is not able to do it little by little, maybe she is just looking at her "goal" and see a mountain between so she is discouraged but that's not with this kind of mindset that she will succeed and for her children she should have the motivation to do more. Or maybe she wants to be a SAHM, but in that case O and K should come to an aggreement and Oscar should get a degree in something. I remember that Oscar wanted to be a real estate agent, what happens? I think that will always be my main problem about them (and also other youtubers who rely only on the youtube income, they should all have a back up plan especially when they are as young as OK without real professionnal experience).

Yes I deff do agree they need a back up plan. They are so blessed to have YouTube as their career for right now, they really should take advantage of it. All youtubers in that case. Especially because they have children. Even if Kyra does want to be a SAHM a mom, she should still invest her life into something because when the kids start going to school, she will not be as busy. Maybe that's what they're waiting for, for the kids to start school. But I think they should start taking the basic classes so that when they get to the intermediate classes, they will have more time to focus on them and be done faster. I understand if they want to put more focus into their classes, and it's hard with the kids, but tbh community college classes are not THAT hard. Esp online. Kyra has a planner. She can use it to balance out her time. I've heard Kyra reads here. Kyra PLEASE TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOUR OPPORTUNITIES! IM NOT HATING, ITS FOR YOUR OWN GOOD! I ONLY WANT THE BEST FOR YOUR FAMILY!

I'm not one to nitpick (usually) but it really made me feel some type of way when OK didn't show Alaya's face for some days. Like they're huge celebrities trying to hide her from the paparazzi.

And Levi forward facing makes me cringe. And the fact they're doing it because Korina did it and "she's raised 4 kids and they turned out okay!" BUT MORE STUDIES HAVE BEEN DONE. Smfh. Turn that boy back around.

I just did a whole research paper on rear facing and kids should be rear facing until 3-4. Seeing him flipped now terrifies me.

OK should get Levi a dolly so he has a baby of his own and OK can teach Levi how to be with the baby and practice being gentle without worrying that the worst will happen. But I'm sure O won't allow that because dolls are girl girls and it will take away both their masculinity, *eye roll*
