This has been talked about so much but I can't stress enough about how stupid Kyra is asking parenting advice on YouTube when the majority of the fandom are 12 year old girls? (I love Kyra though and personally would be able to watch OKBABY way more if it was just her)

I potty trained my son at 19 months with no problem, so it's doable if they are ready. My nephew was also potty trained around 16 months.

Jumping from Levi's speech delay to how his parents are smart about money to how they make more than the poster's dad and how much they make a year. Wtf logic?
Just forgot to quote the poster's second post (where she was talking about money management and how much her dad makes a year). Not a big deal.

she has always thought she knows more than anyone else and such so ofc i wouldnt expect anything less from her commenting. Just ignore it. yes speech delays are a real thing that is why milestones and guidelines for ages exist..both the babies are speech delayed. doesnt mean theyre stupid or wont catch up or that there is anything developmentally wrong except for the fact their parents are lazy and dont work to teach them.. but hate to break it to ya, speech delay is real and common. not everything is sunshine and rainbows.
Sharing your knowledge doesn't mean that you know more than anyone else, I told you many times that I probably don't know more than you do. You just don't like when I post lol. I was a speech language therapist, so I guess I know about speech delays, and not everything being sunshine and rainbows ;) Thanks. I also know for a fact that Levi doesn't have a speech delay yet.

Girl, if showing you that he is objectively (according to medical specialists) behind on speech is "putting kids in cases" then I guess I am? My whole point in posting the CDC link was to show that they should be worried. Who knows what goes on when the camera is off, but I am just making the point that they should be concerned and taking the steps to help improve his speech. Also, I do know what speech delay is because I am a teacher and we get trained on that. I am no genius, but by 1 year old I was calling people by their names, so yeah, him not knowing any words is stunning.

Also, I bet they might make more than my dad!! But the point of my anecdote was to show that their money management is off. So no, they're not good at money. Sorry.
There is no need to worry right now. He is what, 18 months? I have had many patients who were not talking at the age of 3 years old, and were expressing themselves amazingly well 2 years after. I was talking like a 3 yo at 18 months, whereas my brother and cousin didn't say any words before 3. Our nephew only knew the words "daddy" and "dog" from 16 to 24 months. It is very common and there is nothing to worry about, really. Therapists don't even take kids at this age anyways. Every kid is different and develops skills at his own pace. There is no such thing as being "behind on speech" at 18 months. Levi is a smart kid and seems more lazy than "seriously in delay", I'm not worried for him. I'm not saying he will not have a speech delay. I'm saying that he doesn't have one now. We will see what he can say in a year.

From what I've seen they are talking to him all day. I know it could be wishful thinking, they could be seeking speech therapy, sometimes there's a wait to start it. Idk maybe I'm being sensitive. I would feel like crap if people said it to me or behind my back. My 3 yr old Son has autism and we talked to him all the time. His speech regressed. Then of course, we found out he is autistic when he was 2.5. He is finally talking more. Thank goodness. I kinda feel like Levi doesn't talk as much anymore. Anyway, Oscar could change his mind about having more kids. I've seen it happen with people I know. They swear up and down 2 kids and They're done. Now they're pregnant..Their youngest child is 4 or another couple I know their youngest is 6. Lol.. it's funny and cute.
I agree, I don't think it's totally their fault, they read books, they talk to him, they ask him to say/repeat. He would just need more interactions with other kids.
We don't take kids at 18 months, it's way too young to diagnose a speech-language pathology and start a therapy.
I wish you the best for you and your son <3

I have the feeling that they will end up with 3 children!

I also think they've matured a bit and grown up and they seem way happier !
I've noticed it! It's much better. However I had to cringe when I saw Alaya under this heavy blanket :o Oscar was seriously looking for her.

So I can't post a shot of it. "The quota has been reached"?
But Alaya was under a mountain of blankets in this vlog...

That is terrifying and you could tell he couldn't find her right away either! Why do two idiots get these children when their are hundreds of people who would love a child but can't have one, and wouldn't endanger them daily!

The unfairness of the world. Teens make great fertility machines, not always great parents. (Not starting a war, I know lots of teens are responsible and lots of adults are not, but more often than not the maturity level to care for another human being just isn't there before your early 20s). Has to do with impulse control and the maturation of the prefrontal cortex. Historically wasn't a huge problemish because babies were raised with extensive support of family.. not the case for these two.

Well, yes they can be speech delayed at 1.5 years old. There is a program called early intervention and they start speech as soon as possible. Pediatrians always ask at the 18 month old appointment how many words the child is saying. My kids had EI and they all had speech therapy before 2. Maybe it's different by state.

Couldn't add*
For my kids it was different reasons. Early intervention evaluates the child at home. My oldest daughter was a premature born 8 weeks early, so they have EI come when she was a little baby. My middle daughter started for speech at 14 months old and some Ot . My son actually started ei a little later for speech. My mistake. Not trying to be rude, but kids can have speech therapy before 2 :)

What the actual fuck. I can't believe what I just saw, these two are seriously so clueless and aren't qualified to have kids yet.

I don't watch these guys often, but her being basically buried under a big, thick blanket and so close to the edge was scary.

Sids is a real risk, and it's not something they take serious as I remember Levi used to be covered when he was young as well.

Why risk it? These things happen everyday to people..

My kid had early intervention from very early. Think we started speech therapy at 14 months? As she had lots of words then it stopped after her first birthday

You had plenty of patients who didnt speak before 3 and then were amazing 2 years later? Thats, great, but that improvement was made with speech therapy, not just out of thin air.

Also, you have reminded us a bunch how you are from a small country, so please acknowledge that the US and other countries have different protocols (such as early intervention and speech therapy for kids under two)

Omg did anybody else notice just how long Alaya's nails were in the latest vlog?? At least they don't put mittens on her unlike somebody else we know and thank god she doesn't seem to scratch herself but damn they should really cut her nails. Not a cute look.

I'm still confused as to why Oscar needed to go in and make loads of noise and allow Levi to wake Alaya like that and then proceeded to tell her to go back to sleep! Umm you just woke her you dick! While Kyra is gone it's best for Alaya to sleep so she won't want boobs! And yes my god her sleeping under that massive duvet is terrifying!!

Why does Oscar do most of the things he does? He's a giant child that doesn't think before doing anything. That's why he says rude things and then follows it with "just kidding" so often.
