I just thought of something. Since I doubt K & C are going to use birth control besides their own version of NFP, I have to wonder how soon Kelsey will get pregnant again. I am guessing it will be by the end of 2018, but could even be toward the end of this year. Although they seem stressed and overwhelmed about being first-time parents, is it enough for them to prevent pregnancy? Or will there be a "we-didn't-expect-to-get-pregnant-while-breastfeeding" baby on the way in six months?

Is that how they got June!? Do they not use birth control? If that's the case, no wonder they don't seem thrilled with her...I doubt they REALLY wanted a child.

Well, they had the baby in March meaning they got pregnant June 2016...so basically they got pregnant right away on their van trip. They probably thought they could just not be careful and nothing would happen quickly. Whoops. In my opinion she definitely wasn't trying because she didn't test until August, two months after conception. Women who practice NFP or are trying pay attention to their cycles and test if they miss a period.

2. Corbin is not unique at all with the call me Papa crap. Hipster dads from Brooklyn to Austin to Portland are all jumping on the call me papa wagon. He's so full of himself. Little June is already a shock to them. They are being forced to prioritize her, crazy! I don't really care what parents want to be called. It's not hurting anyone to say "papa" instead of "dad." I always thought "mama" sounded nice and warm. I didn't even know it was a trend. But has Kelsey been called anything to June? I don't remember hearing them say "mom" or "mama" or "mommy." It's always just "papa."

P.S. My future kids will call us mama and papa, but with the accent on the last syllable. MaMA and paPA. J/K.

I mean, unless you're tracking your basal temperature every day, or something like that, you're not going to have much luck. Their "excuse" was that they were planning on trying at the end of the van trip, but didn't realize that they would get pregnant so quickly. Which makes me really side eye their decision making. If you're not preventing, I'm sorry-- you're trying. "Not trying not preventing" is just a silly way of saying you're trying.
Or maybe they're stupid enough to believe those scenes in movies where women take their temperature in the middle of the day and say "my temperature is right! We need to have sex now!" Nope, not how it works...

I'm not sure if I remember this correctly, but I think in one of the early pregnancy updates, they said K had irregular cycles anyway. Then it was a mix between "but you can still totally do NFP with irregular cycles" and "we thought it'd take a while to get pregnant because irregular cycles"

No, I think you're right. It was both. And the thing is, if you have irregular cycles, and you can't rely on NFP to be accurate, guess what? You're trying! They acted so stunned and annoyed when they found out she was pregnant. I think if morning sickness hadn't been a problem, maybe they would have lasted longer on the road, but if they really wanted to stay in the van, they should have been more careful.
And yeah, I am being judgy. But if they had just said "oh well, we thought it would take longer, but yay! We're pregnant! Isn't it great we were able to conceive?" Instead of the whining "But we didn't knooooow. We thought it would take longerrrr!"

I think the "papa" trend is a bit dumb...but I can see it being popular in places like Portland. Is June still going to call him papa when she's 35? That's creepy!

So they lived in Portland for a few months before their van trip, apparently have no close friends or family there, and then when they were expecting their first child & had no jobs, they chose to go back?! I get it, I lived in Portland & it's a great city-- but I moved for work & now live near family, so much more important for raising kids. These people seem so immature.

I actually always thought Kelsey's morning sickness was actually mostly motion sickness from sitting in the van. When they stopped and stayed at a hotel and on days they didn't drive she wasn't miserable. She should have tried driving the van to see if that helped.
How are they so boring already though?

That article is hilarious. The idea of it being important to be seen as "a hip dad" just by what your kid calls you.... SMH. I mean yeah, it doesn't matter what the kid calls you. It's the reasoning they're giving. How about being seen as a good parent by the care you give your child?

Yeah, they were using 'natural' birth control by monitoring Kelsey's cycle and not having sex when she was ovulating..but obviously because these two were involved they screwed it up and she got pregnant. I think they tried to spin if after that they were 'not trying but not preventing' but honestly it really seems like June was a total accident because they underestimated the need for real birth control. I don't understand how they ever thought that would be a reliable method without some kind of test, (like those ovulation predictors you can get for people who are ttc?) because most women's cycles aren't exactly 28 days every single month so it's not as simple as just counting 4 weeks off on a calendar.

According to their website they enjoy ''drinking way too much local beer.'' I'd say natural birth control and 'way too much' drink are not likely a reliant method lol. Also, has anyone noticed how quickly Kelsey is back to drinking beer etc? Juniper was barely a week old when they were at the food truck drinking and she's obviously breast feeding. I just find it weird given their 'wholesome' 'pure' lifestyle. That and the fact they vlogged and uploaded it. Idk.

Also, I wonder if the reason they put the dog in daycare when they go out is because it barks when alone in the apt and their lease says no pets? Oh, another thing on their website: ''Kelsey is an artist who believes in magic and fairy tales.'' Hmm ok Kelsey.

Last thing lol, I get that it's good to read/talk to babies, but it is SO awkward that Corbin vlogs and uploads it. I realized yesterday I was being read a child's fairy story by a 27 y/o old male stranger on the internet. That wasn't weird. At. All.

I saw the Baby League video where they said they were "not preventing," which I find pretty irresponsible of them considering they didn't have jobs or prenatal coverage on her parent's health insurance. And they were living out of a van on a six month road trip.

I wonder if they had been "not preventing" for a while at that point and hadn't concieved, and either thought they were dealing with infertility or had an inflated sense of their NFP capabilities. I seem to remember in the video where they make a big deal about buying prenatal vitamins that she said they had been using "natural birth control" for five years at that point, which predates their marriage. If they were not preventing and just waiting for Kelsey to get pregnant, it makes slightly more sense that she never looked for work and just seemed to aimlessly float through college. I think she was just occupying herself while she waited to get pregnant. Perhaps it just took a lot longer than they anticipated. Bryan and Missy were also very young and not self-sufficient (and on the heels of a divorce and quick remarriage) when they started trying. And if Corbin does come from a Mormon background, that might be the norm for him as well.

It is pretty sad that the only reason any of these people can afford the children they have is because they're monetizing their children's entire existence for clicks from strangers on the internet.

Oh God, I can't imagine not being on some sort of birth control not married! The scandal it would cause in my life to get intentionally pregnant unmarried LOL If you're in a committed relationship/engaged/don't desire getting married and you want a baby, that's cool, but I can't imagine they wanted a baby so young and unmarried! They don't even seem to want a baby right now, they couldn't have wanted one then.

Maybe they were using condoms, which could be considered natural...I honestly just don't think they are very intelligent when it comes to the whole sex-makes-babies thing.

I could be wrong, but didn't she get a positive test in July? I was thinking she tested around the 4th but they didn't announce until August.. I'll check to make sure that's right though...

I think it's fine she went out and had a beer... She didn't seem drunk and one beer isn't going to taint her supply. Hell i had champagne 4ish hours after i gave birth, the nurses chilled it for us.. LOL

Anyone else find it weird that Kelsey said that a 1 hours plane ride/6 hour drive was the "perfect distance" away for FAMILY to be? It rubbed me the wrong way... clearly these two like to be on their own and that's fine, but something about that comment really made it seem like they intend on staying closed off from their family and really don't want anyone interfering with what they want to make of their own "perfect/dream bubble". So strange.
I would personally love it if my child's grandparents and aunts/uncles lived close by! It doesn't mean that we'll see them every day or even every week, but it's just nice to be close to family if you can be, in my opinion. They seem like they moved away to purposely be away from family.
