No shade to anyone that lives in California / Modesto... maybe it's just the houses Jessica picks... but damn... They all have zero curb appeal. They genuinely look like drug houses to me and about as ghetto as you get. I never see houses like that where I live except in the extremely low income areas / halfway houses....

I watch a ton of youtubers who have told stories of people leaving things on their doorstep, sending them take-out pizzas, or waiting outside until they come out

Ya, it sucks for all you tubers. This one youtuber I watch has a FISH left at his house. And i think i read an article about zoella and alfie and how people would wait at their house and try and like jump the fence to see them and get a picture. Honestly I don't think there is anything a youtuber can really do about it, which sucks. And the more popular they get the easier it is to find their address. Roman Atwood's address (he has like 20 million followers between 2 channels) can be fond with just a google search!Hershey821 wrote:oh gosh that is so scarywhattheactual wrote:Ehh, it's not just jess. JesssFam: Facing Reality w/ Daiquiris & Taco Bell (Part 87)
Modesto is definitely ghetto trash, that's for sure. There are actually some really pretty houses, so I think it's the ones that Jessica picks. I wouldn't be surprised if the house she lived in with Drake and her current home were drug houses. The exterior looks super run down and nasty. The house she just bought isn't any better either. The exterior is absolutely horrendous. I think all of the homes she's lived in/is living in are in bad areas. There are some pretty houses, though and Jessica could find a nice one for a good price if she actually looked. Like these. The second one reminds me of Phil and Claire's house on Modern Family honeybear wrote:No shade to anyone that lives in California / Modesto... maybe it's just the houses Jessica picks... but damn... But as I was looking on Zillow for homes in Modesto, I found a new development called Rose Park and the houses are gorgeous! They're making affordable homes from the low $300,000's to the low $400,000's. THEY EVEN MAKE A 6 BEDROOM HOME FOR $419,990. I guess they know that the people in Modesto are baby breeders Seriously, I think this would have been a perfect choice for Jessica. She's a stay at home mom, so the building process would be perfect for her because the meetings to decide on things are usually held during the hours that the kids are in school. And she could customize the house to fit her needs with their 7 children. She said that the house they just bought is going to be their "forever home". It was built in 1989. I'm not trying to say anything bad about fixer uppers at all, but there is no way Jessica could handle a fixer upper. And Chris doesn't seem like the type either. They need something where all the work is already done for them. That house is 28 years old and it hasn't been upgraded at all. Fixer uppers are wonderful if you can take on the challenge and you're committed, Jess and Chris are the right people. Click on this link: http://florsheimhomes.com/community/rose-park/ scroll down until you see the largest home, "The Haven" and scroll down until you see the floorplan. I was looking at the pictures of the model home on Zillow and it may be the cutest "beach inspired" house I've ever seen.

Go on realtor.com, search recently sold houses in Modesto, (hint: the house has just over 2,000 square feet) and blue carpet. Don't forget about the blue carpet.lynnd wrote:Where are you guys finding her house?

Meh it's not just as easy as buying a house in the city over from you because it's cheaper and the house appears nicer. Idk if it's different for different states or something but where I live (Southern California) it's not that simple. There will be an area/city that is really nice and then the city right next door has a reputation with gangs & tons of crime. We could afford a giant brand new home in riverside but choose to live in our tiny expensive place in a very nice city.
I don't blame her at all for buying based on location if it's true how she said they chose the place based on the area being a little nicer.

Even though Chris is very close to Landen I would hope he would consider adopting Kyson and Kaden too. Imagine how the twins would feel if he just adopted Landen.gr4ceful wrote:He wouldn't have to pay child support eithershilohjulia wrote:I'm surprised Chris hasn't tried to legally adopt Landen yet. I wonder if Drake would be ok with that. Probably not. He would actually have to sign all parental rights away. It's weird that he really doesn't seem to want anything to do with his sons yet I still don't think he'd actually relinquish parental rights.

Ah. Similar, but not quite. Thanks for posting a pic of their real house.Hershey821 wrote:No it isn't the house it's this one Chatabox wrote:
Isn't this the house she lived in with Drake? It's just sold too. Lol!

Hahaha the first photo of that house shows a bar. So we know where Janelle will be. I think it's a nice first house. Of course I also think she's an idiot for thinking she will live there for more than a year...

I'm hoping Jess focus on paying her house off in at least 5 years, and invest in a bigger one later, the kids will need their own space, if she puts 300k down, it'll be easier to pay the next one, considering YouTube isn't paying anymore, or her channel doesn't make a living, she could rely on Chris, or God knows, her next husband.

Thank you, I was thinking the same. Renting, yeah maybe, until you have saved up enough to actually buy a nicer house, but if this really is the house they've bought, dude! Her current house looks a lot better than that thing with the metal fence around it! Gonna be fun when the children get there to see it and they'll bump against that thing! I see a lot of ER trips in the future. No, I can't warm up to the idea of her being a home "owner", especially to this ugly thing! Sorry to anybody who lives like that, don't be offended, it's just...she could do better than that, especially if she would not act so rash all the time! Even if she managed to pay off every little bit, so the house really is hers/theirs, how much could she ever sell this for, doesn't look like it would be sold easily? God, I feel like I'm gonna go on a critic-spree for the next few monthshoneybear wrote:No shade to anyone that lives in California / Modesto... maybe it's just the houses Jessica picks... but damn... What's the point of paying off a house, if you don't plan on staying there longer then the payment lasts? You could stay in a rented house just as well then...I don't get it.emlyx wrote:I'm hoping Jess focus on paying her house off in at least 5 years, and invest in a bigger one later, the kids will need their own space, if she puts 300k down, it'll be easier to pay the next one, considering YouTube isn't paying anymore, or her channel doesn't make a living, she could rely on Chris, or God knows, her next husband.

Never thought I'd say thia but ever so slightly envious of Jess tbh.. I'd love to have my own home with my kid but the cheapest price round here is like 700 per month (rent) without bills etc.. and I'm working two jobs and it's still a struggle..

Yea, I live in Jacksonville.catsmeow3 wrote:Off topic: You live near Orange Park? I live right near there too. I feel like Modesto is more trashy though. I could be wrong...gemmie wrote:I have a shithole of a city close to me in FL called Orange Park that I can imagine is like Modesto. As if Jess' situation isn't depressing enough, she's stuck there technically until Landon's 18, right? I wonder if she ever dreamt of moving away from Modesto. Did this girl have any dreams or goals besides baby making?

I am not a moderator, but I'm pretty sure that it's against the rules to post the link/address of the house.Shawn2011 wrote:Hahaha the first photo of that house shows a bar.
