I watched some of the Instagram live last night and something just seems off. Its really hard to say who is being more truthful. I definitely believe linds suffered some abuse, the "letter to my teenage self" video seems to fit with her timeline. I'm just wondering if she embellished some? On the other hand Kristy could just be manipulating people to "prove" her innocence. I don't know. Maybe Kiersten can weigh in and give us a little more info.

I'm more inclined to believe Lindsey. Kristy is a liar. She was live streaming about an hour ago for over 2 hours clearly talking and you can even her on the phone with the dr saying she called off work today because she had a gout flair up, then 30 minutes ago shes on her instagram saying she hasn't been home in 2 hours. Mhhmmm. Of course she deleted the live stream but sorry kristy some people actually caught it.

I've creeped on these boards for a few years and my first time posting. I watched the first hour before I fell asleep. In my opinion I think she did a lot of the things Lindsey has claimed she's done. Every time someone asked a question she never directly answered it. She kept saying "I love my daughter" "I don't know why she's doing this" "I'm not a perfect mom" and "I mean I have not read the book and I'm not buying it but I've heard enough". From what I saw those were her answers for everything. I feel like in the future if my daughter was accusing me of the things Lindsey is accusing her of I would sit down and say flat out that this is what isn't true and this is what is. She just seems like she's avoiding actually answering questions straightforward.

I heard that on the livestream this morning but don't follow her on insta so didn't see that she said she hadn't been home. She was definitely home and her husband was there too. She would yell at her dog occasionally and I heard the phone call with the doctor. Last night she definitely seemed dodgey. And claimed she didn't know what catfishing was.. come on. It almost seems like she doesn't want to make a video about it because she doesn't want to give straight answers and be caught in a lie.

To be honest In the beginning I thought she was just a helicopter mom? She seemed nice enough. Then I noticed her on Lindsey's MySpace literally ALL. THE. TIME. She used to make elaborate fake profiles to message Lindsey's boyfriends to see if they would flirt with the fake profile. She would almost WANT SOMETHING to happen so lindsey would be crushed and be fully dependent on her again. That's just how she was. It was sad. You could tell the dynamic wasn't exactly "right", but she seemed happy with her mom when we first hung out. Then she told me everything that happened and it all started tying together and making sense.
Sorry if it's hard to understand. I'm trying to wrack my brain, to remember some of this stuff.

That makes sense. I've been a lurker for along time and have watched linds for years, I remember you being in some videos. I guess I just don't want to believe it because its so terrible. To think a mother would do that to her own daughter. I haven't read the book yet, just the sample. But it does kind of all make sense now. As a viewer watching I feel like their relationship was always strange. Kristy definitely acted more as a friend than a mother but it seemed like there was more. now knowing all this it does explain why linds is the way she is.

As if that somehow excuses all of the mistakes she's made. AND she would only admit to "mistakes" that made her look ok. Like, I spent too much money, I shouldn't have allowed her to cheerlead. No. You shouldn't have gotten completely wrapped up in your child's personal life. Kristy just plain isn't ready to be honest. She STILL plays the victim at every opportunity available.

Having a daughter myself, I couldn't begin to understand why she did what she did. It literally makes my skin crawl.
I'm just glad Lindsey has finally stood up for herself and has started to do things for herself. I've been telling her for awhile now to cut her off. Mom or not, you can't have toxic people in your life.

Yeah, she's pretty good at that. It's not so much she was wrapped up in her personal life as much as she invested herself in it. And if things didn't go the way she wanted she would get PISSED. Idk how many times she had things taken away from her to make her crumble. Her hair products, tooth brush, etc.
But then she'd turn around and throw parties and buy alcohol for myself and Linds. Anytime she would be super shitty with her, she'd end up taking her shopping for things and be super loving.

Yeah, I'm blocked on every social media outlet we're both on lol but I watched the feed on YouTube. I've been trying to keep up with this shit in between working lol

When I was watching some her the instagram live, she was def dodging questions and playing dumb about certain things. She claims to have no idea what catfishing is. Uh... I'm calling BS on that one. She also claimed to have only read the sample, and when asked questions about things written in the sample she played dumb.

If I were being accused of something this extreme, I'd most def be defending myself word for word. If Lindsey were sick enough to fabricate this story for money/attention, Kristy wouldn't be doing her any favors by enabling her.

Then she claims that the family doesn't want to get involved. Not her husband, not her son, nor their extended family. That also seems really odd to me, unless of course it's the TRUTH.

I just finished the book. Wow. I am inclined to believe Lindsey's account of this. Kristy has always been creepy. Always. We have discussed that here for years. And abusers like to be the most important person in the lives of the people they abuse. It adds up.

Didn't the brothers wife used to have an account here? I seem to remember her defending them but then had a different account where she talked bad about kristy? Might be interesting to go back and reread those.

When her and her friend got matching tattoos there was a minimum she had to reach before she was able to get it. Her mom wouldn't only allow her to get the tattoo if it was something about her. She obliged so she could get her matching tattoos.

Also Lindsey says "based on true events" which gives her legal room to stretch the truth but then in the description of the video says it's all 100% true....in her mind she maybe believe these things actually happened to her but I think she is serious sick. After reading that child abuse book she started to create these stories in her head and then they became real to her...also they got in a argument like 2 months ago which caused them to cuts ties and then she miraculously comes out as being abused and writes a 92 page book because "she didn't want to drag it out" or because she needed a quick $$$ and a shocking story line that everyone would be so curious to read...hmm seems a little fishy to me

Agreed. " based on true events" all she needs to do is make 1 thing true may it be the state, city or County and then everything else fabricated it can still be labelled as "based on true events".

I do agree with everyone saying that it is dodgy that she was saying very vague answers. If a person knows they are innocent they defend themselves to the bitter end and prove their innocent.

I don't believe either of them to be honest. I also don't believe either of them is innoccent. I do agree with keirstin (sorry if spelt wrong) that both are toxic to each other and both do need space between each other. They feed off each other. We've all seen that for years

We all are speculating at this point. So with that being said I'll go into speculation banter.


For all we know keirstin has been manipulated by Lindsey after all these years. People with mental disorders always return to the one person that will feed into their stories and believe them which in turn is keirstin.

Maybe both Kristy and lindsey have mental issues and feed off the attention they crave for.

For all we know lindsey created mulpite pages and started the story saying it was her mother posing as her when it was her. Maybe it is ture and Kristy did create those pages. Lindsey has multiple face books and instagram pages. That she created (by she I mean lindsey).

Also is lindsey doing this to get her 15 minutes of fame on doctor Phil (she is friends on Facebook with an executive producer) ***( but if she is the truth will come out on that show so I'm not sure if it would be a bad thing for her to be on there)***

Maybe this is all an elaborate scheme to get on Dr. Phil and have that 15 minutes??

The only reason why I don't believe Lindsey is because of the way she comes out talking about her book. She talks like if this is a book about butterflies or animals idk it just seems to me like she is more excited about the book selling than what actually is written in the book if that makes sense. And in the other hand I feel like lindsey is doing this because she looks like a girl who will take every penny from her mom and now her mom is taking care of herself and buying things for herself and no momeny for lindsey. I could be wrong but thats how i see it
