Gardner Quad Squad
Re: Gardner Quad Squad
I just joined, I have been following you all for what seems like forever. Love the snarking with so many valid points. I think the netted crib top finally pulled me out of lurkdom, well that and the fact that I am hanging around waiting to see if I got food poisoning from some food last night
Oh and I have always had a soft spot for Scarlett. Watching her try and speak about the fireworks the other night was heartbreaking. She was trying so hard and Ashley didnt engage with her about it at all. Anyway, glad to be here!

Re: Gardner Quad Squad
My take on the netted crib is they are comparable to being locked in a closet. Hope it does not cause claustrophobia

Because I assume they don't change them during the day when they are out and about on the vlogs I have seen a few times how full their diapers are poor girlsSneaky_snarky wrote:It's so bizarre. Re: Gardner Quad Squad
I can't even watch with that tent. What if there was a fire or something and you had to wrestle to get your baby out? That seems not only mean and selfish, but dangerous in so many ways. And what does that communicate to your 30 month old? I can't believe the comments on the vlog! Not a single person is saying "um, is that safe?"Aussiegal2017 wrote:Because I assume they don't change them during the day when they are out and about on the vlogs I have seen a few times how full their diapers are poor girlsSneaky_snarky wrote:It's so bizarre. Opening scene - Evie - pulling at her crotch and diaper. They are soaked. 12 hours in pee! And they pee a lot at 30 months. Think of all the milk those girls drink! Please please get these girls out of diapers. For the love. They are in for all kinds of rashes and infections and bladder issues. Evie is pulling at her crotch in discomfort!!

Re: Gardner Quad Squad
I have questioned the same thing numerous times before regarding no diaper bag. With all the things these kids touch when they're out places & floors they crawl on, they never have wipes or anything to wipes hands or even faces. I remember a time at the mall they "had to" actually buy a new outfit for one of the girls for some reason. Why wouldn't you even just keep spare outfits, diapers, wipes, etc. in your vehicle with that many kids? A small plastic container in the back wouldn't take up too much precious Costco space. Still baffles me too that they don't bring sippy cups, small toys, or even their own snacks when going places either. I have 2 kids & sure it takes a little time & effort to pack a bag appropriate for each outing, but gez it's not like they don't have the time to do it?!

"Crib tents"
"Why they’re dangerous: The dome-shaped or drape-style tents are intended to keep a baby from climbing out of cribs and play yards. But babies can get wrapped up in the fabric and strangle.
What to use instead: If your little one is climbing out of her crib, it is time for a toddler bed, which looks like a regular bed but uses a crib mattress."

"Is It Dangerous For Your Baby or Toddler To Climb Out of the Crib?
First, though, a reminder: if your baby or toddler has figured out how escape the crib, don’t ignore it. This isn’t a phase you should wait out. If your baby or toddler is regularly climbing out of the crib, it can sometimes be dangerous. Not always, of course, but sometimes. A child can be injured by falling from the crib (especially if your baby or toddler’s room isn’t carpeted). What’s more, a child who’s loose in his bedroom, in the middle of the night, is at risk (especially if your house isn’t toddler-proofed).
Let’s review a few options to help with your crib climbing toddler."
"DON’T Get a Crib Tent
I realize it’s odd to include a “don’t” in our list of options, but this warning bears repeating. In the past, specialty products called “crib tents” were marketed as solutions for keeping active toddlers in their cribs. Made of mesh, the tents fit right over the top of the crib and zipped shut, making it impossible for toddlers to climb out the top.
Problem was, these crib tents weren’t safe at all. They posed major entrapment and strangulation risks for children. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) launched an investigation into the safety of crib tents in 2008. They (along with 5 major retailers) finally issued a massive recall Spring 2012.
Bottom line: crib tents aren’t safe, and they aren’t a solution for your baby or toddler climbing from the crib."
*
https://www.cpsc.gov/Recalls/2012/Five- ... nt-Hazard/
"CPSC is aware of 27 tent failures including one fatality and one serious injury that occurred between January 1997 and April 2012 from crib tents and play yard tents made by Tots in Mind, Inc. In 2008, a two year old boy died after becoming entrapped between the bottom rail of a play yard tent and the top rail of a play yard. The fatality was reported in a prior recall with the firm in July 15, 2010."
"In 2007, a two year old boy sustained a catastrophic brain injury when the crib tent affixed to his crib tent inverted and the product's broken rod trapped him at the neck. The remaining 25 reports to CPSC involved inverted crib tents-entrapments between the tent and the crib/play yard or failures of the tent fabric and zippers. Three of these 25 reports also resulted in injuries; in one such case, a parent reported finding her child turning blue and entrapped between the product and the top rail of the play yard."

Re: Gardner Quad Squad
Those tents are absolutely terrible. Bonnie Hoellein recently got one for her son's crib, and he is old enough to sleep in a toddler bed just like these girls are. I hate when people go to extreme measures to keep their children in a crib for no reason at all. Get these children real beds!!

Re: Gardner Quad Squad
The crib tent at 2.5 years old is seriously crazy. I put off toddler beds as long as I can too, because that transition is not fun. But... A net? You don't see that every day. I mind my own business in real life but if I had a friend that did this at this age, I would make a friendly comment suggesting a toddler bed. I think a lot of their parenting just comes from being a first time parent. And extremely immature and self centered now that they're "so famous". And then also expecting ppl to cater to them because they have multiples. Whether it be family, waiters, ppl walking by etc
Re: Gardner Quad Squad
I think their "first time parents" excuse for so many things is wearing thin at this point though. They've been parents for close to 3 years now. Their children are individual people now, not "tiny durls" (gag) in a crib. Their decisions are becoming indefensible.
And if, as they've said, there will be no more children because Ashley has no more eggs, they will always be " first time parents".

Re: Gardner Quad Squad
I watched today's vlog. All I have to say is those girls were So Bad in the scenes at lunch in the hotel, and probably at the TV studio too! How and why do these parents and their followers think this is so cute??!!
I honestly don't understand. They are so darn loud, and don't listen at all!

Re: Gardner Quad Squad
What the hell is with Tyson and Ashley keeping the girls penned up so long?? They are desperate to minimize the time they have to spend with them. Toddler beds with be so manageable if both parents got up with the girls everyday and tag teamed the quads. Kids need to get up and play! Get fresh diapers! Eat breakfast! They lock them up, stuff them up with constant food, hand them off willy nilly to other people. Could any person hate parenting any more than these two??
I know they love their kids. But they love themselves more. Their sleep comes before the girls. Their "couple time" comes before the girls, their trips and friends and opening packages and counting their money comes before the girls. They are going to spoil these girls rotten. Overweight, bad teeth, bad manners, entitlement.... Yes Assley, what a "bright spot in someone's day!" Maybe they could've been if you'd put aside the girls' formative years to spend time with your own daughters! They are counting on you to teach them and raise them right.
Tyabetes is so fed up with parenting that he's turning more and more to food. Admiring boxes of donuts, giant sodas, treats and snacks and take-away daily. Now he's teaching his daughters this. Did you see Evie shoving the jam in by the mouthful today? She's addicted to sugar and the poor thing was just trying to satisfy the craving. When others have food, they circle them like vultures and scream "bite!"
Now none of this is the girls' fault. Nature verse nurture is switching gears now from nature on to nurture. Raise these girls right!

Re: Gardner Quad Squad
I can't even imagine how Asswit and Tyrant will treat the girls when they're older. Overweight, with bad teeth, bad manners and behavior, and probably bad acne from their diets. And not bringing the cash in, because nobody will want to see their lives then.
The poor girls won't know what's happened when mommy doesn't even want to dress them in New clothes every day like dolls, or sit and do their hair several times a day. (That's the only real attention their mother gives them consistently).
And "when one has food the others circle around like vultures and scream "bite! bite!"". So true and sad...
All I can see now are those undecorated bedrooms with blankets covering the windows and nets covering the crib tops.....
It kind of makes me shiver

Re: Gardner Quad Squad
Anyone else notice the only time the girls are perfectly still is when CRAP is doing their hair? You think they have had their hair pulled? Jerked around and treated roughly by CRAP? We can tell there is absolutely no discipline and those silly timeouts are a joke So why would FOUR TWO YEAR OLDS sit still for their hair to be slicked up into rubber bands when they never stop misbehaving? We all have seen CRAP jerk things from them and treat them rough yet totally against spanking and discipline. I just don't think CRAP is normally a nice person unless there is a gain in it for her.
Snarky is as snarky does!

Haven't been watching the vlogs like I used to because I detest T&A so much. I watched today's and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the net. So sad and pathetic just like all of T&A's parenting decisions. Not only is the girls' behavior atrocious in public, but so is T&A's! The FTYO screaming and whining, Ashley's screeching, and then the 2 of them with their phones in their hands constantly narrating. I would run far away if I heard that pack of animals headed my way.
Per Instagram the girls had another well-check today. You guys will have to report back how advanced they are this time around.
