Sam and Nia: Our Viral Addiction (Part 4)

Re: Sam and Nia: Our Viral Addiction (Part 4)
I missed the last 4 vlogs, just skimmed them and read some comments, and all the posts here. Uber cringeworthy, all of it. I agree with what everyone here has said. A few thoughts:
The new baseball cap thing is laughable. HUGE caps that cover her ears and a big long bill that she has to peek under to see? omg.
Nia holding court with the few fans who came out, all the while holding her Starbuck's coffee, just like a Hollywood celebrity, don't ya know?
Stupid (more stupid than usual, even) titles.
Did anyone notice that there's a whole load of new usernames in the comments and most of the regulars are missing? What's up with that?
Sam's aliases showing up to scold and degrade the few naysayers, and there's a new one. The name (get this!)...Clint Ashley! lol.
Who took care of the kids, btw?

Clearly Vlogger Fair put an end to their involvement with the larger YouTube community, but the way Nia acted at that premiere is going to get them blacklisted even more. Erika Christensen wasn't there to talk to clueless YouTubers, she was there to talk to press who came out to cover the opening of the movie. She was doing her JOB as were the people with press passes there to interview her.
I would have loved to see the face of the publicist out of frame who clearly walked up and pulled Erika out of there - then cut to Nia shrugging and saying she "broke a rule." Nia wasn't "working." As fame hungry as they are, I would expect them to have more awareness of how they act in situations like that.

Thank you for sharing this...that was more than just a faux pas and puts into perspective how truly delusional they are. smh. Remember them crashing the gates at Times Square NYE?

I agree...thank you for sharing this. I hate to bring myself into this, but as a journalism student I don't think it's funny or amusing that they were "playing reporter". It's inappropriate to get in the way while people are actually trying to do their jobs. Rant over.JLPC wrote:Birdie89 wrote:Clearly Vlogger Fair put an end to their involvement with the larger YouTube community, but the way Nia acted at that premiere is going to get them blacklisted even more. Currently trying to watch the live stream. Don't think I can get through much more. They're in a public ice cream parlor filming and answering questions, which I think would disturb everyone else there, and Symphony and Abram have both been shouting full volume the entire time, which I KNOW disturbs everyone there.
Re: Sam and Nia: Our Viral Addiction (Part 4)
I caught a portion of their livestream live for the first time and iirc, someone was asking a few weeks ago--they do have the setup where people can give them money. I can't confirm how much they got, but people were definitely donating.

Grrrrr. That's so not ok. I can't imagine that their run of the mill Fan BASIC has that much money to spare. I just really side eye vloggers taking cash from viewers. If someone wants to shell out for merch, whatever. I prefer the way Bratayley's friend Katie does merch, donating proceeds to charity, but expecting that level of unselfishness in the average narcissistic vlogger is a lot. But I draw the line at taking cash. At least with merch, you get _something_. You're not just giving money to someone who likely makes more in a month than you do in a year.mormonts wrote:I caught a portion of their livestream live for the first time and iirc, someone was asking a few weeks ago--they do have the setup where people can give them money. I couldn't agree more! I think it's so disgusting that they don't say in their vlogs for people to give to charities instead of them! This is why these idiots think they are celebrities because people keep supporting them - financially! One thing that really irritates me about Sam is anytime they are in a public place he purposely speaks loud so that people around him have to turn to stare, he just wants people to come up to him and say hi like he's so important - get a life Sam!
Re: Sam and Nia: Our Viral Addiction (Part 4)
Just watched the live from Braums video.
Kids were annoyingly shouting.
Title of vlog was a snark at people talking about them shouting and hyper on other live blogs.
At closer to 4 shouldn't Abram be able to eat without it being all over his face? I know it's weird to say he is immature for his age, he is a little kid but he acts so odd just like Symphony does at almost 7. They are emotionally stunted or something. Not surprising.
Lastly, did Sam have a big ol dip in his mouth? When he was talking it was really obvious.

Re: Sam and Nia: Our Viral Addiction (Part 4)
I echo a lot of comments already made about the past few vlogs. Ditto on E_8's comments about the premier: I used to work at a newspaper and I covered events at the city's performing arts center (sadly no big movie premiers lol). There was a limited amount of time for interviews, and an editor who had already told me how much space I needed to fill in the layout. So I definitely found that pretty selfish, but sadly on par with what to expect from them anymore.
I also agree strongly with not liking the setup where they take money from fans. This was brought up recently, but I also don't like that they accept so many gifts in their PO box and wish they would encourage fans to donate. (To a local charity, not their nonexistent one) I also love how they closed their PO box bc they felt they had received so much from fans and "wanted to give back," then reopened it just weeks later. smh.

Chewing on ice is a symptom of iron deficiency anemia. With the pregnancies, and breastfeeding I wouldn't be surprised. Baby takes what it needs first.JLPC wrote:I agree on all points!KaterTot wrote:Just watched the live from Braums video.

Apropos to nothing but on FB today there was an article about adults and ADHD and one of the symptoms was this. I thought of Sam immediately.
People with ADHD tend to put off boring tasks in favor of more enjoyable activities.

Yep! My first thought. I had a transfusion in 2012 and my symptom was eating ice like it was going out of style. I was a 5. They transfuse at 8. No way Nia would know since Sam is their Doctor and doesn't let her go to real appts.lmmomSD wrote:Chewing on ice is a symptom of iron deficiency anemia. Re: Sam and Nia: Our Viral Addiction (Part 4)
They went to a disney themed birthday party and Nia was there taking care of Juliet for most of the time, I just find it rude that Sam doesn't even offer to help Nia. You can tell at times she does get irritated but obviously doesn't say anything to Sam. They sang their viral frozen song at the party, they do not have good singing voices!! Ofcourse they had to make their comment of the day about someone who really wanted to meet them - I can guarantee nobody on this board will ever have that desire hahahaha
