Re: Jesssfam: Extreme Makeover (Modesto Edition) Part 89
Does anyone ever remember Jess saying that she was irritated or frustrated with her kids? She needed a break? Ever? She seems to live for being a mom but then I see the stuff she hides (drinking with Jenelle.)
Re: Jesssfam: Extreme Makeover (Modesto Edition) Part 89
After Landen was born she regularly mentioned how hard it was doing it on her own. She said she needed a glass of wine most nights after the kids were in bed.nutbagmcgee wrote:Does anyone ever remember Jess saying that she was irritated or frustrated with her kids? Normal healthy teeth aren't stark white, most people can't achieve that without whitening products, but they should be whiter than yellow. Aside from bad oral hygiene, yellowing teeth is usually caused by a few things, but staining from things like coffee or smoking is definitely the most common. Genes do play a factor, especially as you get older, but tooth colour is mostly affected by external factors.Mamafirst wrote: I'm not trying to sound an ignorant asshole really, but I'm curious, I know genetics plays a large part when it comes to stuff like tons of cavities, but does it also mean you're more likely to have yellow teeth? Like posters from the previous pages have said, they or someone they know have a lot of cavities even while practicing good oral hygiene, but how does that relate to yellow teeth? I guess this is a question for anyone who knows more about this.
I know as a kid I had plenty of cavities but that was because my mom wasn't on top of our teeth brushing. For a while there my teeth were a bit yellow, but as I got older I stayed on top of my oral hygiene and now my teeth are pretty white and I haven't had a cavity in years. Even if Jess' kids genetically are more prone to cavities, I don't really see how that would make their teeth as yellow as they are.

Kids' teeth shouldn't be yellow. They haven't had time for their teeth to be stained yet (and they aren't able to eat/do a lot of the things that stain teeth), so for their teeth to be so yellow really does point to bad oral hygiene.

Her vlogs really are extremely boring now. Footage of a tree being chopped down in their yard and talking about her contacts...?
I can't imagine YouTube lasting more than 5 years or so for her unless she pops out another kid or gets divorced.

So I'm watching the new vlog. As obnoxious as Lilia is, she also seems like a smart girl. My daughter is the same age and this last Christmas she started getting very suspicious of the whole Santa thing. I have a feeling that may been her last Christmas believing in Santa. It makes me wonder how Jess will handle telling her kids that Santa, the Easter bunny etc aren't real. We all know she doesn't do well once her kids get past the toddler stage and it kinda makes me think that she won't acknowledge it at all

I liked her last vlog for once. Might seem boring at first, but there were a lot of thoughts running through my head while watching it.
The St. Patricks thing was actually a good idea, creative almost. Of course you can argue about the toilet, but honestly it makes for nice memories.
The kids driving their bikes was also very nice, mostly because Kyson talked and I just love when he talks, it makes sense most of the time xD And they were wearing helmets, that's an improvement.
Addy falling asleep was sweet, say aboout her looks what you want, but a baby falling asleep is always cute^^Poor thing got scared when she didn't recognise Mom at first
I fear Jess is suffering from dry eyes, I have that too, it sucks! It's so difficult to use eyedrops at least 4 times a day when you're busy. She has it most likely from sitting in front of a screen and smartphone everyday for long periods of time, that's how I got it.

Re: Jesssfam: Extreme Makeover (Modesto Edition) Part 89
I don't know anybody who has paperwhite teeth who doesn't bleach, but I did notice on me that my teeth were white enough for me, but as I got older and used more products for dentalhygiene (mouthwash, switching to electrical brushes etc., no bleach) my teeth looked a little whiter than before. So yes it can come from not being too precise with brushing I'd say, but that doesn't equal bad teeth, it just means you should be a little more precise. Also as a child I remember I drank a lot of ice tea (I know, bad habit) and that got my teeth actually a little yellow as well, since black tea stains also quite a lot if you over do it. Maybe her kids drink somehing in that direction, since I noticed it concerns mostly the upper row of teeth.ArielLipstick wrote:Normal healthy teeth aren't stark white, most people can't achieve that without whitening products, but they should be whiter than yellow. Her kids are very hyper and everything but at least she puts them in sports. Just seeing the twins doing their bike tricks backs this up, they are all probably going to be great athletes one day, assuming Jess can afford to keep putting them in sports and learns how to feed them real food.

I can admire Jess for putting her kids in extracurricular activities no matter how many she pops out. I just chauffeur my kid to school and gymnastics and that gets annoying sometimes. Those activities can take up your entire day at times.

Her house is nice on the outside in the real estate pictures we saw when she moved in. It looks just like all the other nice 2 story houses in the neighbourhood.missy-1010 wrote:In her recent snap of the boys on bikes is that her neighbourhood? How come all the other houses look decent? Did Jess pick the most trashy looking one on the block or?

It was only the inside the of her house that was old and ugly looking. The other nice looking houses on the street might be ugly inside too who knows. I hope her next project is the old kitchen.
I wonder if she's even going to do anything else or if she's done with her renovations now that the carpet is changed, rooms painted and stairway painted.

Not sure the Natalie and drake thread is still open, so I'll post this here. I follow her on Instagram and this came up in my stories:

Lilia has a mouth full of silver teeth. How does that even happen? Doesn't she buy them fancy toothbrushes every Christmas lol
When I got my braces put on recently the dentist told me I have more "basic" saliva, so I get more plaque but less cavities then I would with acidic saliva so I guess thats where genetics come in. However its not just eating candy and not brushing that will ruin your teeth, eating things like goldfish crackers that get a gummy texture once you eat them and then stick to your teeth are really bad too. Realistically making sure her kids brush and use mouthwash, straws for sugary drinks would save her money in the long run since cleanings are cheaper then fillings.
Im curious if its possible for them to convert some of the downstairs living space into another bedroom.... it seemed like it from the tour but I'm not a handy type of person so Im not the best judge.
I don't know if someone's already answered this because I'm behind and catching up, but yes, yellower teeth can be genetic. My mom and my teeth are yellower and. O amount of brushing or whitening has helped me at all, it's pretty frustrating. I know somebody whose teeth are white except for canines. She says that that's an Inuit trait (part of her family came from Alaska).
Also, about Lilia's cavities, she has caps because Jess didn't take her to the dentist as early as she should have (she got bad advice from someone who told her that she should take her kids in at 2). I had to cap one of my teeth when I was 4 because one of my molars was rotting faster than it was growing in and there was nothing we could do about it except cap it. Don't know if that's the result of bad oral hygiene or not since I barely remember it happening, but my mom still brushed my teeth at the time and she was consistent about it

Re: Jesssfam: Extreme Makeover (Modesto Edition) Part 89
I bought my almost 7 year old a sonicare tooth brush when she insisted on brushing them herself. Genetically my teeth are terrible so I don't want hers to be. However, I did notice when she started getting older they started looking yellowish. Honestly I attributed it to them getting closer to falling out. And about six months after they started looking bad she had her first loose tooth. Maybe that's what it is.Mamafirst wrote:I'm not trying to sound an ignorant asshole really, but I'm curious, I know genetics plays a large part when it comes to stuff like tons of cavities, but does it also mean you're more likely to have yellow teeth? I hope Jess gets rid of that ugly tile eventually, but I imagine it would be an expensive job. I wonder what they'll be renovating next.
