AND I don't use the crib in lieu of parenting. She sleeps there, and that's it. I don't toss some toys in and leave her alone for hours just so I can go back to bed. When she's awake, I take her out. Don't MOST parents? It truly shocks me that anyone would be that lazy when it comes to their children.
Oh, and after a toddler bed/naptime/poop-horror-show story from a friend of mine with twins (who WERE potty trained at the time), I have a mortal fear of what might happen the first time I leave my darling kid alone with just her thoughts and access to the entire room!
