I work retail, they start off slightly higher than minimum wage (but so does the McDonald's in my town) because we live in an expensive state. I like it because they work with my very limited availability so I can still have some disposable income without having to pay for a sitter. Stores will always need people to stock shelves and cash people out.
For Jess it would be easier because she has so many people nearby to help her out if she needed it. I don't see how she doesn't plan for the future. I don't know Stabby's schedule, but if he did have the weekends off, she could easily serve Friday and Saturday nights for 4 or 5 hours. She will only have to work two days a week and she will be able to put it on a resume. She seems rather personable and has a bubbly personality, it could work to her advantage especially at a job that offers tips.
The problem is, I don't think she wants to work. It seems like she has always wanted to be a SAHM and I think she used college after Lilia, as an excuse so people wouldn't give her crap for expanding her education.

She has to realize sooner or later that at one point all her kids will be in school. Can't very well be a SAHM when there are no kids at home to parent.

Another thing for Jess is both Amber and Janele work at hospitals. I'm sure they would put in a good word for her and try ti help her get a job there if something like a receptionist or other position that didn't require specific education opened up. Or maybe she could go back to being a dance teacher while in college. That would actually be good and relatable experience for becoming an elementary teacher.

Anyone else get annoyed at how Jess always makes a huge deal over the fact that 'mimi' very rarely takes more than one kid over night . I mean for god sake Jess the woman redesigned her whole house around your kids and failed relationships , what does she expect ?

Those guys at Costco saying "better you than me " were hilarious to me. I just don't see why she included them in the video. Did she take it as a compliment? They didn't even look like they wanted to be filmed, weren't they trying to flee saying "well we have to go" while she bragged about how many kids she had? This girl is fucking dumb.

In Jess' mind it's Mimis duty to take her kids since she's their grandma. Just like Chris needs to be the father of all of her children, because he's married her.

btw: I feel like she tries to encourage Chris to be a little bit more attentive to the twins
