I can't believe they all just party it up and Jess's all the time.

Maybe the twist is Janelle is taking over their rental? And she's been living there contributing to rent so they can increase their deposit?Mel1011 wrote:Janell posted a snap of wine, Hennessy and fireball whiskey. That doesn't look like Jess' house and it doesn't even look like Jess is with Janell.Mel1011 wrote:Janell posted a snap of wine, Hennessy and fireball whiskey. I don't think it's Jess's house. But seriously, where the hell is Janell's kid?!?!

JesssFam: Facing Reality w/ Daiquiris & Taco Bell (Part 87)
Long time lurker, first time poster.
All this talk of moving and bedrooms makes me realise how much Jess has screwed up her life - she'll never afford a house big enough for all of them especially if she has Baby Skube 2.0. I used to be one of those 15 year olds that wanted to be like her, and looking back I'm so damn glad I didn't go down that route. I'm now 20 and I could not imagine having three kids (that I got pregnant with ON PURPOSE) like she did at my age.
Just had to get that out of my system, carry on...

Allright, so I didn't flip the table exactly, but I still thought "Good god, really?". I feel like I'm the only one that has a real problem with them buying a new house and moving again. Yes a house is a good idea when you have a big family and in general it's a good investment for later (i.e. selling), but how many times have they moved now? It could have waited at least a year more! She managed to live in her Moms cramped house for more than a year paying rent, so whats her problem with a bigger house that she just rents? She moves faster than she gets pregnant. All the way back:
1. From Mom into an apartment with Drake (at least that's what I read, I started watching regularly when pregnant with Landen)
2. Back to Mom, after Drake cheated
3. Into the new house with Drake
4. Back to Mom after Drake left
5. Into the new house last year
6. Into the new house sometime around this year
There is hardly a year gone by without her moving out somewhere else! How the hell does Lilia work with all the different adresses in school? Grandmas house, new house, no wait, the other new house! This girl (Jess) cannot sit still for once! How much money could she have saved for something else (her kids college education, her own maybe?) if she had gone out and gotten a steady job, with which to pay rent and leave the rest of her income alone as much as possible.
The other problem I have with them moving is the income. Again she doesn't think ahead, she thinks they can afford it (and who knows, maybe their parents help out a lot too), so they can buy it, with no degree in sight, no job, apart from youtube. Chris seems to be the only one with a steady job and income, but judging from the timeframe, it must be a pretty hard job, sometimes he's home early, sometimes not until late. As shown last year his Dad died of cancer, life's short Jess! Don't play around with it too much, you're parents won't always be there to catch you!
Of course it's also not very good for the kids, no real stability! This bugs me the most! The way to school changes constantly, they leave all their friends and teachers, at worst, in another part of the state and have to adjust again, after all the adjusting they had to do, because of their Moms chaotic private life and for what? So their Mom can finally say "I own a house, have a husband and 7 beautiful kids and I'm only 25!" and at best they have one room more!

I kind of agree with you actually. Knowing Jess's pattern she and Chris probably won't even be together in 12 months time, and then what is she going to do?Captain Smooth wrote:Allright, so I didn't flip the table exactly, but I still thought "Good god, really?". Re: JesssFam: Facing Reality w/ Daiquiris & Taco Bell (Part
Gosh, Jess would NEVER survive where I live. Properties here are on average one million for a crappy 3 bedroom house.
Re: JesssFam: Facing Reality w/ Daiquiris & Taco Bell (Part
I really think Chris might have gotten some kind of inheritance with his dad passing. Otherwise they would have brought when they got married? Or if her YouTube money was so good, she would have brought sooner? I've always felt like they have never been able to afford huge purchases because they spend it all on Disney and etsy and taco bell.
Re: JesssFam: Facing Reality w/ Daiquiris & Taco Bell (Part
In don't know how inheritances work, but wouldn't get Chris' mum the money first?
I think buying a house is a smart decision. Again, I don't know how it works in the US, but where I live the monthly mortgage payment is usually as much as you would pay for rent, so their monthly spendings wouldn't change. The only risk is the down payment and that it is a bigger commitment, but in the end they own a house, that's a good thing for the kids future!

Re: JesssFam: Facing Reality w/ Daiquiris & Taco Bell (Part
That's true, she really needs Chris to stick around for a long time, especially if they have to pay mortgage for their fancy house. I think, if she would get on with her college degree even half the time she used to go last year and they decided to buy a house, I would see it as less problematic. The way things are now, she's stuck with 5 children, that will need a lot more money as time goes on, a husband that she has to pray sticks around for quite some time (and who probably pays childsupport) and no plan b if something goes unexpectetly wrong and they can't afford to live in that house anymore. Where I live it's really expensive to rent a house, let alone buy one. I know a family who "owns" a house, but they bought everything, right down to the car on lots of loans, that they have to pay off for the next 20-something years. If that's even close to what Jess and Chris did, it's much more difficult than it seems first.soma31 wrote:I kind of agree with you actually. I live in FL and bought my first house last year (I'm 21 go me ). It's a 2 bed 2 bath 2 car garage and was $70,000. Cheaper than any rental. There are different types of loans, some you need 20% down, some you need only 1-3% down and some, if you are low - moderate income, you don't need anything down, just need to pay for appraisal/inspection and possibly some closing costs.

Re: JesssFam: Facing Reality w/ Daiquiris & Taco Bell (Part
Not that I want to beat the dead horse that you all hate but I wasn't on the forum when the last "who should sleep where" fest happened and I kinda want to get my bit in on it because being an only child I never had to deal with it & I want a large family so I often think about this:
Lilia should be on her own, 100%. If AdRev gets put in with her it'll just be chaotic, Lily is getting older and in the room tour Jessssssss posted she had a LOT of hiding places for things "to keep her brothers out", and I can only imagine the novelty of having a sister will wear off if they have to share a bedroom.
Kyson and Kaden should share. I second what another poster said about their bond - they've been together from day one. My friend is a twin and her parents split her and her sister up into separate rooms when they were 7 - and they ended up sleeping in each other's rooms anyway because they liked being together. There's no issue with the twins having the same room at all.
Tommy and Caden should share but I also think their room should be dual purpose i.e. Have desk space and serve as a homework room or something (though Jesssss has been looking at playroom stuff on pinterest so maybe she has a spare room in mind for that already?)
Landen should share with Addelyn. Landen seems to adore her and they're probably going to be super close, as well as them basically already sharing a room/bed now. PLUS when they reach an age where it's "inappropriate" (i.e. if they want to have their partners over, puberty etc), then by that time there's a chance Lilia might not be at home anymore so one of them can move to her room, or if she's still at home then Addie could THEN share with her. As you get older an age gap matters less and they'll probably be close when Lilia's in her late teens and Addie's hitting 10/11.

Because banks are making risky loans again. And we all know how well that worked out last time.smom12 wrote:All I wanna know is, how the hell do you get a mortgage putting YouTube as a career?????

Oops I just assumed that it was Jess' house because of the tile countertops. I think her daughter is with jess because she posted a snap of her with the kids earlier and she was in PJs.

I'm curious about how she'll be able to pay for her mortgage for the next at least ten years with her declining YouTube channel income.
