It bothers the shit out of me. In the house? he's watching tv... In the car? Movie on the TV in the car. In a restaurant? Netflix on the iPad. Tv in the bath, tv in the bedroom (although they can totally say the boys rooms don't have TV's they might as well put one in since he watches the ipad in bed pretty much every night he doesn't pass out in the living room or playroom watching TV) TV in the playroom... I have never in my life seen a child his age with so much screen time. He will lose his mind when he has to go to school and not watch TV for a few hours.

Apropos of nothing -- I can think of nowhere else I can even share this. Because (evidently) I do not value my time whatsoever, I've been reading a "chapter" or two of this one Daily Bumps fanfic every day. In today's installment ...

- Avery (their adopted daughter, whom Bryan picked from a binder labeled "Girls 9-11" at the group home) had the best Christmas ever (as noted by the detailed list of all the presents she got)
- Avery receives a menacing phone call from her drug-addicted biological father who is hell-bent on getting her back (that group home really should not have adopted her out to vloggers; that is probably the worst placement for a kid who needs to be protected -- this is like the second or third kidnapping attempt since she's been adopted)
- Her bio dad is like "I have someone that your mom and dad might be interested in ..." and when he gets Bryan on the phone he continues "Oh, no one you would remember ... Gabriel!"

Ho.ly.shite! That's right. In this crazy warped fankid's mind ... this is a totally exciting, but plausible point. Gabriel is alive and is somehow with this bad man. And this person includes in the author's notes: "In case you don't know, Gabriel is the kid Bryan and Missy lost ..." I haven't been so creeped out in YEARS.

Yes! It's actually quite sad that he can't just sit and play. It also bothers me that despite all that screen time, he still knows very little compared to others his age. All that screen time, and they've never even tried to give him anything educational to watch!

That's just horrible. And "lost", like he got kidnapped at a playground or something. No, he's actually dead. People will do anything for attention.
And how creepy to have a _binder_. of girls 9-11?

I wouldn't judge *as much* if he were watching educational things. but nope.. "He's just a kid! He doesn't need to learn!!!"

It's so weird to me how Ollie will sit and focus on the tv and tablet so intently. Even if the tv is on in the background my 3 year old is still running and wrestling with his little brother or playing with his duplo. He also only watches educational shows. Sometimes we sit and watch movies but I can't imagine just plopping him in front of the tv all day long.

I am 100% percent convinced Fin is not the favorite. If that had been Ollie today it would of been such a big deal, so many emotions, so many ice creams, toys, drop everything to hold him.
I don't think I could be so non chalant about something growing bigger in my baby's heart or heart area. Her little comment about being "so exhausted (with the flip of her hair) from the trip, the drive, the traffic, but not putting that much effort into the Finn report and even saying more tests are being ordered and surgery possible in the future as worst case scenario.
I mean I didn't expect her to lay in the dirt and sob but if you note the difference between that and then how she is loving and interacting with Ollie at the end is kind of insane.

Bryan continues to play with expensive big boy toys No time to support his wife or go to his son's appt to help her. Not like the 4 adults there couldn't watch Ollie.

Agreed. My daughter has BAV (bicuspid aortic valve). She has to have an echo done every year and it's very stressful and scary for all of us. My husband always comes with us, not only do I need the support but he actually wants to be there, even though she won't need surgery until she's an adult, it's something serious. I feel like any issues with the heart should not be taken lightly, she didn't seemed concerned at all but maybe I'm wrong, I don't know, it just seemed like an odd reaction to me.

Missy seemed more upset that her whole day was spent on Finn, than she was about her son possibly needing heart surgery in the future. She talked more emotionally about her long day than the actual dr's appt. Also, how did Finn do? Was he a "good boy" the whole time? Did he do "so good" and get a new toy or some candy? Didn't look like it. If it had been Ollie there would have been a 3 min montage of him picking out a new toy and a sucker. Finn got nothing, not even a few words about how "good" he was while he was there. Meanwhile, Ollie got 2 new toy airplanes. I'm sorry Finn, years from now when you google this and find it here, please know that there are some well meaning strangers that see the way you are pushed aside for your brother and we don't like it any more than you do. :(
Ollie would have been perfectly happy at home with Poppa and Jimmy. Hell Mimi could have even stayed home and helped if they thought they needed 3 adults to handle him (that child must be a terror, it always takes at the very least, 2 adults to watch him). Mimi could have even still gone with them, they have plenty of car space! I'm sure Jimmy and Poppa could have handled Ollie... It just proves that Bryan could give two shits about his kids unless it's playing with them or getting vlog footage. No amount of toys and new pools will make up for the fact that you are showing the entire world that you could care less about your toddler's heart Bryan. The internet is forever, and when Finn is older and watching these videos its probably going to sting a little that his father would rather play with RC cars than hear about his heart defect.

And remember when Ollie had to have his ultrasound, they "practiced" with him beforehand, (actually probably making it worse) and the whole family was involved? But Finn can just go in, and it's NBD.

YES!!!!!! I also only think they did this bc they see and hear C&K doing the same with Gaines.. they preach about how she is always better when they prepare her for things and show and tell her exactly what will happen. Too little too late Missy...

Speaking of... is Ollie ever going back to the dentist? Or is Dr. Missy just doing at home dental exams still?

What is it with Bryan and not going to his kids' doctor appointments? Granted, my ex didn't drop everything for checkups, but important things like meeting with the geneticist, and when my daughter had Kawasaki syndrome, and they were worried about complications with her heart, he was there. And he listened, and asked questions, and learned about the issues. I just don't understand. And it's not like he has a job he has to get time off from. He complained about his uninvolved father, and look at him.

Same here, my husband didn't come to every check up, but anything major, if they are super sick or if we were to see a specialist or something like that he is always there.

Not saying it's the case here, but at a certain point even specialist appointments become routine. The first few after an initial diagnosis, my husband would come, but he certainly didn't miss work for every echo. I know these boys have had a few.

That being said, Brian doesn't even go to swim lessons so....haha

The difference is that Bry isn't working a normal job, he was at home dicking around when he easily could have been there with his wife and toddler.

Does anybody know whats wrong with Missy's neck? It was like this during two separate clips.

Also she comes home exhausted because of traffic? Excuse me? She probably didn't drive back so what's her excuse?

Complaining about nursing ?!? Bitch he wants comfort, you don't work, you vacation all day, your life isn't stressful, give him your damn boob.

Let's be real...they won't use the outdoor kitchen - they will hire someone to use it.
