There's literally nothing wrong with eating on paper plates especially when you have a big family with a lot of young children. I grew up on paper plates lol. But personally for me there's certain foods that taste better on a paper plate than a real one. Also real silverware makes food taste funny so I usually use plastic. I know when I was a kid I wouldn't eat of my food touched so my mom would often separate it on different dishes so there's another reason to use them

It is very wasteful, it takes very little time to load a dish washer

dishwashers & handwashing waste water & energy so the carbon footprint isn't that great either.

I'm English and I've only ever had food on a paper plate for parties, I don't know anyone who uses them regularly for every day food. In England we don't pay extra to recycle it's included in our council tax bills which goes toward rubbish collection and also includes other services such as schools, road maintenance, street lighting

I just had to come here and read what you guys thought of her latest video.

I actually thought it was less annoying than most. Have y'all noticed how shes videoing Addie less and the other kids more since we all posted on her video about it?? Lol. Guess she got the hunt.

Lilia seems like a very annoying child. I can't stand her voice, it's like nails on a chalkboard. And the way she's always dancing around. Girl, please.....go sit your ass down somewhere.

I agree Landen is super adorable. Kyson is too. He is my favorite.

Jess needs to make her eyebrows a shade or two darker than her hair. That shade of red just looks.....weird.

And my last thought is that I would lose my mind if I had that many little kids to look after. I mean, I have 4 kids myself but they range in age from 11 to 5 months. So they are spaced out. 6 kids full time (counting Janells kid bc she is always there) age 7 and under??? I would lose my shit.

Oh and Janell is ugly as hell.

Im american (alabama) and i dont know anyone who is lazy enough to use paper plates daily. Like everyone else has said those are for parties, not daily use.. its not a european thing, its a common sense thing..

Same. I'm also an American and I've very rarely seen people use them on a regular basis. It makes sense to use them if you've just moved somewhere new or are having a get together but all day every day I've rarely seen.

Also yes, as an American woman, Americans are super wasteful, entitled and flat out stupid when it comes to anything ecological

A lot of people that I know use paper plates, I think it's because we were all told we'd be fined if we didn't use less water so we all said screw the dishwasher lol.

Here (Italy) it's included in our bill, and so is the minimum non recyclable amount of rubbish one is supposed to produce. We pay extra for every kilogram of non recyclable rubbish we produce, and we get fined if too much recyclable stuff is found in there

It's not as simple as water and energy to wash vs. sitting in a dump though. You also have to consider energy and gasoline used in production and transportation. A ceramic plate or bowl uses energy to produce, then the gas to transport it to the store, to your home, and then the energy required to clean it. A paper plate requires energy to produce, gas to transport to the store, to your home, and to the landfill, where it takes up space to decompose. Sounds pretty similar, except since you're repurchasing paper plates much more often, the energy used in production and gasoline for transportation is much higher than for a regular plate which you use for years

You wouldn't choose to throw away your clothes after one use instead of using a washing machine, even though you would save energy and water by not using a washing machine. That choice is probably more motivated by out of pocket cost rather than environmental impact, but it's the same idea

...with that said, I wonder if the paper plates could be because they're moving soon
