They're not doing it to create humans the goal is to learn more about fertility to help more people become parents.

Also there is a lot of controversy around using actual human embryos for stem cell research so wouldn't this method also be good for that since it wouldn't be terminating potential human babies?

It is really not though. Both things were done using science.

One is to allow surgeons to perform a procedure on someone, and thus making them able to get pregnant.
One is to study how early development works and improve fertility by being able to target things women might experience to cause infertility or issues remaining pregnant (kind of like missy having something cause her issue...), thus making them able to have successful pregnancies.

The whole point of the study isn't to create life "that way", it is to study how things work, and how they can apply it in the real world.

Well I guess that tweet confirms if they did do gender selection they're never going to tell anyone about it!

I never thought they would be honest about it, they don't want the judgement linked to them doing a gender selection! On the contrary, I think they would prefer to give this image of the perfect family with 2 boys and their special little princess... And honestly, after seeing Missy's reaction when she held her friend's daughter, the only way I would believe her not doing a gender selection next time she is pregant is if her next child is a boy...

Maybe that's exactly the reason why he brought it it up now. Just to stop people talking about the possibility of them going the gender selection road. They wanna quiet the "haters" already upfront so if they are doing a gender reveal and it's a girl they don't have t face (delete) all the possible comments hinting towards gender selection.

That would be so twisted of him... unfortunatly for him, these tweets make him look like an insensitive and judgemental asshole in my opinion...

I'm not really the twitter type, i am rarely on twitter.. but is this the normal way he tweets?!
All the other tweets seem different...
And does he usually tweet about stuff like that?
My first thought was either it wasn't him or he was drunk
It just seems so odd!

Bryan is an idiot, and a sanctimonious asshole. He either didn't read the article because this type of science goes against his religion, or he didn't understand what he read. It's funny that they're suddenly religious again. Why does it happen to suit their needs now to go to church? If they're being sincere, then good for them, but I feel like there's an ulterior motive.

Considering how uneducated the Lumps are, I wonder if they're the type of Christians who believe people were on earth with the dinosaurs? Before anyone says that not all Christians believe that, I know. I was raised in a Christian household, and I know not all religious people don't believe in evolution and don't turn their noses up at scientific discovery. I'm just talking about Bryan, Missy, and Missy's family. Sorry, not sorry, but they seem like the types to believe that humans have only existed for a few thousand years.

In any case, Bryan should have kept his opinion about this off of twitter. I think the commenter who challenged him about Missy's surgery was right. Missy had medical intervention to be able to carry the baby she conceived. So how is that so different from other procedures and research that might help other people to conceive and carry to term? He's a dangerous combination of smug and stupid, and I won't be surprised if his attitude will be their undoing. He is too far up on his high horse to realize that he's further alienating the people who helped build this channel. Such a jerk.

Cory on LiveEachDay has just had a rant about other youtubers posting scary titles and photos - i'm thinking it may be a response to the deformed baby face title from yesterday?

I started to Follow Bryan on FB just so I could get in early on the stuff he entertains us with and he didn't fail me first day. He had so much trouble grasping springing forward one hour and when to put the baby to bed. After what seemed like a hundred explanations he finally decided "Ok cool. Totally putting him to bed early! Haha"

That baby probably woke up an hour earlier. Is it wrong that I hope so? The "maths" trip him up just like the "Englishes words". :P

Regardless of time change baby will wake up when they normally do. Lol. I don't even sweat it. I put mine to bed at 645pm and she woke up at her normal time

I really don't think Missy and Bryan read here, because then they'd know Ollie is behind, right? They can't possibly have their heads so far up their own asses that they'd refuse to see it, just because the "haters" on this board have made observations, can they? It's not Ollie's fault he can't talk properly. It's their fault! Just like it's their fault he doesn't know how to count. Poor kid really thought he only had two eggs in his hands, but he had three. Bryan didn't bother to count , "Look, it's one, two, three!" He just said, "No, it's three!" That's not how a kid learns. For gods sake, Ollie IS three, so he should at least know how to count that high!

Bryan told Ollie the correct number of eggs, but didn't tell him the correct color? That egg was not orange. Why couldn't Bryan say that one was brown, one was white, and one was beige? Bryan and Missy don't take advantage of any teachable moments.

Apparently 60 degrees is "so cold" and 80 degrees is "so hot". Maybe I'm biased because I live on the east coast, but neither of those temperatures are extreme. They act like they never lived in Idaho, and that they don't currently live in Southern California.

Finally, this is NOT a good idea:

Why would Bryan tell Ollie it was a good idea to pull the trike around with a leash when it just toppled over with Finn on it? Finn has more common sense than Bryan because Finn was like, "Screw that!" and hopped in the car to play instead. It made me think of yesterday when Bryan was talking about Finns scratch, and Ollie immediately piped up with, "It wasn't me!" I wonder how many little mishaps happen where Ollie accidentally hurts Finn. I'm not blaming Ollie - not his fault no one watches him or Finn - but accidents happen with kids their ages, and their parents really should pay more attention to them!

Yep it's just an hour either way. Everybody knows they will get their naps in later LOL. I remember when I was a kid a lot of people being late to Church on that day. lol But I guess if you have to get up at a certain time Sunday morning and went to bed your normal time you do lose one hour of sleep but Sunday is my sleep in day so I don't sweat it.

I can't understand anything Ollie says. I only hear Finn doing that "ehhh" most of the time so I imagine nobody will be working with him either. A child Ollie's age should know their colors and be able to count to 3 for well over a year not even being in preschool. That's normally the first things parents teach them. I was a Preschool Teacher for a few years in the 90s and had the 18 month to 3 class and the average was 2 for knowing all of those basic things. Isn't Ollie closer to 4? I am fairly new to them so forgive me for not knowing. I had assumed he was much younger until lately due to his speech and other things.
They are also setting themselves up not getting ahold of his fit throwing over non things and rewarding him for every single thing. Another trophy participant individual in this world coming up.
