No, there's nothing wrong with it. But Missy's obsession with having a daughter goes beyond that. She has this fantasy little girl in her head that's going to be her best friend, just like she's best friends with her mom, and wear pink and have tea parties. She doesn't even take into account that this child might be a tomboy. She said once that she wanted a daughter to be her best friend "just like I am with my mom". That doesn't sound accepting of any kind of relationship other than best friends. Her disappointment at Finn's gender reveal was palpable. She doesn't just "want a girl after having all boys". She was even disappointed that Gabriel wasn't a girl. She wrote about it in her blog. She didn't believe it at first, because she was so sure she was going to have a girl.Pineapples wrote:There's nothing wrong with wanting a girl after having all boys. I don't think it's anything weird to want a daughter. Moms and daughters do have a different dynamic than moms and sons. I have 1 girl and 3 boys and my daughter is not at all tomboyish.

You're absolutely right that there's nothing wrong with wanting to have a child of one gender after having a couple of the other. But that isn't what is going on here.
