Re: OkBabiesRaisingBabies: Part 12
Did anyone see Kyra's tweets last night asking for advice about Levi screaming every time they try to put him to bed? People were giving her suggestions about rocking him to sleep, giving him a bath or reading a story to calm him down.
Hey Kyra, here's an idea...how about having ONE parent calm him down an hour before bedtime and QUIETLY put him in his crib!! NO kid wants to try and fall asleep when his parents put on a big show for a vlog and dump him in his crib while screaming themselves "gooood niiiight bogussss, we'reee going to love and misssss youuuuu!!!" The kid doesn't think it's bedtime, he thinks it's showtime!! Why would he ever think it's time to settle down when his idiot of a father makes all the noise in the world and he knows all he has to do is start crying and they'll give in!
Ahhh...simple common sense Kyra!!
Ok, rant over!

I call BS a small loan no way, why would it take so long if it was a small loan with their income the lenders should have no prob with it right!dnbunny wrote:o

Re: OkBabiesRaisingBabies: Part 12
exactly there's no way the loan wouldn't pass if it were actually small. Also they don't seem terrible with money but they also don't seem like they would be the type to have a bunch saved to put down on a house.webbygurl626 wrote:I call BS a small loan no way, why would it take so long if it was a small loan with their income the lenders should have no prob with it right!dnbunny wrote:

I've always found that so odd. They are playing in the living. Then they say time for bed!! and throw him in the crib and leave while he is still screaming. Plus it's usually still day light out.rottiemama wrote:Did anyone see Kyra's tweets last night asking for advice about Levi screaming every time they try to put him to bed? Re: OkBabiesRaisingBabies: Part 12
The naps they make him have probably aren't helping either, there is no routine I know if my son has a late nap he won't be tired at bed time so I settle him for decent afternoon nap, Levi gets whiny as they say then they put him in the bed no matter what time it is he needs some kind of routine why is that so hard for them to understand?Stellar wrote:I've always found that so odd. I'm not backing them up, but I will say it doesn't get dark until 10pm during the summer in Utah. However, that's not to say they don't want to deal with him and just dump him in his crib at 7pm.

Re: OkBabiesRaisingBabies: Part 12
I dont understand why they'd buy a house that big NOW. When they only have 2 kids. they also dont agree on the length of time they wanna be living there, or if they want more kids or not. Those are big things to disagree about. Additionally, they arent married. I know you dont have to be married, but that makes it easier when you own a house and if they break up, who would get the house? And how would they afford it? Just things i dont think theyve thought about.

Re: OkBabiesRaisingBabies: Part 12
they said the problem has nothing to do with them, in fact they're paying the owner $150 a day just so he won't sell the house to somone else. I think the issue is mostly paperwork and they can't do anything about itwebbygurl626 wrote:I call BS a small loan no way, why would it take so long if it was a small loan with their income the lenders should have no prob with it right!dnbunny wrote: //uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201706 ... ee9dd4.png o

Re: OkBabiesRaisingBabies: Part 12
Personal story, but relevant.
My brother is married to a teacher who has a huge trust fund. He owns a business but draws zero income from it, so 100% of their income is the teacher's salary. They recently bought a house and paid for most of it with the trust fund, but also took out a small mortgage. They had to provide a ton of paperwork showing they were capable of paying the mortgage because of their situation. I'm sure it's similar for YouTubers who are essentially independent contractors, regardless of the amount of the mortgage. They still have to prove that they can pay whatever amount it is they're taking out, even if they have a lot of money sitting in a bank account. I'm sure they all have to jump through tons of hoops, but if they can show years of tax returns that support their ability to pay, eventually they get approved.

Re: OkBabiesRaisingBabies: Part 12
Can anybody elaborate more on what was said on younow about them paying $150 per day to keep the house on hold? Surely the seller will only do that for x amount of days before they take the escrow money and move onto another seller right?

Yeah this is definitely true and could have something to do with the delay in their paperwork. Generally there are a LOT more steps you have to take in order to be approved for loans- big or small- when you have your own small business, trust fund, or other unique income situation other than the typical job that can be proven with structured pay stubs etc. Even if they submitted what they were asked to submit it probably needs to be approved by higher ups and takes more time to be completed than just the standard loan by people with consistent job income. My fiancee has his own business and even to et approved for a car loan took a lot more time and effort just because he didn't have pay stubs to show. He needed to dig up tax returns and get bank records etc and then it had to be approved by a manager 1 rank above the person who usually approves the loans.

I understand that now it's not on them anymore, they have to wait now. BUT we all now them, how they always wait with everything till the last minute (flights, editing etc), so I'm sure they could have done and send their paperwork earlier (instead of all that travelling)
Re: OkBabiesRaisingBabies: Part 12
The only real thing that's annoying me (apart from their slow ass uploads) is that they are buying a BRAND NEW 7 bedder for $700k!!!!!!
I'm in Australia and the house i'm renting now was infested with Fleas when we moved in, has mold growing on the ceiling, was built in the 50's, had no phone, internet or cable tv before we came along, doors dont close, no heating/cooling or fans, 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and has never been renovated or updated and if the owners were to sell it its estimated value is over $850k!!!
Like i understand if we converted $700k USD to AUD it would be $938k, but still, if i moved to Salt Lake with my Australian money i could pay $100k more and buy a 7 bedroom house with !!!
It literally baffles me that i am also 20, and renting a bomb of a house, and working weekends and 11 hours days just to pay rent, and also infertile, but because they got pregnant as teens and put videos on youtube they can buy a 7 bedroom home, and arent really grateful for it???? like i cant deal.

Look, I don't wanna stick up for them but we don't know that they waited to send their paperwork. Kyra did say they've been in this process for 60 days now. I feel like since a lot of you (including myself) don't approve of a lot of their decisions, you're jumping to conclusions and looking for something to complain about regarding O+K. There is way more that goes into buying a house than a lot of people realize.
Instead, I wanna complain about the fact that in the last vlog Oscar just leaves Levi in the tub and Alaya on the couch chillin. She's young but even Kyra said Alaya is trying to roll over already. Oscar is a dumbass.

Geez chill out its not their fault you live somewhere with a high cost of living and you're infertile. If you don't look too far into their videos they're pretty likable. I used to watch every one of their videos and I loved them until I started reading these forums lol. They're consistently expressed how grateful they are for the opportunity to buy a house like the one they're going after.sarah0b wrote:The only real thing that's annoying me (apart from their slow ass uploads) is that they are buying a BRAND NEW 7 bedder for $700k!!!!!!

Oh i know its not their fault, but it just annoyed me that they can do that. I loved them until i started reading here too, and i still don't mind them. I am purely just jealous!
I'm just having a whinge about the cost of housing and the fact that they can afford it without doing a 'real' job - as some would say.

I feel like they could have had some of this stuff done quicker had they not traveled for SIX weeks straight.
