Stupid question regarding the house, for those of you who own homes: if they WERE going to live there for 20+ years, would you say it was a slightly better investment compared to Oscar's idea of them only living there for five maximum?

Not really, because even though it will be an investment in the future, it won't allow them a continuous cash flow and financial freedom. It would have been a lot smarter for them to buy a house for half the price and to rent it out in the future (-> create cashflow). Then they can focus on buying their next estate property. Buying a house which they could never afford without their current income (wasn't oscar a general warehouse worker? those make like $12/hr where I work) is not only HIGHLY dangerous given the nature of their industry, but also will not be useful as an investment in the near and potentially long future. I do not see them renting it out and normal mortgages last 30 years. And no, buying a house and selling it to buy a bigger house after 20 usually always results in negative cashflow due to the amount of interest which is being paid within the first 10 years of a mortgage. I feel very fortunate being able to own a house at 23 years old and I can clearly tell that property/investment-wise these two have no idea what they are talking about, which is incredibly dangerous considering that we are talking about such a high sum of money here. Walking around screaming "OH MY GOD LOOK THIS ONE IS SO CUTE, LOOK AT THE KITCHEN" does not sound like a financially wise decision-making process.

Why is Kyra doing a Keren and covering Alaya's hands in the latest vlog? I know they both like to copy each other, though they don't like to admit it... but I can't understand why anyone in their right mind could watch Keren's half arsed attempt at trying to parent then go off and try to copy it. If anything, her vlogs are a good guide on what not to do. Or perhaps Kyra has seen the flack Keren has gotten recently for constantly putting socks on Landon's hands and decided up jump on board with mitten train as a big up yours to their "haters"

Someone on the 8 Passengers thread said they might have an "OKbaby situation where all the minions turn on them". I only recently started watching okbaby consistently, & a few of us were wondering what the situation was when fans turned on them. Any idea what it might've been?

I just came here for the same reason! I don't know what they're referring to and I'm curious too...

They didn't upload for days and days and got like 10 days behind. The viewers started calling them out about it and Kyra went on a Twitter rant and basically called everyone complaining a hater which went down like a lead balloon. Since then their views per vlog have halved. Serves them right to be honest, they uploaded their playlist vlogs 5 freaking days after playlist was over, when they were staying at kkandbabyj' should who managed to upload everyday. Then they came back with a 6 minute vlog saying they just skipped days because they 'didn't feel like Editing' and everyone went nuts saying how this is their only job and they can't even be bothered to do it ect ect.

It took them months to catch up but they got behind again like a day later, so basically they've been doing this shit for months and got mad at their fans for finally being fed up and calling them out on it. Their excuses are bullshit and it shows how immature and entitled they are.

It took them months to catch up but they got behind again like a day later, so basically they've been doing this shit for months and got mad at their fans for finally being fed up and calling them out on it. Their excuses are bullshit and it shows how immature and entitled they are.

I honestly think they would have been fine had they just owned up to it and said that they'd be posting as often as possible, but it would no longer be daily because it was too hard to keep up. They should have skipped days that they missed (unless they were doing something different than normal) and stopped trying to catch up, I think most people want to see what's happening as currently as possible and don't care as much about skipped days. I dunno, that's just my two cents.

True. I think the 1 million thing was just the straw that broke the camels back, I think everything else that lead up to that was already leaving a bad taste in people's mouths, then once it was obvious that they didn't care as much as they once seemed to (with the lack of enthusiasm or lack of anything, really, about reaching a million), that's when people started to turn on them.

You had plenty of patients who didnt speak before 3 and then were amazing 2 years later? Thats, great, but that improvement was made with speech therapy, not just out of thin air.

Also, you have reminded us a bunch how you are from a small country, so please acknowledge that the US and other countries have different protocols (such as early intervention and speech therapy for kids under two)

It's more because we start school at the age of 3 in my country. Kids have more interactions, they learn more, they learn faster. Sometimes we don't take them at the age of 3, and wait after the first year of school (a lot of kids don't need a therapy).

I'm glad you have early intervention, and I'm not surprised. The rate of autism is twice higher in the US, also something to take in consideration. Anyways, I was only talking about "speech delays", nothing more, nothing less.

Like they did the first time they were gonna buy a car in Montana. It didn't work out and they bought their car months later in California.
