No, there's nothing wrong with it. But Missy's obsession with having a daughter goes beyond that. She has this fantasy little girl in her head that's going to be her best friend, just like she's best friends with her mom, and wear pink and have tea parties. She doesn't even take into account that this child might be a tomboy. She said once that she wanted a daughter to be her best friend "just like I am with my mom". That doesn't sound accepting of any kind of relationship other than best friends. Her disappointment at Finn's gender reveal was palpable. She doesn't just "want a girl after having all boys". She was even disappointed that Gabriel wasn't a girl. She wrote about it in her blog. She didn't believe it at first, because she was so sure she was going to have a girl.
You're absolutely right that there's nothing wrong with wanting to have a child of one gender after having a couple of the other. But that isn't what is going on here.

Ah ok. I haven't been watching them for that long. Maybe around a year or so. So I'm not 100% up to speed.

I disagree. Personality is a larger factor than gender. This is just part of the old school boys and girls have different interests idea.

My 10 year old son is far more "girly" than my friends two "boyish" daughters.

I don't care if they want a girl. I hope I have girls when I have kids because there are no boy names I like (lol jk. I'm sure I'll be able to come up with a name if I ever have a boy  )

They're obsessed. They're disappointed in having boys and show it. They want a girl because they can dress her up, give her girly toys, and like it was said...she wants a best friend like she and her mom are. That's so harmful...one, children can play with any toys. Genders for toys are make believe. Two...what if a little girl isn't what they want? Are they still going to make her dress up, get her nails done, be a dainty little girl? That would be awful.

You should embrace your children for who they are. It shouldn't be based on genitals and your predisposed ideas that go along with those genitals.

The obsession with them does go further than just wishing for a girl after 2 boys. I could totally get on board with her hoping she has a girl, if she didn't resent her boys so much. They already resent the boys they *may* have in the future. They are both always throwing up "the daughter we will never have" or "yeah thats not ever going to happen" when talking about future babies being girls. It's just so strange and unhealthy. I would hate to be the third Lanning boy and hear my parents talk about me like that. Plus the gender reveals?? Missy was legit PISSED for DAYS after she found out Finn was a boy.

Even with Ollie, she had everyone, including herself, convinced that it was a girl...and multiple ultrasounds to confirm. If I remember correctly, she couldn't wait and went to that ultrasound place as early as possible and there probably was good reason to not go out and go boy crazy at the store just yet - but you could tell that she really was hoping that they would go back and decide it was actually a girl. To her, subsequent ultrasounds weren't for confirmation purposes, but a chance for all her girl wishes to come true Image You could just read the disappointment in her face whenever she talked about it.

I just rewatched Finn's gender reveal and you can tell how fake Missy's reaction is. It's all in her face and voice.

He had a runny nose with the banana pop in their own vlog. I wonder if its the carpet holding a weeks worth of dust and dog hair.. Looks like the maid only comes once a week.
Im not surprised they didn't go to church.. What a bunch of lazy lannings! The johnson fam blog had them headed home during daylight.. I doubt they were partying until 3 am

I don't understand the need to go crazy like this. He didn't ask for this, or to be filmed like this and it breaks my heart, it puts him out there for people on forums like this to call him unfortunate looking and make fun of his speech. He is smiling here but looks nervous. Look at him pinching himself in this clip during the singing right after he blew out his candles.

This speaks volumes about how terrible they are as parents. I can read my four year old son's body language and if he's uncomfortable with something, I remove him from the situation. His stability is more important to me than anything else and it proves how the LUMPS only care about themselves and making money than their child's well-being. It's really sad.

Either Missy doesn't know the definition of "actually" or she really thinks things are going to be terrible then is surprised when they aren't. Either way, it's super annoying... didn't she say it like 20 times in one of Finn's updates on her channel?

I wonder why they are pushing their instagram info so hard in the last few vlogs.

I was very surprised that there wasn't even a slight mention of all the problems with yesterday's vlog. I think most of us were expecting something to be said about it. There's part of me that questions his story.
Wonder how much missy bought for juniper at target.
I've never seen such lazy people! All they all do is lounge around in the 10k sofa and go out to eat. Missy was too busy to walk out to the coop and collect eggs?! Oh please. Ollie will not last in school because of his parents laziness.
