I thought we could do it through PM. Not arguing, just double checking. I know we're not supposed to post it here so creepy people can't just log in and find them, but a PM from a long time user seems OK to me. If that's wrong, I would like to know.

You could be right. We definitely aren't allowed allowed to share publicly, and I guess I just assumed that extended to PMs as well.

And for the person who asked, I can't point you to a specific written rule, but it's come up on this site many times. Every time a vlogger moves a mod has to come in and shut shit down. I'm sure you can PM a mod if you'd like specifcs.

Why would you post a rude, bossy message telling people to STOP when you don't even know what you're saying is 100% true? That seems a bit extreme to me.

I actually don't think the house is that bad. Yes, there are a lot of cosmetic things they can fix...but that can happen over years. Plus, who knows, they could do a sponsorship/brand deal with Lowe's or Home Depot, etc.

Personally, I think Katie's parents help them out financially a lot!! I think Katie and Cullen seem frugal day-to-day living off their YT income, but her parents are happy to write the big checks to help with things like their new car and this house. The grandparents probably like the idea of all the grandkids growing up as neighbors - and it's supposedly a top school district.

I agree that the bathrooms and the kitchen can be redone in the future and that the house is perfectly livable as it is from what we can tell, and in that sense it's move in ready. But I wouldn't want to live with that kitchen and those bathrooms for more than a year or two. And with $650,000 in Alabama, why should you have to? Given the market, I think people are surprised that they spent that much on a house that needed a new kitchen and new bathrooms, and are wondering if they overpaid because it was the neighborhood they wanted to be in and was a few houses down from her sister. And I don't think real estate photos always tell the whole story, so if things look a little dated in photos, odds are they are a whole lot more dated in-person.

I agree that Katie and Cullen are paying their own way when it comes to their daily living expenses, but when it comes to big purchases that most people are saving for on their own, I think they accept gifts from her parents. Even if her parents didn't write an additional check for this house, I'm almost positive they gave them the down payment for their first house. Because of this, they were able to start building equity and they were able to roll over that equity, the original down payment, and the profit they made from the increased value of the property over the last five years into this new mortgage. I think that if Katie and Cullen had been completely on their own, I doubt they would be at a point today where they could purchase something in the $650K range with two stay-at-home parents and YouTube as their sole source of income.

What I wonder, they won a trip and we never hear about it. Hopefully they have a few years to use it, as in it don't expire in a few years. I'm always wondering if/when they will take it.

Maybe I'm being too harsh but damn. It's amazing to me how once they close on a house the newbes come out in droves wanting the address. There is already enough info (and photos) on here publicly that make it super easy to find the house. Idk about the rest of the people here but it makes me uncomfortable for c&k. I get that they open themselves up for stuff like this but at if you want to find it at least do it on your own and don't involve others. What they choose to show us and what they choose to keep private should be respected. We will see the exact house and what it looks like soon enough. Have a shred of decently for this family and these kids....

The irony is a "newbie" is the one who found where the house was and without this initial information, I doubt any of us would have found it. It was her first time posting here and I am still shocked how she found this house.

Is this as simple as anyone can turn off receiving messages or PM for those who have been contacted about the link more than they wish? I looked at the board rules which are vague and didn't see anything specific on PM etc. But some of this comes down to common sense too.

I think we are respect where they live or their family privacy and wouldn't think to intruded on their daily life. I believe this has been a curiosity of what they bought, but I think we all recognize Cullen and Katie are essentially strangers. YouTube is a strange world where you garner views on buying a house, having a baby, going on a vacation...the list goes on. I find it entertaining on how this group makes a living and my favorite part has been the house purchases.

I am a "newbie" but I plan to stick around. I honestly didn't know a message board like this existed and I am enjoying the board now that I have joined with the exception of quite a few unwelcoming buttholes. I understand "people coming out of the woodwork" but new people have to post at some point. Weren't you a "newbie" at some point too? I didn't come here asking for anything from anyone. I came here to SHARE the information I had found and was immediately treated badly because I'm a "newbie". I don't understand why a bunch of strangers would be hateful to someone new that has similar interests?

As to how I found the house, I looked on Zillow out of curiosity and put clues together just like everyone else. I didn't feel like it wasn't that hard to find with the information that had been provided.

You are absolutely right and all members are newbies at one time. In fact, where this term come from and is it necessary to address members this way. Are we all just posting messages on a board about a topic and really does it matter who is new or not. It is always better to have a busy board with lots of opinions and having new members is a way to ensure this.

I am impressed you found the house since it to me wasn't that easy from looking at a vlog of Cullen and Katie in a shower. Thanks you for the information and it has been fun looking at their new house!

Agreed, i would much rather have access to a private community pool than have to deal with the maintenance of my own. Even with a monthly usage fee it would be cheaper than upkeep on your own, plus much less work.

I think pretty much everyone here thinks its NOT a good idea to share any more info than we already have, publicly or not, about the new house. Please move it to the boxing ring if you want to continue to ruffle people's feathers about releasing the address of the house. So, do you all think that Jay and Cullen are going to do more prank videos now that they're going to be living four doors down? If so, I hope they do it on a dedicated channel. I don't need a bunch of videos of overgrown man children pranking each other. But that's just me. I know a lot of you enjoy them. But that orbeez bathtub one just skeeved me out.

The golf balls breaking windows is something i didn't think of before.. O wonder if homeowners insurance is slightly higher bc of that risk? LOl silly but it made me go hmmmm.
A prank/challenge channel might be interesting for these two, but i also feel like they will need a specific jumping point, like the SlowMo guys, ect. I feel like it might not work bc Jay doesn't have the down time like Cullen does to focus on a second channel. I don't know if realistically Jay would be able to keep up with the demands of a second channel with his work. I do think that most time they are pretty dang hilarious together but, in the same thought i wouldn't want them to over take the vlog. If they keep it at the amount they do now i would be ok with it.

The two of them should start a channel. It might do really well because there certainly is an audience for that sort of thing and it's not necessarily the exact same as their vlogging audience. A more goofy, pranky, challenge channel with Cullen and Jay has the potential to be pretty hilarious if done well and directed at the right audience.

I agree especially with the insurance and maintenance. It seem like a pool was on the list of CK wants with their new house so I was thinking they would put this ahead of others things...but I was wrong.
