Re: Steps to Wander
In my experience the most engaged, attentive parents are also the type of people who are hard-working and passionate in other areas of their lives. And then there are the women like Kelsey and Missy, who never really apply themselves and never follow through, but somehow think parenthood is going to come easy and finally give them a purpose and something worthwhile to do. I really believe Kelsey thinks it's going to be all sunshine and rainbows. If either one of them truly appreciated the gravity of what it means to be parents, they wouldn't choose to start that journey when they were living on the road without steady income or a place to live. She's in for a rude awakening when she realizes it's way harder and more challenging than any full time job she could have imagined. If she's so rigid that she starts to cry at the prospect of having to have an IV in during labor, she's going to be majorly disappointed to learn you don't get to choose your birth experience and some things are out of your control.

100 thumbs up! These two are going to be a mess as new parents. I feel like they are still playing house and so dependent on outside resources just to get through the day. They don't even grocery shop on a regular basis. What happens when June is out of diapers at 2 a.m.??HashtagBlessed wrote:In my experience the most engaged, attentive parents are also the type of people who are hard-working and passionate in other areas of their lives. No need to apologize. I get what you were saying, her perceived "issues." She definitely needs to learn to trust the medical providers and balance that with her wants and needs. She also need to recognize that so much of it is out of her control.ewokfan11 wrote:Sorry, I meant she's complained A LOT about her healthcare providers and seems to think they are all out to get her - and she hates hospitals. You'd think she'd trust them a bit more.Nothankyou wrote:Except she doesn't have any healthcare issues. She would never survive the high risk pregnancies I've endured including a stillbirth at 23 weeks due to a fatal heart defect of my baby.ewokfan11 wrote:I really do think she's going to have a meltdown after the baby arrives. She's used to not doing anything - literally at all! She doesn't work, cook, put furniture together, walk the dog, leave the house, grocery shop, drive anywhere - does she even contribute to editing the vlogs?? All we see her do is sit on the couch or go eat at a nearby restaurant or complain about her healthcare issues.
It's going to be a rude awakening when she has a newborn and actually has to function as an adult!!

I was so annoyed watching her freak out over test results she hadn't even received. Seriously like an IV and antibiotics would be the end of the world. It'd be worse to have Group B strep and not get treated and have your baby end up with an infection or meningitis because of it. Although Kelsey strikes me as the type who'd deny the antibiotics because of her personal preferences.

This! Also I cannot stand when FTM get their hopes up for the perfect birth. Having high expectations pretty much garuntees that you will be dissapointed. You can only plan labor and delivery to a point...80 percent of it is beyond your control. I think she will rethink the natural birth plan after 2 contractions ... her in transition as someone said earlier will be a shit show. It feels like your being run over by a freight train over and over..some can do it but she doesnt seem like the strong willed type.Nothankyou wrote:No need to apologize. Also...corbin calling her "my love " and baby talking her gets on my nerves so bad. Cringe city. And she just reminds me of a bootleg Missy. I barely watch and each time I do I try to like them but they are just not my cup of tea. They are extremely immature for their ages.

Re: Steps to Wander
when are these two entitled fucks due to have their baby? people are speculating missy's waiting for their kid to be born before she announces her pregnancy... so i'm gonna need to know dates to start a mental countdown or something. this is the most fun i've had on this board in years, lmao.

Re: Steps to Wander
They need to shut up with this "getting labor started" and "I hope she goes into labor" soon nonsense when she's still two weeks away from her due date. I know channels experience a spike in views leading up to births and it's a money making opportunity to tease it out as much as possible, but they sound so immature and ridiculous, per usual.

I cannot stand this whole rush to get this baby out. She is obviously taking a page out of Missy's book. Re: Steps to Wander
Paris is the cutest little pup..
I never had a changing table either and never missed it. I had a basket that was full of supplies and a waterproof changing pad that we put on the couch or in the floor.
I really do understand that they are excited and anxious for June to be here, but they really need to stop.

Re: Steps to Wander
It's Corbin who's pushing the labor thing. Kelsey seems like she wants it to happen more naturally. It's probably exacerbating her anxiety that Corbin keeps talking about going into labor.Playsinrain wrote: I cannot stand this whole rush to get this baby out. Re: Steps to Wander
Estimated date of delivery: March 7th according to their ultrasound at 8 weeks. Maybe the reason Corbin is pushing Juniper to be born in February is because Corbin said "all my family has their birthdays in the first 10-12 days of March. Like literally four or five" and that March 7th is his older brother's birthday.
I hope she goes to 42 weeks. Just because..

Re: Steps to Wander
Yep, can you imagine if she had to be induced? And get an IV?!westwuff wrote: I hope she goes to 42 weeks. Just because..
She really needs to get over that fear. My six year old nephew didn't even cry when he had to get an IV
Re: Steps to Wander
I don't think Kelsey will be able to handle a natural birth. She seems like a very nervous/high anxiety type of person who won't be able to handle that pain.

Re: Steps to Wander
I wonder if Corbin runs Kelsey's social media too? She's posting on Twitter about being impatient and tired of being pregnant.
Re: Steps to Wander
She's probably just sick of hearing him go on about how he "knows" she's going to be early... I heard once that dreams about babies are the opposite. If you dream about a boy, you'll have a girl; so, if you dream about going early, you'll be overdueHashtagBlessed wrote:I wonder if Corbin runs Kelsey's social media too? Re: Steps to Wander
If they keep posting videos about her going into labor, im going to start praying that she goes over. While 38 weeks isnt that bad, it's still better for her to be in thete for at least another week.
Though i do want to see the shitshow that will be them inconvienced by a newborn. I think that will make their boring vlogs better.

Unless there's a miracle change in their way of doing things, it is going to be hilarious. Definitely schadenfreude for all their whining up until now. They think life has inconvenienced them so far? Wait until a tiny human is dependent on them for every need.usernamessuck wrote:If they keep posting videos about her going into labor, im going to start praying that she goes over. Re: Steps to Wander
I wonder if Hello Fresh actually gets new subscribers from YT brand deals. I think it's an OK idea, but it's sort of expensive, you don't really control what they send and the minimum is three meals a week (for two people, so $60). It just doesn't seem worth it to me, but SO many YTers have done brand deals with them. One of this week's meals was a honey ginger glazed chicken - and I already have more than half the ingredients, so it would be a waste to spent $20 for things I already have.
I guess we are in for about 2-3 weeks of "BABY'S COMING RIGHT NOW" and related clickbait titles and a LOT more complaining.

yeah, like I get wanting to meet your baby as soon as possible but why on earth wouldn't you want it to fully develop first? lolPlaysinrain wrote:I cannot stand this whole rush to get this baby out. They are sponsoring a ton of podcasters, too. For me, once I realize it's an ad I completely dismiss it, esp if it's over saturated. I wonder if many ppl are like me?

Re: Steps to Wander
I speculated a few weeks ago that Corbin was working for a Portland religious non-profit based on the fact that a Corbin Scott was listed as their communications coordinator on their staff page. Corbin mentioned today that he was helping to implement a new design for his company's website and I noticed that this particular religious non profit has a new website. Hmm
If he's a part-time admin assistant for a 501c3, they are *really* putting all their eggs in the YouTube basket. I still think they're only making something around $1.5k to $3k monthly from YouTube, which would be a decent second income if Corbin had a higher paying job or they both worked. They'll definitely be making more on YouTube now that they're on "baby watch" but it will probably drop back down after the novelty wears off. I think they'll continue to get a bump from Missy appearances and her pushing viewers to their channel, but I don't think they put enough effort into their videos for people to stick around. They're either spending everything they earn and saving nothing, or they're on the Lannings payroll. Or some combination of the two.
