I don't really see what the problem with the house being dated is. I'd much rather movie into a house that needs updating and be able to have my own say and put my own spin on things, than move into a house that has been updated (e.g. Cullen and Katie's kitchen) but I don't personally like it. As I couldn't justify ripping out brand new countertops and splash backs whereas I'd have a field day in Jess' house. Although I do doubt she will make any improvements beyond paint and new carpets and perhaps new light fittings, this is Jess we are talking about!

That's the whole point, the problem is not that it's outdated and it needs work, it's that Jess is the one who will have to take care of doing them and it's seems that noone here think she will be able to. Plus I can't imagine how hard it could be for anyone to work on such house with how many young kids she has! it's a lot of work to take care of so many kids but it's also a lot of work to work on such a house...

Alright, watched the house tour. She should have bought a six bedroom house, at the rate she's going with having kids and until him or her get the operation I stand by that statement. If not, still enough room for Tommy and Cade and/or a play room. I'm still not very happy (thought that might change after the house tour), she basically bought a house because of bigger bathrooms and bigger living rooms and more "storage" (don't forget the nice touch). There is not one room more where the kids can sleep in and the pool is gone, I feel she downgraded. I can tell she picked the house because she thought it looked nice, but that's about it, I don't see a big advantage for the kids in there, only for her to buy more useless crap, that she can hide neatly now, because she has more "storage".

By the way, I've got a question: where I live, there is the possibility to rent a house that can also be bought after living in it a certain amount of time (not all houses have that though). Is that a thing in the US? Or is it strictly picking between house renting and house buying? For her it would have been the perfect option to move into a rented house that she could have bought after a while. Everythings already there, no moving, just an aweful lot of paperwork (I'm told).

Oh yeah and about the carpet discussion, I would keep it on the stairs at least as long as she still has toddlers. Maybe it is because I have to lefties as legs, but I always have to be careful not to slip on wooden stairs when I'm at friends houses, because there is absolutely no friction on certain wood types, so especially when you have kids I'd keep it there (you can change the color of course) so there are less accidents. I had a carpet floor in my room when I was little and it helped a lot especially when I fell down and it got replaced when I got into adolescence, so I'd say it should be secondary to Jess. The tile I'm also not too keen on, not only because kids can really injure themselves there, but also it's everywhere, replacing it with something else is again very costly.

I am disappointed with how small the bedrooms are. Like idk what she was thinking. Maybe they just don't take T and C into account because they don't have them that much. I mean they had a room for them before and really how often did that get used? Maybe they will upgrade in a few years when they build up equity.

I'm shocked at how shocked some of you are that she bought an outdated house lol. I've only looked at buying a home once, in south Florida, and for my not so modest budget all I saw was outdated homes. I wanted something move in ready but I quickly realized that just wasn't going to happen. You'd be surprised how much people DON'T renovate lol unless you're buying something brand new. OR a lot of homes were only partially renovated. It's really not all that shocking. Now, I didn't get too far in the process because I came to my senses and realized I didn't want to settle down in FL, but isn't it possible that she left room in her budget for renovations? Like wouldn't it be included as part of her mortgage? I know I hear people doing that on house hunters lol I'm not sure if I'm explaining it right though

i know everyone is talking about the bedrooms, but what about the bathroom?
5/7 kids have to share it. Maybe it will be fine for now, but i can't see 5 teenagers sharing only one bathroom.

Any house in their price range is going to be way too small for them. That's the price you pay when having too many kids, but unfortunately it's the kids that will suffer. They won't be in this house until they're teenagers, don't worry.

As far as the Drake thing, I don't think a father should get props for throwing his kid a birthday party. That's basic decency as a parent. And Jess mentioned the kids being gone on snapchat so she's not trying to hide it like some people think.

Ah! I bought a "fixer upper" 4 years ago and I've done nothing to it except the gardens. Rookie home owner mistake! I'd imagine with that amount of kids no one will have time to do anything to this house either :/

I get discussing the house to a point but some of you are being quite harsh, yes it's a gossip site I know. I must see things differently because personally I'm just happy to have a roof over my head. I was never without but I had to share a room with my mom till I was 8 and then I was actually moved into a large walk in closet that had room for my bed and a dresser. I could have stayed in my mom's room but she knew I was gonna start wanting some privacy. I stayed in there for a few years, I was just happy to have my own space and a bed. I don't look back and think "oh poor me", I actually forgot about the walk in closet until I started reading here. I'm not saying she should make a room out of it but her kids will have to share rooms, they will adjust and as others stated if that's the worst thing about their childhood, that's awesome.
Maybe they will move when the kids are older and just so everyone knows in 15 years some of these new houses are going to look outdated because times change
If you raise your kids to be grateful for what they have, most aren't gonna look back too much and be upset. I'm not saying they won't do it at all just not to the point where it going affect them so terribly into adulthood.

I don't feel there is enough bedroom space at all. I can't imagine as the kids get older. I am about to have 3 kids(all under 6) in a 3 bedroom house that I rent and I'm having anxiety about space as they get older. My two older sons share a room, which is quite big, bigger than the master. So there will be a ton of space with bunk beds, but it will probably only work until my oldest is 10, maybe 12. I guess it depends on his personality.

Sorry if this has been said. I'm in a rush! But why on earth did she use that effect with the camera? It made everything look out of place and I found it really difficult to get a true picture of it. I really think she did it to make the rooms look stretched out and bigger. It's not fooled me!

I'm so happy for landen. I felt sad for him when I thought drake disregarded his birthday.. but I agree that drake should not get any ass pats for throwing him a party. TBH, I have a feeling it was Natalie's doing.

Why don't you have room to talk, just because you're renting? Look at Jess, as I said earlier, I don't see the point in her buying a house that's close to a step below of what she currently rented. I'd say the arrangements as they where with their kids sharing rooms was ok for the moment (I know unpopular opinion) and I thought the whole point of her moving again and buying that house was to get two things done at once: becoming a home-owner and making more space for more kids as they get older. I'd say that was a pretty big fail from that point of view. So don't feel bad, just because you don't have everything planned out yet, because when you do, you most likely take the space your kids need into consideration, which makes for a better house in the end.
Also, I have a friend who had to share a room with her brother since she was little, but as they got older their parents decided to put up a wooden wall in the middle of the room, so that each of them had their private space, not only visually, but they could decorate their part like they wanted and live just like they would next to each other in seperate rooms, so that could be an option as well.

Agreed with you, but I think people give him props knowing he hasn't been in his life much. He should be throwing another for the twins birthday just to be fair, and the twins are older they will know and hold against Drake if he doesn't do anything for them.

Drake must have strike lottery lately. Upgraded his ring for Natalie and throw a birthday party. I will see what happened next...

Well considering we all said, "Jess you're so boring do something exciting." And, "I don't even watch anymore."
She's probably trying to do "exciting" things to milk us for views because she knows we won't fall for her click bait anymore and she actually has to get up from the amniotic couch to get views so honestly that's my bet on why she bought the house.
Or maybe the "hate" finally got to her.

Has anyone thought maybe Jess will put a pull out couch in the playroom for Tommy and Caden?? Honestly I don't think that's an AWFUL idea... it would make things a lot better. She could create some hidden storage for their clothes that blends into the playroom. Although it would suck for them to sleep downstairs by themselves..

Comments talking about having to "gut" the rooms and re-do everything because it's dated are making me laugh. I feel like I'm watching an episode of House Hunters. Not everything is brand new and the latest style, but my goodness, it's functional. The rooms aren't hideous. Not everyone lives in a house with the latest updates. In order to do that you'd have to completely re-do your kitchen and bathrooms at least every 10 years, maybe sooner.
