She is also so unsympathetic and caring.

That's why I wonder why she's even there. Isn't she going to feel awkward when she sees her best friend holding her newborn baby girl. I wonder if she's going to be jealous.

taking a page out of M&B's book when they were claiming Missy had been in labor for like 3 weeks with Finn?? (exaggeration, but for real it was like a week right? 2 weeks? lol)

So missy is there but thankfully so is Kelsey's mom. I think it's good that missy has an adult to tell her when its appropriate to give them space, etc. Missy isn't the best at social awareness which is so important during labor.

If I hear them comment on how "amazing" it is/Kelsey is again I swear. She's going through the same labor pain any other woman would and plenty of us go natural. Yes it's hard, no you aren't a special butterfly & you don't get extra credit for foregoing pain meds (in my case, I do it for the benefits I see, not for some praise or badge of honor).

I really feel like Missy is excited for Kelsey.
Maybe she's more excited to be able to witness a birth than actually be there to help.
Either way I do feel like his is the happiest we've seen Missy.
Her high school friend is going to be apart of her world now.

I don't know what's gotten into me.
Hopefully Kelsey's labor picks up.

I agree she seems genuinely happy to be there. Hopefully the feeling is reciprocated by K & C.

One thing I know for sure..... Whatever your birth plan is, that's not going to happen!

Oh brother. Than I've been in labor for two weeks over here because I've been having sporadic painful contractions for that long. I'm seriously rolling my eyes on that one!

Right?? If cramping every 30 min is labor well then I was in labor for weeks!

But I was legit in labor for 2 days with my oldest. And that's not even counting from when the contractions got timetable, that's counting from when they started being consistently 5 minutes or less apart.

Now that the labor has really started, I'm going to be watching their videos lol

I have a question, when does labor actually start? I feel like from the moment she felt a little cramp they started the time which is kind of annoying.

DP

This was bothering me so much. Don't they have other types of shoes for the rain?

Where I live (Europe), we consider 4cm tot be the start of active labor. Everything before that is early labor.

Came to say the same lol. What I don't understand is why go straight for an epidural? Why not try other pain relief before that? I've had 4 babies and never had an epidural!

I felt bad for her in that video but Corbin is so freaking annoying with all the "my love" I will go right back to not watching after June is born. I wasn't quite paying attention when they were going on about the epidural I thought they had to have a c-section for a second. They acted like it was the end of the world.

I would probably get the epidural. No shame in that. But they're so damn sanctimonious and defensive about changing their birth plan. I'm sorry, but she was not in active labor for 38 hours at that point. I've known several woman who chose not to get an epidural and Kelsey never struck me as the type.

What a difference from the JHouseVlogs birth vlog over the weekend! Kendra popped the baby out within 45 minutes of getting to the hospital! But I guess that's the difference between the first and the fifth.

Kelsey does look pretty miserable, but I'm sure Corbin also edited it that way....

They never took a child birth class did they? Then they would know that she wasn't in labor from the first cramps.

They should have gotten a Doula. I had an unmedicated birth and attribute a large portion of being able to manage it to having a Doula. I wonder what positions they tried to encourage progression? My Doula had me all over the place trying to keep things moving.

Wonder why she hadn't progressed past a 4? I hope she is still available to have a vagibal birth. But the longer she goes the less chance she has.
