@onbreak - Did I read that right? You know someone's dad that was on OJs defense team? :O
No, I just pointed out the Kardashian kids come from defense attorney money.. their dad, Robert, was one of his lawyers during the murder trial

Oh yeah, knew that after watching the documentary. The whole thing happened when I was little so I didn't know much about the trial until after watching the documentary.

There was always something I didnt like about Jay...there is no excuse for drunk driving, and to defend those people is just sickening. Guess he had to do something to keep his wife in the lifestyle she grew up in.

Today's vlog sure did give out a scary amount of information on the kid's school, whereabouts, and identification. Wow.

If you know their last name then all of their information is a single click away. They've taken no steps to protect their privacy or remove their info off of the "internet phonebook" type websites.

As ignorant as this may seem, in a weird way I almost think this makes a vlogger better aware of the risks to their safety. A truly crazy person that wants to find a vlogger is going to do so. All you really need to do is watch the vlogs and know what town a vlogger is in and it's pretty easy to find where they shop, live, etc. If you know your address is already out there, then you are going to be more careful.

E&J choosing to put their two year old in the basement is an interesting example... would they have made the same decision if they knew their address was public and only a click away?

Personal example: I had an abusive ex stalk me for years (legit stalking) and I was so much more aware of my surroundings at all times than I ever was before. The only upside was that I knew the threat was there and could be sure to be aware of my surrounding at all times. I think most vloggers refuse to acknowledge the threats they have exposed themselves too, and choose to tell themselves they have maintained their privacy and remain ignorant. Although ignorance is bliss, I do feel it comes at a sacrifice and they are all just living in denial of the potential threats to their family.

HS I see how that might make sense, but I don't think that has anything to do with it. I want to think that they're just ignorant to what is out there, or how easy it is to find their last name. However, all it takes is googling their names to find out all you could ever want to know. I don't think this makes them hyper aware of the risks, but rather just ignorant of them.

Oh I don't think it's intentional either. It's 100% laziness and ignorance. I just think is blessing in disguise and that they probably aren't at any more risk than vloggers that try to keep these things private.

That said, I would never reveal details about where my kids go to school. Then again, I wouldn't vlog anything.

I agree it's very easy to find info with just the last name, but all the info they showed everyone today makes it MUCH easier. Hell, we don't even have to do any searching now. We know their teachers and classrooms which is not something you can find just by googling their names. What we saw today is more than we can find with a Google search.

Madelyne did a really good job on that makeup tutorial, but why on earth is a 12 year old wearing a full face of makeup? She has flawless skin. A little mascara and lip gloss would be more than enough for a girl her age. Her "natural look" is more along the lines of something I'd wear on a date night out. Plus the whole thing was a big infomercial for her mom's Mary Kay business.

I teach middle school and I'm telling you, a full face is pretty common these days. Imho opinion at least she's good at it. Lots of my students are not.

I wonder if this is partly why Cullen keeps "joking" about how far away Jay and Kelly live/why they have never straight up said they live three houses down.

Oh don't get me wrong, it makes me sad too, my students shouldn't have more makeup on than I do, but they do (and I am pretty in to make up). I was just saying it is common!

And haha. I hear that I am a saint all the time, but I actually think elementary teachers are saints, I'm too sarcastic and don't have the patience. Middle school is defintely a trying age, and it takes a certain personality to teach it!

Yeah my daughter is in 7th grade and full face makeup is totally the norm. My daughter doesn't wear makeup to school (i allow her to wear light makeup to school, some mascara and gloss, maybe some neutral eyeshadow) but just bc she doesn't want to have to get up any earlier than she already does lol! She does wear full face makeup occasionally if we are going out to dinner or something, and she enjoys playing with makeup at home. I got her a nice travel case of ulta brand makeup on sale and with a $20 off coupon at Christmas last year. It has everything from foundation and concealer to lip sticks in it. Shes at that age where they like to start trying so i allow it. She has one girl in her class that has been wearing full face glamour makeup and straight up stilettos (no joke 3-4 inch heels almost daily) to school since 5th grade. It's a tad disturbing.

Wow, stilettos in 5th grade? Do her parents not know about how damaging high heels are to young feet, legs and backs, or do they just not care?
Sorry, I know it's way OT. This rush to grow up just makes me so sad. My daughter liked to play with makeup and nail polish, but didn't actually wear it out, (funny--now she hates makeup) and when I was 12 and 13, all I was interested in was horses. I wonder if it's because of all of the "beauty gurus" on IG and YouTube.

I wore a full face of makeup in 7th grade. I loved makeup, and my parents looked at it as a form of self-expression. As a 12-13 year old, makeup is so much fun. And it's the only time in your life you fan wear blue glitter eyeshadow and not get weird looks lol. I'm so glad my mom was so cool about it. :-)
