Not saying that they aren't going by closing date, bc they very well could be, but i do know that date of possession does not HAVE to be closing day. It can be, but it's not required. Meaning they could have closed on their house on Monday. and close on the new house on Friday, but they don't have to be out of the old house until next monday...

If you google "Shaytard news" you'll see articles on a cheating/alcoholism scandal from this year. They've been off YouTube for a couple of months.

Ok, gotcha. I was really just asking because I was searching Zillow and didn't know if the new house was still listed as For Sale/Pending or if it had been updated to Sold already.

if you look at the pic of the refrigerator you can see the cabinets are really narrow. The nook that the refrigerator is in looks to be as deep as the cabinets. In that same pic (18/48) you can see the refrigerator has lower cabinets blocked. I don't know how they would fix that without a huge kitchen reno.


They may be able to rip out the cabinets around the refrigerator and move it over to the corner. That would be the best spot for it, but that would still require a lot of cabinet work. They would probably have to hire someone to customize that whole corner. I see so many $$$$ when I look at that kitchen and those bathrooms.

Also, why did Katie take all of the clothes off of the hangers? It would have been so much easier if she would have left them on hangers and bagged them. I have always sectioned our clothes into 1ft sections. I wrap a trash bag around them, and then box them. On moving day I take the bags off and rehang everything. I would hate to rehang all of their kids clothes....you know they have a ton of them.

I think that's what I saw and assumed it was his clothes. I forgot that she stores the clothes they have our grown in containers like that.

I can't see how they could _not_ notice it! We're just looking at pictures and it's the first thing most of us have seen looking at the kitchen! It's got to be a glaring flaw when you walk into the kitchen!

You're right-- they're absolutely First World problems. But so are most "issues" that vloggers deal with: slow internet, hotel rooms that have so-so views, "having to" renovate perfectly livable houses...It does get pretty ridiculous.
5000 square feet is a lot to clean, all right. More First World problems.

I think the point circles back they paid over six hundred thousand for a home that shouldn't have these problems and has not seen updates in twenty-five plus years.

Exactly.. It's not like they spent $20,000 on the place. The other houses on the street are $100K less and don't need renovations.

I'm wondering if they pounced on this house because homes on that street don't come on the market very often and they wanted to be near her sister? I did a quick search of the sale records in that area and the only other house on that street that has sold in the last TWO years is Kelly and Jay's house. And it sold for a little over $600K, no where near $650K. The next street over has homes selling in the $400Ks and $300Ks mostly. A few very nicely updated homes with water views sell in the $600ks and $700ks. Do we know exactly what they paid? It looks like they overpaid, unless they got a significant reduction off the list price.

Their house was sold for $640K back in July of last year. I can't imagine the seller sold the place for much less than that.

personal, and yeah nobody cares, lol but this kitchen is more my speed than the all white sterile look that is so in right now. But then i'm like ImmomSD (i think it was you that said it a few pages ago. Correct me if im wrong) I don't care whats trendy and cool, i like what i like and if i'm going to redo or build a home its going to be based on what i love and not what's plastered all over the trendy home magazines. But that is personal taste.

I was saying that we should decorate to personal taste not trends (keeping resale in mind.) I'm also not a big fan of the white kitchen where literally everything is white. I prefer dark wood cabinets myself, they seem more cozy and inviting and less sterile than the white.

After watching another family's vlog today, it made think of Cullen and Katie's recent vlogs and their sweet approach with parenting. Are they prefect, no since none of us are, but they are pretty darn good parents and better than other vlogging parents.

I do wish Cullen hadn't been sitting on his laptop when the kids were being so cute together. Thank goodness he has the vlogs so he can see how adorable his kids are. I know it was just one time, but it was so sweet. I would have tapped him on the shoulder and had him turn around.

I got emotional when GrandBerry was talking about them moving!!! I've been watching since right after they moved into this house, i didn't think that it would get me all sad like it has.. they have been through so much in this house...

She is a sweet mom and grandmother. I love her southern accent too! Katie's parents are also very nice.

This home does have a lot of good memories. It is fortunate they have all the vlogs filmed in this home available to look at in the future.
