Genuine question, is the cost of living similar? What is minimum wage? (sorry if this is too OT)

I don't know if there's actually a minimum wage, technically. We have "awards" that state what you should get paid by industry, but big companies get around it, so it's not an accurate representation. I think the "average" wage is around 45K a year, but cost of living is very high. Especially electricity, fuel, etc

YUP. I'm also from Melbs. Hard to find a house for less than a million these days. Anyone in Jess' situation would be renting a commission home in Werribee for the rest of their lives lol.

300K USD is 400K AUS and remember she has a shitty house and in a shitty town. There's no point ignoring a currency conversion and looking at your attractive town and beautiful homes and saying you could never afford that - because neither could Jessss and it's not comparable! Jessss house was on the market since 2015 because no one wanted it and she even went in with a lower offer, i think the low cost home isn't even the standard where she is. 300K isn't a lot for a double income family with possible inheritence and 7 years of supposedly being a popular YT'ber. Jesss is stupid for implying she has finanical sense "better than her good looks" *puke*. There were attractive larger properties over 600K in her Modesto so it isn't even all cheap, you could get a decent property for the currency equivilent in plenty of other nicer places.

Her colour choices are very 'teen mom' and the pinterest colored trim didn't surprise me at all. It would seem crazy to have Landon crammed in a small room with the twins all year round just for T&C to sleep over 2 nights a month in a room to themselves. Whilst Landon might like room sharing at 3 in not so long C&K might get irritated with a younger sibling. I have a 7 year old and i don't know any kids 7-10 who would want a toddler or a noisey little kid in their room all the time. I thought Jesss might even put daybeds or a fun bunkbed in the family room for T&C and it would still be enough space as a playroom the rest of the time. Then when T&C are there the kids can play in their rooms or the other living room if T&C want a private space. A partion could go up to give them their own room there. I didn't see the room dimensions online and she did fisheye the crap out of it so it might be even smaller than i think.

Thanks, but I'm sure we're all aware of the fact that the the dollar value is not equal. I currently live in a town almost an hour from the (pretty small) capital city, it's an absolute shithole, high unemployment, huge pockets of public housing, and practically no public transport to the CBD, where most jobs are. If I work really hard for the next 5-10 years, I might be able to afford to buy here. But almost certainly nowhere else in the "metropolitan" area. So yeah, I'm jealous of the cost of housing in the US

The paint color reminds me of paint I'd choose for my Sims houses when I was 12...I think that's what Jess' life is like. Meet new guy, engaged, married, new kid, new house all within the same day.

I still love the Sims, but her life is becoming that part of the game where you get bored with your families so you start deliberately effing up people's lives just for kicks.

We have smaller cheaper homes here but i would never trade it for a larger house and have to take on the food system (poor labelling, additives, factory farming and MSGs and expensive organic foods), crime levels and healthcare costs that Jesss might have to. It takes most people 5-10 years to buy, get a starter home and then move up the property ladder. Jesss made terrible decisions so her life leads little to desire. It's taken her 7 years and 3 soulmates to get that houe in a dump, i don't think it's much to be jealous of although im sure she would love it if people were.

I saw a minion comment 'so what if it took her a bit longer to get a degree', but didn't it take her 5-6 years to do just 2 years of community college?

Am I the only one hoping that Jess and Kally have a falling out? I have a feeling that Kally won't hold back on dishing any dirt she has on Jess on her channel.

Maybe if Jessica tries to get with (one of?) her baby daddies again, we'll get to see some of that. I checked out Kally's Instagram and I find her makeup kind of horrendous. Huge eyes like that are not my style. And those comments of arranged marriages are fucking disturbing. They seem like the kind of people to force the kids on dates. They're such walking paradoxes by being obsessed with their babies BEING babies but at the same time speaking about their babies HAVING babies. And that's not even touching upon the heteronormativity of those comments... Ugh, those poor kids.

P.S. Should it interest anyone, my BF and I received the keys for our first apartment the other day and are moving this weekend ^_^ . It's just a small rental, but a very cool development in life/love. Definitely makes me feel proud to have researched the market and made thoroughly-considered choices, when looking at Jessica's life.

That's one thing I am not going to criticize about Jess, yes it's taking forever for her to get it (during these 6 years of her having kids, I had the time to get my bachelor and master degree, amazing what you can do when you are waiting before having children) but at least she is trying while some other youtubers (*cough-Okbaby-cough*) are not doing anything.

Kyra didn't trap 2 different men with babies though, and she's creating a relatively stable life for her kids.
Jess is not trying to get an education, let's be real here. It's all a cover so she can keep having more babies without people criticizing her for not going to school. If she really gave a dam about school she would've been done by now.
