ETS: Why is the video quality so poor? Only 360 instead of the normal 720 or 1080. I guess they're not wifi switched on yet and using their phone to upload.

That's odd, its 1080 for me.

WHen it first uploads it is only available in lesser quality, once it is up for a while you can watch it in higher quality.

That's weird. I clicked the settings tab to see if I could increase it but the maximum option was 360.

ETA: Ah, just tried again and as nutbag said, it's available in higher options of 720 and 1080 now.

I was expecting more from the house, the main section I liked was the entryway and they are completely redo-ing it! The house seemed sorta disjointed to me, a lot of it had a rustic vibe but then the master bathroom (to me) didn't seem to flow. I think I liked the house but there were quite a few rooms I thought a different wall shade would be an improvement.

Sorry for the numerous posts. For those of you who found the house's location, is it close to/in a busy part of town or more suburban? I'm trying to work out if I think the house was worth the price or not, its about 850 000 AUD, which part of me thinks it is far from being worth that, and another part of me thinks about how some areas near me are having a housing crisis where flats and knock-downs go for 900-000 to a million.

^ It's suburban. It's also on a golf course, so that adds to the price.

I hated it from the pics on the listing, but I liked it in the vlog. Just like they said, I think it takes a min to warm up to it and truly see it for it's worth.

I think the master bath would look a million times better if they took the black floor out. I like the black for the sink counters and the tub, but it's too much with the floor black too. It'd be a nice contrast against white granite type tile.

I LOVE the kitchen and the built ins in the den. Those are my favorite rooms. Love the design of the play room nook. And the ceiling in the master bedroom. Ugh. It's just a gorgeous house that I'm sure will look more updated as time goes on.

And really, nothing was gonna beat the fact that it's next to JK's. I'm happy MG and B will grow up being besties with their cousins.

The tour has me so confused on the layout. Hopefully I'll catch on as they film more inside of it. Is the bathroom with the blue wallpaper Gaines' bathroom?

I have to say, I could also have done without the idea of Cullen lying naked on the counter. Thanks so much, Katie, for planting that visual in my head.

Cullen and katie : Moving On Up. Part #10

I absolutely love that house and ugh that kitchen is sort of my dream. I would like to know the year the house was built because it's quite beautiful imo. Also those rooms are huge holy crap I'm definitely not used to bedrooms so large.

I wouldn't buy stools for the breakfast table, but a bench I think, one piece that keeps things in the same line, and can be put back under the table after use.

(long time lurker here)
I love the house. Maybe it's because I am not from the USA (I am from the Netherlands) so maybe my standards and expectations are different. A house like this is defo out of my reach in this lifetime.

Definitely think it's one of the better 'Youtube' houses I've seen...

For those who found the listing, or if they've mentioned it in another vlog, how many bedrooms does the house have? The large playroom could be turned into another bedroom depending on the placement in the house, but Im just thinking about if they want to have more children. Of course the kids can share but if you're spending tons on a house I would assume you'd get something that kids could have their own personal space.

I think it's SO different from the other YT houses that are so cold, sterile, clean lines...(Ellie's house). you can tell the house has character. That's huge to me. It will be genuinely lived in.

Being on a golf course is actually a negative with small children. I grew up on Long Island and our house backed up to the 16th hole. We were not allowed to play alone in our yard because of the wayward golf balls which frequently fell into our yard and broke windows. The other problem was the golf cart walkway out back. With constant golfers using the walkways with their golf carts our parents worried about privacy and security as basically it was open to the players to use and they could see into our yard. I'm wondering if they considered all of that unless they plan to spend most of their time indoors with the children. At least their old house had a big fenced yard. I don't see what the problem was having to walk down the stairs from the back deck...good exercise!

The listing says 5 br. I agree that the rooms they have planned now can easily evolve with their growing family through the years.

It's great exercise, but they couldn't let the kids play out there without supervision with all those steps. Super dangerous. I grew up with a screened back patio that had a huge flight of stairs to the yard like their old house. Even at 5 years old I managed to fall down the stairs and broke my arm.

I REALLY love this house. I'm with whoever just said (I can't see it in this reply lol sorry) they love it more than DB or EJ's homes. It just feels so much more homey to me. I cannot wait to see how they change things up.
My only gripe about the home tour is we can't see how everything flows or how it's layed out. I would have loved to see an "uncut" walk through.

I do agree with Cullen that the bones of the house are great. I guess you need that many square feet to have big bedrooms. The master bedroom is awesome. I totally admit to envying the size and the fireplace and having a private porch. I love porches. Guess it's the fact that I spent my early childhood in the South. And my dad loved porches too...

It seems like your home was butted right up too a green, I haven't finished the tour yet, but are we certain there isn't a buffering woodline between them and the course or if it's not actually ON the course? Just meaning that just Bc a home is on a golf course doesn't 100% mean the yard will connect to the actual green. We have a home on the market right now that is on the golf course but has no property lines adjoining the actual course.
The stairs were super dangerous for the kids and hard on the dogs (I know Ada has had back problems in the past). There is no way the kids could play out there alone. With the new screened porch with out the elevation, I would be much more comfortable letting the kids play out there while I cooked dinner or whatever.

That's my point...the kids won't be able to play in their new backyard without supervision either as it's open to the golf walkway with all the golfers either walking by or riding golf carts as well as the danger of golf balls hitting them. You would think since their previous house was not kid friendly with a backyard that they would have made that a huge priority when buying a new house. The kids could care less about all those bathrooms, chandeliers and golden fixtures lol...they just want to play especially as they get older. They will not want to be stuck inside or confined to a screened in porch.
