I personally don't see anything wrong with the house being outdated right now. Her kids are little, and if I was in her shoes I would wait in renovating until they all got older. Throw some rugs down, and call it a day. I would hate to spend money on flooring only to have it ruined by the time addy got to be older.

They probably got a good deal, and that's smarter than buying all their wants and likes for a huge cost.

I wont post her address but it's easily found as it was just sold. She lives about a mile from her mother's house. I had a relative who live on the same street. Tract homes give in away. Anyways i'm bias but I don't think this is a very good area of Modesto..

Yeah I think it's definitely a nicer house than the pictures online showed lol. I actually love the downstairs layout.. I think the room off the kitchen could totally be a playroom (so she can see kids while cooking and stuff) and keep the room by the front door as the main family living room. It really is pretty spacious BUT still gonna be tight with 5/7 kids.

If I were her the first thing I would do is rip out those cabinets, replace the fixtures, and tear out the carpet & tile. But this is Messica, queen of dirt, lord of grime and empress of amniotic fluid so she'll probably just put up some curtains, bolt a crib into her walk-in closet and call it a day.

Honestly normally I wouldn't come off as so rude but she has made so much money with YouTube if she was going to buy a cheaper house, why wouldn't she save for renos too?
Those floors ugh, idk why but tile scares me more than hardwood. I can just picture someone smacking their head.
Idk I like that she finally got a house, I just wish she had been smarter about it I guess?
Also she has GAINED SO MUCH WEIGHT. She looks pregnant still.

Maybe it's a regional thing but a lot of homes here have tile. I don't like it either but the cost of demo and installing carpet will be crazy. I don't she saved any money to fix up her home and bring it up to date. At the most we'll see her paint the house.

The blue carpet has gotta go (even if the shade is pretty, I would prefer that on my wall or my car lol).
The rooms are tiny, good luck grouping 7 kids in 3 rooms! (Technically 5 since C&T aren't there often but still)
Her kitchen/second living area looks like my kitchen/den used to before we put up a wall with a door opening (but no door) between the "two rooms." Having that as a play room for the kids as someone suggested would be good.

I agree. She's an idiot for buying a house when her situation is so unstable, why should she compound her mistake by spending a heap of cash on renovations? Why cares in the cabinets aren't stylish or the floor isn't beautiful - she has a house full of messy kids who ruin everything they touch anyway. She should just leave it as it is for now. Why does everyone need to have an up-to-the-minute show home?

I wanted to bring up the sharing rooms debate.

My sister and I shared a room for majority of our lives and frankly it had more cons than pros. My brother got his own room and I tried to bribe him to trade but he was aware he had the better deal. Finally getting my own room was a god send. But at this stage Jess had more kids than brain cells so she never thought it through. I was lucky the last time we shared it was temporary.

Personally if I was in this situation with two step kids that came once a month (?) I would have

Lilia having her own room
Landen having his own room for now
Twins with the biggest kids room with two bunk beds or two trundle beds so C and T can share.
Addi I would either stick with Landen til she's older and see if she wanted to share with Lilia.

One day Lilia or the twins could easily just ask to live with dad in their teen years to get away and have privacy.

Anyway, the house is nice, definitely needs a lot TLC.
If she wants an idea for that room under the stair I say a book nook. Or pull a Harry Potter and stick a kid in there lol.

I just hope she knows that now she bought a house when shit goes belly up with Chris she can't just haul ass out of there.

I don't think the house is that bad. I can see why the open floor plan on the first floor would appeal to them. I live in an area with a similar climate and a lot of houses here look like that, so I guess I'm used to it (although this one isn't an example of a really nice house, just a regular middle-class house). I do think the bedrooms are pretty small for trying to fit 2 or 3 kids in each. The closets are especially small. How are they going to fit two (or more) kids' worth of clothes in those? Not to mention personal belongings. Like I don't see how you could easily fit two desks in any of those rooms if the kids wanted their own space in their bedroom to do homework, even if they have bunkbeds. The top floor has a very strange layout, or it could just be the fish-eye lens Jessica used. But the first floor is pretty nice.

I mean, if the worst thing someone leaves their childhood saying is they had to share a room then they did OK... Only children wish they had siblings, kids with siblings wish they were only children, girls with curly hair want straight etc etc... You always want what you dont/cant have. This is the most stable Jessica has ever been and honestly I think the room sharing is nitpicky. I have a friend who says she would die before making her kids share a room because she always had to share, my two share a room even though we have a 4 bedroom (and only 2 kids) but they want to share.
The issue with having that many kids is 5 bedroom homes just arent the norm. Either they are in homes that are huge/expensive or they are add ons/in the basement so given that she lives somewhere where basements are uncommon she can't really help the situation... isnt her step-dad handy? Hopefully he can help them out.

I am so so glad this house doesn't have a pool. It made me so nervous that jess had a pool with 7 kids running around. She is way too irresponsible in my opinion for a pool
